Saw a few people talking about this elsewhere, very fun read. Great ending.

Anyone notice the similarities between this and Shin? Not saying this is intentional, I think it's a coincidence, but the idea of ancient creatures feeding on nuclear waste and mutating is something that is in both.

Yes, immediately thought of Shin when reading that. The way the panel was drawn reminded me of the scene where they're discussing the nuclear waste from the movie.

Thanks, LSD, loved the story! Can't wait for the next one!

To me, however, the monsters in the story looked more like Varan than Godzilla - spiked backs and all.

Is this from the 2014 anthology manga?

I couldn’t seem to find the story listed here: https://maserpatrol.wordpress.com/2014/ ... a-special/

No, it’s from the Godzilla comic. The name is literally “The Godzilla comic”. I own the Godzilla comic, The Godzilla comic strikes back, and the 2014 anthology. The guy who runs maser patrol did his own translations for a few of the stories, and I suggest you check those out.
