Spoiler:
“I must say sir, we have quite the collection of kaiju DNA for our invasion, but are you sure this will be enough?”

The tentacled extraterrestrial looked at the vault his masters had collected from the many kaiju of Earth and beyond, pieces of flesh torn from their battles. A massive chunk of Mothra’s wings, the severed dorsal plate of Godzilla, an entire piece of muscle and rib bones from Baragon, and even the severed head of one of millions of Super Gyaos’ that scavenged the land. The newest piece to the collection was a severed foot from the Brown Gargantua, Sanda, and even some elbow skin from the legendary hero himself, Ultraman.

“Well, yes and no.” His master replied from the shadows. “You see, these pieces of flesh will certainly give the Trilopods enough to truly become the clones of their inheritors. But it is still rather incomplete. You see, these are just tiny specks compared to our creatures, just small footholds that will only get their evolution so far. In order to truly give them all of their power, we’d have to get entire bodies of monsters. That will be enough to fuel their fire for hundreds of generations to come! We need tons of monsters with Godzilla’s genes, tons with Mothra, tons with Ultraman… this will only give a couple of them their powers at best.”

Both master and servant watched as an Alpha Trilopod continued to suck some of the DNA from the Gyaos head from a tube. Once it finally finished, it scurried over to a resting Beta, that looked at the Alpha with a small gleam of excitement in it’s eyes. The Alpha crawled onto the Beta’s back, then bit down on the back of its neck, sending the genes of the Shadow of Evil into it, as it’s body melded into it. Suddenly, it’s yellow flesh was turning brown, red eyes gleaming yellow, and massive bat wings bursted from it’s back.

Karkaro smiled as the Trilo-Gyaos roared out loud, joyed of it’s evolved form.

“A small taste of what is to be.”

He slithered over to his massive computer desk, sending the camera far above his underground base in Antarctica, above Earth’s atmosphere, till it finally reached the point where the entire continent was visible. “But enough chat. We must find our next test subject for our army! And I know just the place to look.” He sent his miniature drone over to an island in the south pacific, a place where kaiju roamed free without care. Monster Island would certainly be a goldmine for new Trilopod hybrids. Zooming in on the island shore, it had seemed a conflict was taking place.

***

A pale heat wave had struck the tan foot of the young monster, as he cried out in pain, falling onto the sand. The hippo monster, Daigoro, was now at the mercy of an alien lifeform that had arrived just not long ago. His ear splitting screech blew out his eardrums as his tiny arms flexed in a show of power. Bemular had headed down for his kill. Another heat wave builded up in his jaw, flames licked at the air and his lips. Daigoro, still down a foot, could only look on powerless as the deranged creature continued to march forward.

Another roar had entered the vicinity.

Bemular stopped his attack, then looked up at the hill. A giant theropod stared him down from above, his blue scales shone in the sunlight. He roared again at Bemular, before jumping down with a ferocious kangaroo kick!

It had struck Bemular straight in the chest, sending him flying back into the sea, as his attacker landed triumphantly between him and Daigoro. This wasn’t the average monster Bemular was dealing with anymore, rather an ancient being that had millions of years of combat experience. The one, the only.

Gorosaurus.

As Bemular raised his head above the waters, he growled. This idiot stood between him and his prey? He would pay for it! Another heat beam charged, shooting straight at the allosaurus’ head, but he moved out of the way swiftly. His head shot upward, hitting Bemular’s jaw again, pain shooting up it and down his spine as he felt something dislocate. Gorosaurus spun around, the sharp tip of his tail shot down at Bemular’s abdomen, poking holes that leaked blood as he cried out. Then, his massive jaws latched themselves onto the beast grey legs, able to pick up his entire weight as he was spun around in the air, before finally being flung away, his head colliding hard with rock.

As his head continued to spin, fear filled Bemular’s gut. He had picked the wrong monster to mess with, and now he had to escape! A blue sphere surrounded him as he curled up into a ball, then he shot off into the air, cowardly fleeing from his battle. Gorosaurus snorted in victory, then turned to Daigoro. The hippo monster couldn’t thank the primeval monster for his save. Smiling, Gorosaurus nodded his head, and then turned back to the lush jungles of Monster Island to finish his rest that was interrupted by Bemular’s attack. Daigoro, meanwhile, would rest on the shore as his foot continued to heal.

***

“My, my , my, what a spectacular display of power!” Karkaro said in amazement. “Such strength will fill our Trilopods with brute force that will certainly take over this globe! I must have him for ourselves.”

He scurried over to his signal, informing the rest of his men to his new plan. “Cryog army! I want you to head over to Monster Island in our spaceship. Find the monster named Gorosaurus and knock him out, bring him over to our base!”

2 hours later.

The hard-working man sighed as he finished sipping on his coffee. He looked at the monitors that showed all the creatures that lived on this magnificent land, beasts that were still beyond a mere human comprehension even after years of research and knowledge.

Eren Jaeger, however, wasn’t what one would call a mere human.

One of two of the remaining Titan-Shifters in this world besides his brother, Shikisima, Eren wanted nothing more but to put his monstrous side behind him for good, but he knew well enough that would never come to pass. One day the Earth would need him for a fight, and the Titan inside him needed him to be there if it needed his help. Still, he actually hadn’t accessed it in a while ever since the Titans had disappeared… well, not the other Titans, the humanoid ones. The ones that he technically was as well. Ever since the Titan War back in 2015 that reached its climax once he, his brother as the Armored Titan, the first Godzilla and Gamera had finally slayed the Colossal Titan once and for all, it had seemed the Titans had just disappeared from the face of the globe. Granted, they were probably just in hiding like the Gyaos and Skullcrawlers, but still.

He had been a big part in the war due to his transformation into the Attack Titan, who brutally slayed the other ones and let the military’s of the world know more about the Titans as a whole. Still, that wasn’t enough for him. He still felt the urge to know more, but he and his brother still only knew so much, and the Titans themselves didn’t appear in any history books, so both of them were still majorly in the dark. This was why he began working on Monster Island. Much as a stretch as it was, he was hoping that maybe getting closer to Earth’s kaiju, he could be more in touch with his own monster. In a way, it even felt like it was working.

Suddenly a dull sound began ringing in his ears. He tried brushing it off just in case if he was just hearing things, but it just continued to get louder and louder, finally reaching the point where he knew it had to be real. A yellow glow had entered from the windows in his base.

Walking outside, he saw the glow become brighter and brighter, forcing him to shield his eye from it. As his vision began to adjust, however, he saw the massive shape of a purple UFO hovering overhead...
And that's where i'm gonna leave things. :P
looking good, cant wait to read this

Spoiler:
Even through the howling wind that permeated the frigid atmosphere, all of the Columbia River Gorge could hear the distinct bugling of two bull elk as they circled one another, their dark eyes piercing daggers as one threatened the other to back off before things got ugly. The larger bull, a proud old beast with antlers nearly as long as a grown human and strands of old fur hanging loosely off a thick mane, pawed the ground with his left hoof as he roared once more, kicking up puffs of snow to become one with the snowstorm that raged around them. The younger bull neither bellowed back nor backed down, pawing the snow in his own display as he swung his antlered head from side to side.

Not too far away, a small harem of cows stood in a good-sized clearing, some grazing on any visible grass while others watched the spectacle, waiting for the victor to be decided.

The wind seemed to howl along with the older male as he bugled again, a final warning to the youthful bull that opposed him. The young one, desperate to earn his place this year and pass on his lineage, roared right back as he pawed the snow aggressively… … …

… … …and the howls of the wind were drowned out by a thunderous ruble that shook the mountains themselves.

The antlered ungulates ceased their mating rights stand-off to look out over the cliffs, ears perked and alert. It didn’t take long for them to spot a massive shape moving through the gorge, half-obscured by the masses of snow that fell from the overcast sky. The herd of elk backed a good distance away from the cliffs as they watched the blizzard-masked colossus continue to tromp through the Columbia River, the beast looking all the more intimidating being seen from such a distance.

While most of Oregon’s local fauna were busy searching for and attracting mates, some had already mated themselves. A deep, low-frequency roar echoed from the throat of the male MUTO, the prehistoric giant testing his echolocation skills against the snowstorm he waded through. While the storm did not hinder his physical prowess in the slightest, he was having a bit of trouble seeing ahead. The MUTO let out a series of dolphin-like clicks that echoed throughout the mountains, attempting to communicate with his mate from a distance. Sure enough, after a few seconds a deeper set of clicks greeted his unseen ears. Knowing he wasn’t lost, the male called out once more as he kept wading in the direction of the response, his smaller set of arms clutching his recently-acquired gift- a nuclear plant reactor.

The MUTO was grateful to be able to wander this land in peace and quiet rather than be constantly assaulted by its former inhabitants. For reasons the MUTO did not know, this particular region had been largely devoid of human contact for quite some time. The roads were no longer filled with moving vehicles, and most of the houses and towns seemed abandoned.

But in their place, life was flourishing here more than ever.

Taking a brief moment to shake all the snow off him, the male continued along his way, the earth shaking with his every step. Slowly recognizing the terrain around him, the MUTO finally turned left and stepped out of the freezing water. Piercing the mountain face with his hooked claws, the male effortlessly climbed the massive hill to the top, where he finally caught sight of his objective.

Turning her head his direction, the female MUTO called affectionately to her mate, who clicked back as he flapped his wings and landed a close distance away from her. Leaning her head down to his level as she walked towards him, the female grumbled gently as she nuzzled her devotee, who purred in kind before reaching down to clutch the nuclear reactor in his jaws. Taking notice of this gift, the female took it and trudged back to their nesting area, where she began to dig out a spot where she could place the reactor, a place where she would eventually lay her eggs before covering it up with dirt and earth to keep them safe from snowy days such as this. The kaiju couple would reproduce in time, but now was no such time. They would at least wait until it got a little warmer before the process of egg-laying could begin.

One task done with, the male spread his wings, preparing to take a quick run back to the abandoned plant he had found the reactor at, when he felt the ground vibrate. At the same time, a faint boom! reached his ears, one that sounded akin to a bomb going off.

A human bomb.

The female noticed too, and her face contorted in a snarl. Another boom, another vibration in the ground, and the MUTOs exchanged glances. It appeared as though the destroyers had found a way to locate them after all.

Not wanting to waste his energy fighting the damn pests, the male’s right claw began to glow. Rearing it above the ground, he then slammed it back down to emit an electromagnetic pulse that rapidly spread for miles, shutting down anything electric in its path. The pair sighed with relief. Good, that should take care of-

Suddenly, the pair were alert once more, more so than they had been before. The electromagnetic pulse of a MUTO wasn’t just a weapon against electrically-based foes, it had another evolutionary use- it amplified their echolocation. Because of the use of the pulse, the radioactive predators could now detect the signals of other lifeforms in the vicinity.

Detect one they did. And, from what they could tell, a very large one at that.

Flapping his wings, the male MUTO fluttered onto the peak of the hill to overlook the gorge, searching for the potential threat.

The search was not a long one.

Through the haze of the raging blizzard the male spotted a figure moving through the mountains on the other side of the river. The beast was bipedal in nature, and parts of its body seemed to give off a crimson glow. A ridiculously long, squirrel-like tail swung behind it as it moved, and its footsteps sounded akin to bombs going off. The female climbed her way to the peak and took in the sight of the newcomer. A wave of intimidation washed over them, something about the mere outline of the creature holding an aura of unease. Both nuclear parasites could sense the high levels of radiation emanating off the creature, and the same idea clicked in their minds.

This beast could make a far more suitable breakfast for their future offspring, and quite possibly themselves as well.

The male bent low as to make sure the beast didn’t see him, trying to find the right moment to take flight and ambush the passer by- but was somewhat caught off guard when the beast suddenly stopped dead in its tracks. The male didn’t know what that meant, but he had a hunch they hadn’t gone unnoticed. The glowing behemoth stood still as a statue, its crimson glow lighting up the area like a giant lamp.

And then it turned in their direction.

Once more, a feeling of unease set in on the MUTO pair. It was all but clear this beast had noticed them. Perhaps the male’s EMP had given them away?

A powerful roar unlike anything they had ever heard resounded from the glowing monster, drowning out the howl of the wind and sending all fauna scurrying for shelter. The MUTOs both took a step back, the oppressor slightly more visible now due to a decent decrease in snowfall.

A hideously scarred, sickly burnt dinosaurian behemoth with tiny arms that barely reached beyond its axe-shaped sternum, and three rows of glowing red dorsal plates weaved in the shape of maple leaves running down its musculature-exposed back. A round, salamander-esque head watched them blankly with two beady eyes that seemed too small for the skull, with a mouth permanently baring several uneven rows of crooked teeth.

The reptile took a step forward, its bomb-like footstep seeming to emanate its unnatural nature. Its beady eyes fixed on them in a truly eerie fashion, the tumorous saurian reared its ugly head back and roared a second time. It didn’t matter to the MUTOs what that cry meant, their species were hardwired to take a sound like that as a challenge.

And like always, they accepted.

Rearing onto her hind limbs, the female MUTO flailed her six limbs and roared her own battle cry at the mutated dinosaur, her smaller mate spreading his wings and copying the motion. Digging her scythed claws into the earth, the female bellowed and charged at the intruder, the male taking flight behind her.

Godzilla, the nuclear spawn of humanity’s sins, stomped sluggishly in a straight line in a seemingly mindless fashion.

Still working on the Mechagodzilla free for all, but I decided to start working on another thing at the same time, gonna be my main focus once MG Royale is done. Enjoy this teaser for the other thing...
Spoiler:
The pitch-black skies shifted and contorted with the storm’s winds, pouring rain which burned with chemicals. The ocean churned, stained with mass death and decay which sloshed to the surface and polluted the air with purulent stench. In the distance, upon the land, mountains with burst peaks cast molten rock and smoke into the heavens, poisoning the sky.

Captain Douglas Gordon had seen many things in his decades of service. Kaiju of all shapes and sizes, alien invasions that fizzled out in the span of a day and ones that lasted months and cost the whole human race dearly, and all sorts of death and devastation. He was a hard man to shake at this point, it was a joke spread amongst the ranks that a kaiju could roar right in his face and he’d just roar back.

One look at him would be enough to understand why he was intimidating. A broad shouldered and barrel-chested man, he had the physique of a professional boxer. Piercing eyes rested above a bushy mustache, making it look like he had stepped out an old western movie. He was one of the most respected and feared men in all of the Global Defense Forces, and while the superiors may have hated his attitude, they could never hate the results he got.

But right now, Gordon was frightened. It was not the all-encompassing horror that currently engulfed most of his crew, but for him to be anything beyond mildly concerned meant that something truly horrific had come about. The chatter coming from the other vessels flying alongside the Gotengo told Gordon that they felt similarly to his crew.

Leading the pack was the cylindrical warship, mostly black with a red streak down the length of its sides, all of it tipped with a mighty drill. The Gotengo. On its left, three grey ships of smaller size, though still some of the largest aircraft built by humanity. The Eclair, the Rumbling, and the Karyu. The first of them had a sphere held at its forefront, the cockpit, while the other two faced forward with powerful guns. On the Gotengo’s right, three more vessels of anti-kaiju war. The grey, smooth Super X flying by with jets on its underside. The dark-green rectangle that was the Super X-2, a seam down the front ready to be opened to reflect energy weaponry. And finally, the Super X-3, resembling a normal green plane, though far larger than even a jumbo jet.

A collection of the mightiest war machines on Earth, and everyone inside them were all gripped by terror’s icy claws. Gordon glanced to his side, seeing the one other person present who was not totally terrified. Shinichi Ozaki glared forward with a gaze that would kill if looks could do such a thing, internally seething with hatred. He was scared, but it was a small, cold thing easily obscured by the wrath in the mutant prodigy’s heart.

Usually, Gordon would laugh at someone who looked like Ozaki being angry. Smooth-faced, slim but athletic build, he looked more like he belonged on the cover of a magazine than on the battlefield. But Ozaki was also capable of ripping through steel with his bare hands, and could hit a target using a pistol that most men could not hit with a scoped rifle. But the old captain did not respect his chief gunner and second in command because of powers he was born with, Gordon could immediately think of a dozen mutants in the GDF’s employ he’d like to punch square in the jaw. No, he respected Ozaki for always being there when the chops were down, keeping a cool head in the most dangerous situations, and always making the choices that saved the most lives regardless of how they harmed him.

To see him barely holding back utter hatred, so thinly restraining it that all could see it with ease, was something that Gordon had never thought he would see. But everyone had a limit, and there was no way he could blame the prodigy for reaching it in this situation.

His train of thought was cut off by a radio transmission, from the Eclair. “Captain Gordon, I do not wish to come off as doubtful of you, but are you sure Godzilla will remain on our side?”

In the devastated waves beneath the armada of vessels, black scales draped over immense musculature cut through the slush. White spines which resembled maple leaves waved back and forth with his undulating body, a lengthy tail behind the leviathan shifting side to side like the rudder of a boat. Yellow eyes above the waters stared straight ahead, a roaring fire inside them.

Gordon sighed. “Godzilla hates us. I will not deny this for a moment. Maybe he doesn’t hate all humankind, that’s up to the eggheads and the spiritualists to figure out, but he definitely wouldn’t mind seeing us in particular going down in a series of fireballs. But he has helped humanity when Earth itself is in danger. Yes, he’s never been this directly helpful to us, but…”

It came into view. Tokyo, reduced to plains of ash. Millions had lived in this city, each one an individual life going down its own path. Millions who had all wanted to see the Sun rise again, to know that life would continue on in this world. All obliterated, slaughtered like the insects of an exterminated colony.

Colossal corpses filled the former city, most mutilated beyond any recognition. The Earth had sent her armies, as had mankind. Both had fallen.

At once, everyone on board the anti-kaiju squadron felt their breathes catch in their throats. For a moment, Godzilla stopped swimming, eyes widened as he saw it.

Scarlet armor enshrouded a colossus beyond colossi. A serpentine body marched through the ash, behind it trailing a thick tail that could crush a mountain into powder. Four legs carried its bulk, though they were small, the power they had to contain to not snap beneath the weight upon them had to be insane. From the front, eight necks ending in draconic heads that brought to mind a golden destroyer of life. Sixteen eyes watched the approaching forces, as eight grins formed upon the horrific faces.

Orochi gazed not with the madness of a beast, but with the calculating sadism of a sapient being.

“...Even Godzilla knows when he’s outmatched.” Gordon concluded.

Spoiler:
Long, long ago, in the ages before history, the world was ruled by monsters. The word itself has loose definition, for it is easy for those without the proper knowledge to label the inhabitants of the old world, which were far from resembling anyone alive in the modern age, as monsters. Only those that dedicated their minds to their study could recognise them as equally natural creations of the planet’s line of evolution. It was fear of the unknown and the inhuman that landed the first fossils of prehistoric life as monsters in the early history of mankind, where religion reigned before the takeover of science.

But in fact, the mistaken diagnosis was almost close to the truth. At the same time that the dinosaurs began to colonise Pangaea, the real monsters, the titans of history, were already spread across the planet and had claimed it as their own. Through extinction after extinction, where billions died in the wrath of fire and ice, they persisted. As the world advanced, the population of the giants weakened as resources and space ran short, leaving the survivors with the choice to slumber until a time where the planet could support them again, or fight amongst one another for what remained.

Across continents and civilisations, through preserved texts and weathered murals, insight into the shared history between men and monsters can be revealed, but there are only mere glimpses into the past and offer only part of the full picture. Much of recorded and unrecorded knowledge has been lost to the sands of time, but it remains in the collective subconscious, warped by imagination and misinformation into the tales of majestic creatures of fairy tales and the horrific terrors of nightmares.

Over time, investigation into the source of these stories has separated the facts from fiction and revealed the truth of the fantasy world. The unicorn was a rhinoceros, the mermaid a manatee, the werewolf humans with rare disorders. In the end, logic usually prevailed.

But then the monsters returned, as if to challenge the order of the world and humanity’s understanding of its operations. In an age where science and nature competed for dominance, a third party had been awoken and re-entered the ancient competition. The ageless titans of the mystic age, hailing from a period no longer found in the tomes of time, now clashed with the creatures that had replaced them for control of their ancient home. A three-way war that would determine the supreme force on the planet, and the founders of the new world.

And slowly, Man remembered. They remembered the time from where they lived in the shadows of giants. Where they built civilisations under the protections of the colossi that turned a kind hand to them. To the age where the world showed the nightmares behind its facade of beauty and unleashed them to cleanse the surface and let life start again.

The world was safe because mankind was forgotten what came before, because the demons required their primeval fear to exist within our mortal plane. For centuries, the planet was safe, but as the people remembered, the knowledge of these unearthly creatures returned as well…

With knowledge came fear, and with fear came power. The power for those from the darkest pits to rise and live again.

*****

Tokyo. Japan. 10:00 AM.

On an average day, this would be the midst of rush hour, with the city’s spacious streets packed to the brim with people, ranging from tourists in search of the nearest and hottest attractions, to businessmen scrambling to reach meetings that held the promise of future power across the stock market, to rebellious children taking the risk to skive off from school and enjoy the baser pleasures of youth. It was a city of life that operated on organised chaos, and yet managed to not only function, but flourish across the local and economic market.

But this was far from an average day.

The streets that could be bustling with activity lay empty of life, populated only by the corpses of the drowned and the sea creatures that sought the opportunity to invade this new territory. Faint beams of sunlight illuminated the gloomy depths of Tokyo’s flooded avenues from the distant surface wherever it could through the dark veil that hung across the entire coastline of the capital city. It rained heavily, as it had for the last two days non-stop. The clear blue sky was shrouded under layers and layers of dark cloud, pelting the buildings and hills that stood above the flood waters with heavy showers of water, as well as the pulsing geodes that now populated the metropolis.

This was the state of the capital from the effects of a mysterious meteor storm that had affected the entire planet. Wherever they landed, alien crystals surging with foreign cosmic power sprouted and spread like a cancer, generating supernatural meteorological events on an apocalyptic scale. The Earth’s ecosystem was thrown into chaos, and with every hour, the breaking point of no return edged closer and closer.

At this moment, battles raged across some of the planet’s most recognised cities between the forces of good that sought to remove the crystal infection, and the opposing factions that wanted to harness their extraordinary energy surges for their own goals. And here, in the drowning hub of Japanese culture, the next clash for ultimate supremacy was ready to begin.

Standing amidst the abandoned, rain-soaked towers of concrete and steel, two goliaths faced down between the streets of the Minato ward, with their titanic bodies submerged to their knees within the murky, polluted waters. It was only a minor concern for both giants, whose focus was directed on the form on the other and the obstacle that they presented. Tokyo was rich in power crystals and massive in size, spanning across hundreds of districts across twenty-three special wards that formed the metropolis, making it an ample breeding ground and a desirable territory to gain control of. But there was no plan in sharing in this bounty with the other.

The first creature was an organism incomparable to any other life that originated on Earth. Its huge body was layered in rough, thick, crimson plates of chitin and imposing spikes that jutted out across the horror’s shape. Behind it, a segmented, serrated tail splashed in and out of the water, with the pincer upon its tip twitching beyond the beast’s control. Two sets of colossal, bat-like wings lay tucked to its sides while it raised its head, which was decorated with axe-shaped frills of jagged spikes, a tall, amber horn that protruded from the top of its skull, short jaws lined by tusks and loaded with needle-like teeth, and a pair of orange eyes, flickering brightly, and yet at the same time, utterly soulless.

It seemed impossible that such a nightmarish abomination could have developed on this planet. Many would claim that it most resembled the image of the Devil, Satan himself, but Destoroyah was a creature of mortal origin, with possession of power that could rival the gods, and the desire to destroy every speck of life he shared this rotten world with. The mutated horror had come here with a mission and a purpose, but now those goals were cast aside with the presence of the being that faced against him. Something took root in Destoroyah’s soul, an overwhelming feeling that required appeasement as top priority…

The second invader barred no flesh upon its structure. Unlike Destoroyah, it was not born, but made, for it was no living creature, but a metal duplicate of the Monster King himself. The unearthly element known as Space Titanium was the basis of the machine’s shimmering armour, internal systems and weapon production. Within and across the silver giant’s mouth, throat, hands, knees and feet, kaiju-scaled missiles lay primed for ignition. Rows of ‘m’-shaped dorsal plates lined the back of the machine from the tip of its bladed tail to the base of the head, constructed in a manner to almost resemble the skull of the titan it had once intimidated. Stiff hands rotated in their sockets, its jaw clicked open and shut, and crimson lens flashed brightly, designating its operating systems at 100% functionality.

Mechagodzilla was designed as a force for ultimate destruction and conquest. Although the engineers and technicians of Earth’s Global Defence Force had tried to emulate its abilities through the second and third generations of the robot monster, there was no contest with these inferior creations against the original and real deal. Humans had not yet perfected the technology of automatous operation, forcing them to take up the controls of their creations and pilot them into battle. With the use of the Cybanek system, the Vortaak’s Mechagodzilla did not suffer from the same weakness of its false pretenders. It would not hesitate or deviate. As the orders were received, the unfeeling machine would execute them, and its target, with upmost efficiency.

Tokyo. Japan.

Very good story indeed! Only one flaw in your diamond - it's "utmost efficiency", not "upmost".

Just thought you should know.

Spoiler:
A low, chittering rumble quaked from the jaws of the male MUTO as he stepped into the once still waters of Berg Lake at Mt Robinson Provincial Park, causing the biological mirror to ripple across the surface. Clouds of frozen vapor wisped from his jaws on contact with the cold autumn air as he waded through the waters, letting the cold water ignite the nerves in his limbs as he walked. The sun was beginning its course to set, daytime was turning to afternoon, and the already frigid air was about to turn even colder.

But this did nothing to deter the MUTO. His species could thrive anywhere- their great evolutionary strength was their environmental adaptability.

The male continued his walk; every time his scythed limbs impacted the lake floor caused fish great and small to jump out of the water before falling back in. Not very far away, the lacerated corpse of Methuselah lay near the edge of the lake, a crimson glow radiating from within the broken hole in his chest. That crimson glow belonged to none other than his offspring, all neatly deposited within the radioactive carcass to gestate on the scrumptious nuclear energy. The cold water dripping off his limbs as he stepped onto land with a quake, the MUTO trudged over to the corpse of the slain Titan and lowered his head to peek into the shattered ribcage for a better look.

Within the dozens of eggs that his mate had laid, underdeveloped embryos lay curled in the fetal position inside their protective jelly, their strength steadily growing and their recognizable shape of the species ever so slowly forging to perfection. It would be quite a long time before they were developed enough to hatch and begin moving, but even from within their eggs the young were already letting out a series of audible, dolphin-like chirps and chatters. Communicating with each other, and all those around them in the outside world.

The male croaked to them. At once, all of them chittered right back.

A fair distance away, the massive female MUTO watched fondly as her mate communicated with their unborn offspring for a moment, then eventually resumed his walk. While the male patrolled their territory, the female stood still in her vigilance. The biological visor that acted as her eyes never left her mate nor her unborn offspring- if there were any threats in the vicinity, they would not be going by unnoticed.

Unfortunately for them, some didn’t want to go by undetected to begin with.

A thunderous croak made both MUTOs snap their heads up in both alarm and recognition- especially the female. Primordial instincts flared to life and she galloped over to the middle of the lake, grunting for the male to get behind her. The language and intent of that call was clear to her- that was a courtship call if she ever heard one, and one from what sounded like an unusually big specimen.

The male backed away towards Methuselah’s corpse as the female barked loudly, demanding the unseen intruder to leave this place at once. No sooner did her angry voice finish echoing through the canyons did the intruder show itself from behind the mountains. The female could not show facial expression, but the abnormally bright glow of her visor sufficed perfectly for a savage glare as she faced the newcomer. It was another MUTO, sure enough, but this individual was different. She was even larger than the female she faced, with massive trunk-like arms adorned in shining golden scales. Pointed spires towered behind her head; oversized claws walked on their knuckles in a gorilla-like fashion; and two spider-like mandibles clattered beneath her jaw.

MUTO Prime grumbled a deep thunder as she stepped into the lake, her visor brightening the moment she saw the female. Then, she let her gaze wander for a second- and stopped when she spotted two things that grabbed her attention. One was what she was searching for: a male MUTO. But what lay beside him began to spur dark thoughts through her prehistoric mind: the unmistakable glow of a batch of MUTO eggs. This male and female had reproduced! As long as this female and their unborn offspring were around, the male would not be receptive to her advances. She couldn’t produce her own young to thus birth a generation carrying her genes.

And that only left one option in her mind: destroy the eggs!

But as she moved forward, the female stepped in her path, growling like an enraged elephant. MUTO Prime bellowed angrily. This smaller beast thought she could stand up to her? Did she have any idea what kind of stunt she was pulling?! It was one thing to challenge a rival of the same subspecies- it was quite another to challenge the apex of the race! Had this female lost her sanity?

The truth was, the female MUTO DID know what kind of move she was making- and she didn’t care. She didn’t care that her rival was the parent superspecies to her race, didn’t care that this armored goliath was essentially the queen of their species. This knuckle-walking brute couldn’t just waltz into her home uninvited and destroy everything she and her mate had worked so hard to create while replacing it with her own work. She would not allow it. Size did not matter to the female MUTO. This abomination was an alpha species- and with that came the notion that she was too used to being top dog. Too used to getting her way.

The female MUTO was gonna put an end to that notion one way or another. She was gonna teach this prideful parasite a lesson. Should this oversized giant get anywhere near her mate or offspring, and she would tear her apart. Behind her, the male crouched low over the nest with wings spread, chittering a low warning as he waited for the outcome of his mate’s current stand-off.

MUTO Prime roared a second time, telling the female to get out of her way. But the female only screamed into her face, refusing to budge. The motion actually startled the larger MUTO, who took a step back. The female roared, demanding that the intruder leave this place at once. She wasn’t bluffing- and this was her last warning. But the larger Kaiju only pawed the water and growled her refusal. The female held her ground as she got into a combat stance, the stress setting in. Without looking back the she chirped softly to the male, telling him to stay where he was, causing him to crouch lower in response with a nervous chitter. In that moment, it was all too clear the outcome of the situation; nobody was gonna be backing down now.

This was going to get ugly.

MUTO Prime boomed a powerful roar, backing up for a charge. The female MUTO’s howling reply echoed throughout the mountains, rattling snow and sending any rodents, amphibians and reptiles who had emerged scurrying back into their burrows. Ripping her scythed limbs through the water in a threatening motion, the MUTO showed zero fear in the face of what was supposedly an apex superspecies as she too backed up.

In honor of Halloween, my spookiest match in progress.
Spoiler:
Cold.

Overwhelming cold.

A cold that stuck to his bones, that slowed every step and actually made him shiver, causing his spines to clack and echo across the snowy wasteland in which he found himself. Godzilla, stood still and looked into the sky. The blizzard in which he found himself did not show any signs of slowing. It simply grew stronger, covering him more and more in sleet that made him look like a mushy grey instead of his charcoal black usual self. Shaking his head, Godzilla began to continue his trek, his feet crashing though the snow. The monster king did not know where he as going or where he was. He had only awoken in this ever growing storm and was moving to somewhere, anywhere, that he might escape the cold. Just thinking of it caused him to chill.

And the silence.

The silence was overpowering.

Nothing sounded but wind blowing though the air.

It was deafening. Godzilla had never heard a silence this quiet before and it was driving him mad. It had never been this quiet. Not when he tromped though the jungle as a Godzillasaurus and the inhabitants of the jungle stayed quiet. Not when he was at the very bottom of the sea, where only volcanoes and whale cries broke the darkness.

It was just….

Silence.

Silence.

Silence!

Godzilla finally stopped and roared in anger, an echoing cry that would have caused any living being to stop in fear. His boney spines flickered with a cherenkov’s blue before his jaw twitched and exploded out, a searing beam that struck the frozen ground in front of him. Snow imploded in on itself, shooting up before instantly sizzling into steam. The vapor cloud dispersed, leaving a blackened soil and a panting Godzilla. The godzillasaur inhaled in and out, relishing the something shattering the quiet as well as the heat his beam provided. It was a risky move, he had done it many times and each time it slowed him, but the immediate relief was worth it. Godzilla watched the cloud disperse, his own breath joining it as it fogged up. He was almost peaceful...until his orange eyes caught the same fog far in the distance.

Godzilla stopped and snarled. He was torn. Part of him was happy to finally see he was not alone but he had lived too long to know it would be peaceful. All his life, he had been forced to pick a fight with another living thing, and he did not doubt this one would be any different. He howled out his signature roar, a warning that he was no fool. He squinted though the darkness in front of him, near blind from the flurry around him. He was almost positive he had been hallucinating when the darkness was lit by a burning red.

Spoiler:
Once again, the once powerful king opened to his eyes for a bizarre, yet familiar site.

He wasn’t sure how long he had been trapped in this god forbidden dimension. A hundred years? Thousands? Millions or Billions? This place had no real way to even remotely tell time, so he didn’t know. Nor didn’t care. All he wanted to do was finally get out of this place. Finally land on Earth’s grass instead of planetoids that felt like Antarctic ice. Look at a blue sky instead of staring at this annoyingly bright neon purple. Look at the Sun and the Moon instead of hundreds upon hundreds of ring shaped asteroids that too shared the odd color scheme of everything else!

He still remembered the day he got here. He hated thinking about it, but at the same time, it would never leave his mind. One opponent a giant metal statue, the other a giant, red, eight headed dragon. In their human form, the two were apparently brothers, but their monstrous states couldn’t have looked more different. Their fight had run through the entire nation of Japan, multiple times perhaps, until the brothers finally forced him off Earth, and even outside of the Solar System. Despite their divine energy they constantly oozed out, he was able to keep up with both of them easily. Although, their lack of teamwork skills probably played a rather big part in that fight…

He had the metal man on his knees. He was ready to claim victory! And then, everything had of course, come crashing down. The dragon had struck him with rays of purple and red lighting from all eight heads' eyes and maws, which sent him hurtling back into the thing that ultimately sealed his loss: a black hole, which continuously had him in it’s cold grasp. As much as he tried to fly away with his Wings of Light, one last combined attack from the brothers had finally been the thing that even his sheer stubbornness couldn’t match.

For a while, blackness was all he could see, until it finally dropped him off at this location, closing immediately after.

He tried finding some other way out. Perhaps other black holes were littered around this place, or maybe these very planetoids held his chance of escaping his prison, but nothing he found even remotely worked in his favor. And strangely enough, it didn’t seem like anything else lived here. If there was life here once, they were long gone.

Only his strong will allowed him to keep his sanity.

He lifted himself off the ground, his brown skin shuddering as he began to walk on this blue planetoid he had slept on. Although he didn’t know why. This place had no night to really indicate when to sleep.

Yet again, he sighed. This entire place was now his existence, and would be for the rest of his days.

Suddenly, there was a noise.

It was a rather low noise. A droning one, that constantly rang into his eardrums. It seemed to be omnipresent in a way, he had no idea of where it was coming from. Then came a light from his right side. Something he never thought he'd see again.

A black hole.

But how? Why? This thing shouldn’t have been there! Unless somehow reality was beginning to shatter. But why did this matter to him anyway? All that mattered now was the fact.. He was free.

With his wings of light forming, a pure white glow enveloped the entire planetoid he stood on, before it shot off like a comet, disappearing quickly into the void..

Meanwhile, on Callisto

It was incredible to see how fast mankind's technology continued to improve. Via reverse-engineering of all the alien invaders that came their way, humanity had effortlessly zoomed into the stars, making colonies in their solar system. Even the heat of Venus was bypassed by creating great towers that reached up to the heavens, evading the scorching planet below.

Of course after completing Earth’s Moon and the other three land planets, The Jovian moons were next in line. The four Galilean moons of course being the main source of colonization, along with Planet X. Callisto, however, was being used for a bit more extreme project.

“Are we sure the Dimension Tide’s really ready to go here?”

“Yep! It’s charging right now, just give it a few more minutes..”

Spoiler:
So How or why was Bagan awakened or there to begin with? Did Orochi and Ikusagami awaken him by accident? Did Bagan just show up while Orochi and Ikusagami were in the middle of their own fight?

How does Bagan even know their brothers? That part feels more like exposition for the readers, and it isn't really needed overall since those two aren't the main focus, even though it feels like we the reader are missing out on a good chunk of plot. Unless you wrote Orochi and Ikusagami vs. Bagan already.

This is suppose to take place before the main Yamato Takeru film. It was Bagan that caused Tsukoyomi to pull a Face-Heel Turn. As for the brothers thing.. yeah i'm gonna cut that out.

Everything else is explained later on through flashback sequences.

Scientific Name: Matangus. AKA: The Devil's Laughter, Matango

Deep in the heart of the pacific, Godzilla must go up against a threat greater than anything he's ever known. Trapped at the heart of Monster Island, he rallies two unlikely allies to make a final, desperate escape.

The Matango is a highly contagious and extremely dangerous fungus. Any suspected sighting must be reported immediately or a heavy fine/jail time shall be enacted for failure to comply.

In order to survive, Godzilla must battle through former allies and loved ones and abandon his home. Death has claimed Monster Island, clawing at him from every side.

Anything found to be harboring the Matango is to be put under immediate quarantine and subsequently burned. The Matango is too dangerous to be allowed anywhere near civilization.

Only Gororin and Ebirah have survived the infection intact alongside him. Godzilla must make the ultimate sacrifice to survive the living nightmare he finds himself in.

Or succumb to the Matango once and for all.

Spoiler:
Iceland, December 8th, 2020. 11:31 P.M.

Cold.

That’s the first thing it felt when it finally succeeded in piercing a crack through its shelled prison. Bitter, chilling cold seeped through the newly formed fracture, along with the first tiny ray of light the new life form had ever seen. The infant had been biding its time inside its protective shell, slowly growing and developing while curled up comfortably inside. How long, it did not know. But now it was too big to fit and had grown to the point of being physically mobile.

Its time had come.

A rustling sounded from within the elephant-sized egg, followed by another loud crack along its surface. The lifeform within struggled hard as it pushed against the outer shell, chittering pitifully as it desperately tried to enter the world for the very first time. The squeaks of the soon-to-be-born baby grew louder and louder as it continued to push and smack against the shell, crack after crack echoing through the starry night. The shell wouldn’t hold together for much longer, and the infant’s struggles became more intense. The egg continued to wobble around ever so slightly, a hole forming as an entire segment of shell fell off, and a tiny horn attached to a square-shaped snout poked out of it.

CRACK!

The hole finally burst wide open, and the entire dog-like head of the newborn life form finally thrust its way out and into the big, wide world.

The egg continued to crack apart as the four-legged body followed suit, finally splitting in half when the newborn revealed itself. Two floppy ears unfolded from the infant beast’s face, followed by its big eyes opening for the second time ever. A brown, scaly body ending in a lithe tail struggled to hold itself up on four little legs ending in bear-like clawed paws. A tiny horn protruded from its nose, amber in color and texture and occasionally seeming to glow every now and then from within. For a moment, the baby simply lay there flat on its belly, taking its first breaths as it relaxed after a stressful ordeal. Then, when it had regained enough of its strength, it reached out with a single little front paw, and pulled itself forward on its belly. Instinctively it reached out with its other paw and repeated the motion.

Slowly the newborn reptile crawled along the soft earth, testing its mobility- before abruptly stopping at the sight of land dipping into clear blue water.

The infant only now realizes it’s on an island in the middle of a vast, blue lake; silent and still, with nary a ripple in its surface. But that is not the only thought that strikes home in the hatchling’s little mind. The baby looks to its left, then to its right. Its ears picked up no sounds or vibrations from any other life forms in the area, its nose couldn’t smell any scents other than the sweet aroma of fresh cool water and the soft green grass. No matter what direction it looked in, it could see nothing but distant mountains and land on the other side of the lake.

It was then that the little reptile opened its mouth and let loose a cry, hoping to contact its parent. It was genetically hardwired in the hatchling’s instincts to know it needed a parent to nurture it, provide for it, help it survive. But its cry went unanswered. The baby cried out again, louder this time… … …and the only response it got was its own echo. Confused and afraid, the poor little kaiju screamed a third time, hoping against hope to finally get a response.

Nothing.

Its heart sinking, the infant slowly curled back up onto the ground, shivering in the chilly air. Its big eyes stared down sadly at the ground, it tucked its legs in underneath it as it lay pitifully on the edge of the little island. It knew it would have to swim across the lake at some point, to make its escape and find an area with food, but for now it didn’t have the strength. For now, the lonely animal rested its head down upon the soft earth and slowly closed its eyes, a tiny whimper escaping its throat as it waited for sleep to overcome it once again.

Lost. Afraid. And very, very alone.

30 miles underneath France, 11:40 P.M.

Many miles underground, a prehistoric behemoth began to stir from a comfortable slumber. A peculiar sound had reached his ears, which twitched slightly as his eyelids slowly lifted in awakening. The four-legged beast shifted in his underground burrow as he heard the sound again, and his eyes raised in surprise. Somewhere far away, a peculiar call beckoned. A call that sounded somewhat familiar to the ancient dinosaur. Instinctively, he understood it, recognized it, heard its meaning. Whatever it was, it called for a parent, a companion.

But most peculiarly, it sounded…young. Infantile. Maybe even newly born at that.

Stretching his legs out like a giant cat, getting the blood flowing into his system, Baragon crushed the soil underneath his claws and began to sink further into the underground void, digging his way northwest. He knew it would take him days, maybe even weeks to reach his objective, but as of now his instincts were focused solely on achieving his newfound goal. He didn’t know what he would find at the end of his journey, but somewhere deep in his gut, his instincts gave him the slightest hunch.

And so Baragon dug deeper.

Spoiler:
It started as just another streak of light in the sky. A random meteor that left a pretty display which anyone nearby looked up at in awe, then went back to whatever they were previously doing. Then it landed, probably sending some animals fleeing from the loud noise and fire. Nothing this world hadn’t seen before countless times.

Until something crawled out, a living being that hurled through the cosmos inside a rocky shell until it crashed into the pale, blue dot circling around a star.

On most worlds, it would have been a terrifying creature, a massive beast. It had spread pale, gossamer wings and clacked together myriad sharpened limbs, taking flight into the night sky.

But here on this planet, while it was bigger than most lifeforms, it was not the top of the heap by any means.

Earth bore myriad ecosystems composed of colossi that were only outsized by the mountains. Fueled by the natural radiation emanating from the world, titans were born and became parts of the cycle of life. Some flew through the heavens while others burrowed through the ground, some killed other titans to feast while others just shoveled entire forests into their maw for sustenance. Other worlds in the universe had been destabilized by the presence of one or a few such creatures, but the Earth’s many colossi managed to balance each other out just like the ecosystems of smaller animals.

So when the traveler from the stars emerged, she had soon found herself chased by myriad winged titans, who had fought in and commanded these skies for millions of years. They soon brought her down, sending the insectoid spiraling down and crashing into the earth in some remote region, leaving her alone due to the inedible nature of the alien. It would have just been another weird, inconsequential occurrence, probably something for the volcanic pteranodons and Varadagis to regale their young with through tales.

Until the world of monsters met its own monster.

The alien re-emerged, without wings but far larger. Now even the grandest titans of the world paled in comparison to the entity. She towered above them, weighed far more than even the alpha titans. The one born of another world shambled across the world, eliminating anything that drew anywhere near to her.

Clouds of death emanated from her breast, legions of her brood that could bring a titan down by latching onto them like leeches and hacking away at the flesh en masse. Bolts of hellacious plasma erupted from her horn, tearing through the thickest armor like it was wood. And numerous blades upon her body lashed out, shredding opposition and leaving them broken, blood-soaked carcasses.

The bodies of the slain were never feasted upon, the swarms instead eating the very rocks and sand they trod upon, the matriarch seemingly not even needing to eat. Upon the mountains they would cultivate, colossal, otherworldly flowers. Anything that came within miles of them was hunted down and slaughtered. After a time, the plants would detonate with a mighty blast, which would echo across the countryside as the mountain, and whatever else was in the immediate area, became a scorched crater.

Legion would just move on from there, to the next place she could begin this horrid process.

A herd of titans were gathered together, all nestled within a massive canyon that was able to accommodate their numbers. It was difficult to get in or out of the chasm, making it a very safe place for their young. The adults had little to worry about regarding the treacherous nature of the place, the males could all fly and the females could all burrow.

The MUTOs all had skin of black and grey, the only noteworthy variation in color being their red eyes. They resembled gigantic insects, bearing multiple thin legs that ended in sharp points. These were the traits that all of the parasitic colossi shared. Roughly half of them towered over the other half, being built with rippling, intimidating musculature that could easily carry their scythe-like limbs through the body of another titan. The other half, while much smaller and less bulky, had sizable wings that could allow them to soar through the air with nearly unmatched grace and agility. Females and males, respectively.

As the two types of adult MUTOs watched over the numerous smaller members of their species, younglings of various ages walking about and playing with each other, one female in particular stayed by the side, away from the rest of the pack. She was even bulkier than a typical MUTO, and armor plating coated her back. Scars were all over her form, some older than most members of this pack.

The Queen MUTO looked up to the skies, sensing what was approaching before any others did.

Two males came flying in, both badly injured and barely remaining airborne. They had the body of a titan in their clutches, a juvenile member of their rival species, but it bore injuries that the four males who had gone out that morning could not have possibly inflicted.

They landed, one falling to the ground fully and struggling to breathe. The flimsy meal flopped out of their grip, barely enough to feed themselves much less the whole pack. Panicked cries echoed throughout the canyon, only growing in fervor when the men recounted what had happened.

They had encountered the ivory nightmare on a routine hunt. Legion had killed one of them almost immediately with a glancing blow from her beam. The other, a victim of the soldier swarm.

Legion was close to their herd! They knew she could burrow, the screams of perishing titans echoing across the landscape had informed them of this much, she could get into their domain! The children would be powerless, even the adults would not fare much better. Perhaps if they all attacked at once they could win, but how much damage would she do before then, how many would die if she came across their abode?

The Queen MUTO listened to the cacophony, silent as usual. She silenced them with a shout, all eyes falling to her. She turned to the side, walking deeper into the canyon. Breathing in, the veteran of countless battles let loose a deep, rumbling call towards the very center of their domain.

She acted as the pack’s leader, but she was not their true ruler.

A mound of earth collapsed before erupting upwards in a geyser. A massive arm coated in orange, spiky armor, ending in a fist that had crushed the bones of a thousand colossi, came up, before being joined by another. They pulled up a body that made even the Queen MUTO look diminutive, coated in similar armor to the arms and bearing muscle that put even the mightiest members of the Godzilla species to shame.

MUTO Prime’s glowing eyes looked over her brood. Some of them could not help but shrink back at the gaze. She marched forward, a baritone growl emerging from her throat which asked why she had been awakened. The Queen stepped forward, replying with the information that a creature beyond any on Earth was drawing far too close to their domain for comfort.

The earthquake beetle scoffed at the idea of a being beyond any on Earth, not with her existence. But, if it had her children so terrified, than she knew it must be dealt with for their safety.

One of the younglings stepped forward, clearly terrified of the threat of Legion. They let loose a small, high-pitched call, questioning if their first progenitor could overcome this menace. MUTO Prime got closer to her spawn, letting out a much more subdued, calm growl. She would ensure they would not die by the claws of whatever aberration this was, none of the herd would have to die.

A colossal hand, one bigger than the child’s skull and that had crushed the throats of beasts that could tear down mountains, came down gently and patted them for a moment. The child’s cooing brought some warmth into the ancient behemoth’s heart, before she stepped back and looked over the pack once again.

She looked past them, seeing the two males at death’s door. It had already harmed some of them? A chirp from one of the injured revealed it had actually killed two of them.

Few sounds in creation were more dread-inducing than the rage-filled bellow that rolled out of the titan matriarch’s mouth. Death would be brutal for this interloper, an example to all the creatures of the world and beyond what happened to those that harmed her herd.

The MUTOs parted like a river to let their ruler step towards the wall of the cavern. As she passed between them, she looked to the MUTO Queen, her second in command of the pack.

They exchanged a nod, needing no words to communicate. The Queen was to watch the herd while Prime was gone, and if she perished in this battle, the rugged warrior was to take over as full-fledged leader. It was a duty the relatively smaller female accepted with little fanfare, but unending pride.

And with that, MUTO Prime departed, to face the spaceborne nightmare.

That was only the trailer, and that trailer alone was AMAZING! Count me excited as hell! :huge:

My money’s on Legion, but if there’s one thing that five years of reading the KWC has taught me is to not count your chickens before they hatch.
