Any movie that has people being afraid of starfish attack is probably silly, but silly fun.
I've got a good mind to join a club and beat you over the head with it.

Then expect something that's fiercer, more cruel, and deadly than anything that's walked the Earth.

This looks barely a single step up from Asylum fare. I'll pass on it, as with most Chinese monster movies.

Is there a site or resource somewhere for keeping up/looking into all these Chinese monster movies and how to watch the here in the west?
I unapologetically, wholeheartedly, and without a doubt hate Godzilla vs Kong.

If you have Facebook, just follow Avery Guerra.

I'm sure you can take the Chinese characters for the film's title, usually placed within angle brackets "<>", and put it in Youtube or Youku and find the film to watch.

I stopped using my facebook page. It's impossible to keep up with it if you're not willing to spend time every day on it. Just checking up on it a couple times a month leaves you completely swamped to ridiculous levels of data, and this is just only following family and a few friends of family.

Thanks though. :)

I suppose that if you're curious about any specific film, let me know which and I'll track down a way to watch it for you.

I think it is meant to be a sequel to Zoombies*.

*BTW, Zoombies is a pretty decent and clever pun, at least to me.

Question: Should I include the recently-announced Gundam movie here?

I don't know, depends on whether there are monsters besides the mechs.

There is not. That said, I feel like we should have a dedicated mecha thread here - there's a huge overlap of fans between the giant monster fandom and giant robot fandom.

Thanks, I'll take you up on that if I can track down more info on what giant monster movies from China exist and if any are considered good (special effects quality not withstanding).

I just saw that Cowgirls vs. Pterodactyls came out this year.

Is there a trailer for it? I remember seeing on here somewhere some kind of early trailer and I remember the pterosaurs looked like the relatives of the space bird from The Giant Claw. Also, is it available on home video yet?
