Old Dinosaur Related Movies/Shows
This should be in the media center, but I do to both questions. I own a lot of dinosaur movies, and The Last Dinosaur is a guilty pleasure of mine.

I used to love Disney's dinosaur. I find it annoying that people complain that the dinos were talking in that movie.

Being a Don Bluth fan and just plain old nostalgic, the first Land Before Time is definitely one of my top favorites. I also love the original King Kong, The Land Unknown, One Million Years BC, The Valley of Gwangi, Jurassic Park, and We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story!
As for tv shows... Eh. I guess Dinosaurs. (I love that catchy theme)

After seeing that breathtakingly epic intro that had no dialogue whatsoever, I think those complaints are understandable. The movie could have easily gone without dialogue, much like the dinosaur segment in Fantasia. But I don't hold it against the movie. I thought it was still enjoyable.gzilla46 wrote:I used to love Disney's dinosaur. I find it annoying that people complain that the dinos were talking in that movie.
Q: Will we see that monster that Bryan was going to reveal this morning at the press conference?
Cranston: Oh yeah! The only Godzilla movie with an X-rating.

I'm currently rewatching the 90's cartoon Extreme Dinosaurs (It's like TMNT, but with dinosaurs).
Also loved Prehistoric Park and have one or two of the promotional books that went with it.
And I have the first 10 or so Land Before Time films on VHS.

Ah, Extreme Dinosaurs or as I like to call it: "TMNT but good" *holds up shield*W2daERN wrote:I'm currently rewatching the 90's cartoon Extreme Dinosaurs (It's like TMNT, but with dinosaurs).

Prehistoric Park is also an interesting show as well. If you didn't already know, the entire series was recently released on DVD. I bought mine at Target for around seven dollars. Definitely a good show.

Re: Old dinosaur related movies/shows
Prehistoric Park is a great continuation of Chased by Dinosaurs, I would have loved more episodes.
We've gotten a small number of new Dino films this year, Dinosaur Project, Age of Dinosaurs, Rise of Dinosaurs/Jurassic Attack, Dino King.
Not to mention the upcoming Walking with Dinosaurs 3D, The Good Dinosaur, and of course, Jurassic Park IV.
There can never be enough dinosaur films though.

I used to have Planet of the Dinosaurs on VHS, until my VCR ate the tape. That one was pretty decent, if memory serves. I'd like to see it again someday.
I was also a big Land Before Time, Extreme Dinosaurs, and Dink the Little Dinosaur fan as a kid. I had a few of the movies and episodes on VHS, and I watched all of them into the ground.

Yeah I liked Planet of Dinosaurs too. An interesting twist at the end or something would've made it better, but as it stands it's still a fun ride.JAGzilla wrote:I used to have Planet of the Dinosaurs on VHS, until my VCR ate the tape. Yeah, I also remember the VHS of Planet of the Dinosaurs. Can't go wrong with stop motion dinos.
Interestingly enough, I haven't seen any of the Harryhausen dinosaur flicks. The Lost World (1925) was pretty great, though.

I haven't seen the Future War episode in a while, hm, now I know what I'm doing for the next hour and a half.

Here's a huge list I made. Granted I can name 3 or 4 more from the top of my head which I still need to add. And new ones are included too.

I have it on VHS as well. I've only been able to sit through the whole thing once. Being a stoner does not make it any better.H-Man wrote:I've wanted to see that one for some time now...and I'm not even a stoner!TyrantGojira wrote:Oh! I have Ganjasaurus Rex on VHS.
