Gorosaurus (Gorozaurusu, ゴロザウルス)
"Primeval Dinosaur"

Origins: Approximately 153 million years ago, during the height of the Jurassic Period, the iconic dinosaur genus Allosaurus—which already bore more than one species in different sections of the world—began to give rise to yet another species. One that would go on to dwarf even the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex in sheer size. As the Kimmeridgian stage of the Jurassic began to give way to the Tithonian, a descendant of Allosaurus jimmadseni branched off to begin evolving into a predator who's size would serve as a massive benefit when it came to competing with the many Titans that now began to roam the prehistoric world. Even more fascinating: all the way into the Cretaceous Period, certain populations of this species would survive the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event, and carry their heritage far off into the Holocene... ... ...

On July 22nd, 2025, actress-turned-castaway Ann Darrow took an out-of-village trip into the forests of Skull Island, hoping to collect her daily share of fish for the week. However, her morning peace was shattered in a way she could've never predicted; a band of MONARCH scientists whom had stumbled upon the island burst from the treeline, being pursued by the island's apex predator. An angry Tyrannosaurus Rex pursued them to an open field on the edge of one of the island's many beaches... ... ...however, even the might of the Dinosaur King would be no match for what was about to show itself to the world. A sudden burst of dirt and earth columned upward, and a powerful roar the likes of which had never been heard before echoed forth as a colossal thing emerged. A dinosaur that dwarfed the Meat Eater in size now towered mightily in the morning sunlight, a member of the species Allosaurus Magnospondylus that survived into the present day: Gorosaurus. As the humans fled, the two dinosaurs dueled ferociously—which ended in less than thirty-five seconds when Gorosaurus threw the T-rex across the field and killed her by snapping her neck.

While the humans relocated at the Iwi village where Ann and her adopted daughter Jia called home, Gorosaurus would proceed to throw the ecosystems of Skull Island into a panicking chaos. The grouchy Allosaurus proceeded to menace all of the land's prehistoric creatures; Brontosaurus, Triceratops, Skullcrawlers, even the mighty Meat Eaters that once reigned as the top predators weren't safe from his wrath. At one point, even the aquatic crocodilian known as the "Sirenjaw" tried her luck—only to suffer terribly for her efforts. It wasn't until King Kong finally noticed just how unstable the ecosystem had become thanks to Gorosaurus, that he finally challenged the carnosaur to a duel. Their battle was long and bloody, an terrifyingly, Gorosaurus held the upper hand for most of the battle. At first, it seemed as though the island would have a new king—but Kong was relentless, and would not give up until he saw to it that calm was restored to Skull Island. By seemingly the narrowest of margins, Kong finally triumphed over the savage Allosaur and cast his prone body into a fissure, defeated at last... ... ...but he was not dead.

A month and a half later, Gorosaurus would reappear to Skull Island again, ambushing Ann and Jia as they stopped by the riverside to collect a supply of large mussels. However, the dinosaur paid no mind to the massive gray rock that protruded just above the water's surface as he advanced upon the humans—which would prove to be a big mistake when the rock suddenly sprouted tentacles and attacked him.

Just kidding, IT WAS A SKREEONKING OCTOPUS.

Entangling the massive theropod in his lengthy limbs, Oodako the Giant Octopus engaged Gorosaurus in battle; on land Gorosaurus might have had a chance, but in the water even he was no match for Oodako who beat his idiot behind into submission and bit him with his venomous beak. Just barely managing to avoid getting outright killed by the angry cephalopod, Gorosaurus limped away, and despite the sickness he was soon afflicted with, he would hang on and eventually make a full recovery.

Design: Gorosaurus resembles what would happen if Allosaurus and Giganotosaurus interbred to produce a hybrid species. A massive cerulean-blue theropod dinosaur with bright-red throat scales and black tiger stripes lining his upper body, Gorosaurus walks on two lithe, yet muscular legs tipped with dangerously curved claws that he can easily use as weapons in combat. A long tail swings behind him—but strangely, Gorosaurus often walks upright with his tail dragging on the ground, like an outdated reconstruction of theropod dinosaurs in the past. However, when attacking or stalking prey, he can easily switch to a more traditional horizontal stance. His head is very carcharodontosaurid in appearance, but possesses triangular hornlets above his eyes much like other species of Allosaurus. Knife-like teeth line his jaws, with two slightly larger "canines" dominating his upper jaw just below his nasal passage; these teeth are breakable, but they can easily be replaced in less than two weeks. Lastly, a small array of spine-like quills line his neck, back and tail.

It should be noted that Gorosaurus bears a rather striking resemblance to Eogodzillasaurus serpenops, a.k.a. Godzilla Terrestris. Some scientists believe this is a result of convergent evolution; others believe that Allosaurus Magnospondylus evolved this way as a means to effectively compete with Godzilla Terrestris. A few paleontologists proposed that somewhere down the evolutionary line, the enlarged descendants of Allosaurus jimmadseni may have interbred with Godzilla Terrestris to produce this species.

Personality: Like Baragon, Gorosaurus is simply a territorial animal who is trying to survive in a world where it is survival of the fittest—however, unlike Baragon who is extremely ravenous to the point of being considered a man-eater, Gorosaurus has his own personality aspect that makes him an equally dangerous menace to unlucky human spectators. Gorosaurus isn't just aggressive, he is incredibly bad-tempered to the point he will take his anger out on even smaller creatures such as humans who pose no real threat to him. When the giant Allosaurus finds new land to establish as his territory, he will defend it violently, facing off against creatures great and small alike. And when he gets hungry, Gorosaurus will go after anything large enough to fill his great stomach, and like any predator once he has fed he will not hunt—and the great theropod can go several months without food once sated.

Height: 119 meters (392.7 feet)
Length: 286 meters (943.8 feet)
Weight: 77,000 metric tons (84,854 short tons)

Powers/weapons:

Unhinging jaw: Like a typical Allosaurus, Gorosaurus can unhinge his lower jaw like a snake and slam his upper jaw down upon an enemy like an axe, piercing his teeth into the body while also allowing him to bite at a wider radius, ripping and slashing hideous wounds and shedding massive amounts of blood from the victim.

Resilience and durability: Despite seemingly having no armor, Gorosaurus is an impressively resilient Kaiju, able to withstand wounds that would send most recoiling in pain and keep fighting on with the ferocity of a mongoose. Even against the most crippling injuries and the deadliest of toxins, Gorosaurus is near-impossible to take down; Kong defeated Gorosaurus by breaking his jaw and beating him into submission before throwing him down a fissure, and still the dinosaur went on to recover from his wounds and live another day.

Kangaroo Kick: When faced in battle, Gorosaurus often takes his foes by surprise with his most devastating form of attack: by leaning back on his tail and lashing out with both legs, kicking the opponent with a force strong enough to knock Godzilla back a full 100 meters and send smaller Kaiju flying. This attack should be avoided at all costs, for it is strong enough to shatter ribs and splinter diamond.

Burrowing ability: Whether or not this is an ability typical of his species or one he simply developed on his own, Gorosaurus is a decent burrower who can claw his way through dirt and rock alike if he wishes to traverse to a different location or escape a subterranean prison of any kind.

Decent swimmer: Gorosaurus is a decent swimmer at worst, and can traverse the world's oceans from one continent to the other by undulating his tail like a crocodile and paddling with both his legs and arms alike. However, he is not the most effective fighter in the water—especially against enemies born in it, such as The Giant Octopus who manhandled him with spectacular ease.

Bagorah

Height: 100 meters
Wingspan: 400 meters
Weight: 95,000 tons

Origins
Every action sends small vibrations throughout the universe, immensely minimal to the point where they might as well not exist. A cataclysmic event on a single world will be completely unnoticed by the rest of the universe. Except for a few beings, that is, and unfortunately for so many, one of these beings is not an ambivalent bystander.

Bagorah, the Korghan Beast, the Crimson Death, He Who Ruptures Ears And Minds, Feaster of Ecosystems, no matter what title a world grants him, he is a focal point of scorn and fear. A creature whose origins are shrouded in mystery, Bagorah is a ravenous beast who travels from world to world and gorges himself with a rabid glee. Able to “hear” other kaiju from light-years away, Bagorah will travel to worlds with them and set about doing one of two things. If there are only a few, he will simply kill and devour them, then feast on smaller creatures on the planet by the thousands before leaving. However, if it is a world brimming with kaiju, he will fight a few and get a feeling of the biology of that world. Then, he will begin to sing a shrill and hideous song as he soars overhead, sending out vibrations that travel across the world, igniting a maddened frenzy in most who hear them. Bagorah will then take advantage of the resulting orgy of violence, like a looter and murderer in the midst of a natural disaster, feeding and killing to his heart’s content.

The Vortaak did not conquer and subjugate him to get the beast on their side. Reverent of him for causing cataclysms across the universe, they struck a bargain with him, granting him the opportunity to eat all that he could want without even needing to find suitable worlds on his own. He accepted, likely intending to eventually backstab them and feed upon as many of them as he could at some point down the line.

On Earth, Bagorah soon tuned in to the biology of the local lifeforms, beginning the song to incite chaos as the Vortaak unleashed their firepower upon humanity. Upon the pale blue dot, the bat-like beast was in a blood-soaked heaven. It was the most kaiju he had ever seen on a planet, so many grand tastes to savor! However, with that came more kaiju that could resist his song than usual. Bagorah’s song could not affect those linked to spirits, those with strong wills, and those with high intellects.

Rodan engaged the crimson creature in the skies, a fast paced battle that the two were dead even in. The Vortaak assisted their ally, pelting Rodan with laser fire that soon allowed Bagorah to drive his foe out of the sky, only for Rodan to grasp him and drag them both tumbling down towards the pteranodon’s allies. Godzilla and Anguirus assaulted Bagorah and mutilated him, even his greatest attacks being resisted as his mouth was burned shut by Godzilla’s atomic ray. He managed to flee, trying to get help of his own from the Vortaak.

He discovered the mothership above a colossal, glowing crater. Strange energy radiated up, drawing the Korghan Beast to descend towards it, transfixed. A colossal arm of molten rock ripped upwards, grasping Bagorah’s throat and breaking it with ease. A second emerged, pulling the bat’s head off like removing a bottle cap, and signaling the beginning of the Vortaak invasion’s final stage…

Physical Description
Red scales coated a semi-mammalian body, resembling a bat. Bagorah was an obese creature, bloated and grotesque to the point where his scales did not quite connect to each other like they should, revealing the pale, pink skin beneath. His gut sagged from all the food he feasted upon, too much for even his high metabolism and active lifestyle to completely burn away. His legs and winged arms were bulky, from a combination of fat and muscle accumulated from having to support his body. A thin tail dangled behind him, a barbed whip.

Emerald eyes were some of the most advanced in the universe, but they pales in comparison to the giant pairs of ears on his head, two pairs. The four external organs allowed Bagorah to detect anything he needs to. A hideous maw filled with needle-like teeth possessed a green duo of tongues, leading to a throat with incredibly precise and powerful sound-generating organs inside.

Personality
Bagorah was the personification of gluttony, both physically and metaphorically. Everything he did was to serve himself, feeding on flesh and relishing in the chaos he caused were what filled him with life.

Powers
Flight: Bagorah, despite his physique, could fly at up to Mach 4, displaying a surprising agility.

Sonic Scream: The carnivorous space-traveler could release a loud, shrill yell that was capable of shredding a skyscraper apart.

Attuning Calls: Bagorah could adjust the frequency of his vocalizations to fulfill different purposes. Through the usage of his advanced ears, he could figure out the resonance frequency to shatter solid objects, disorientate foes, and even ignite a reaction of insanity in the brains of primitive beings that can’t resist such things.

Sonic Beams: Bagorah’s vocal organs were fine-tuned enough to focus a call into a thin stream, containing far more power to be capable of punching holes in solid steel.

Supreme Shriek: By filling his lungs with air, to the point of almost bursting, Bagorah could release a colossal wall of noise in a shrill roar that could reduce a city to powder. Godzilla was able to walk through this attack to clamp Bagorah’s jaws shut, but by the time he had reached him, large portions of the leviathan’s skin were gone.

Perfect Ears: The devourer’s four ears could be attuned with a perfect finesse, allowing him to be able to hear anything necessary for a situation without being overwhelmed. At their maximum strength, they could hear the vibrations sent through the universe by the actions of kaiju while Bagorah was in the vacuum of space.

Space Travel: While tuned in to the vibrations of the universe from kaiju’s actions, Bagorah was capable of then riding these vibrations back to their source, moving light-years in a matter of days through a process that bended space-time due to exploiting the ripples these make in the continuum.

Very cool, like the colors and how you managed to balance “real dinosaur” with “kaiju” well enough instead of leaning too far into the former. Badass take on Gorosaurus.

And an equally scary and awesome portrayal of Bagorah from you as well!

And that ending? I sense a certain hell demon coming… … …

Thank ya both. Though Shin, wrong guy made of molten rock ;)

Obsidius

Height: 400 meters (when standing fully upright, Obsidius mostly slouched or otherwise moved in a low stance)
Weight: 600,000 tons

Origins
When SpaceGodzilla entered Critical Mass, his body heat melted a crater into the ground where he stood. What none saw was pieces of his flesh and shattered shards of crystal sinking into the softened earth whenever he was struck, far too busy being focused on the nightmare before them that threatened the safety of the very planet. Though he was eventually defeated, the crater was left unattended, filled with too much radiation for anything short of a kaiju to enter without dying swiftly. That area of New York City, where the final battle of the Crystal Incursion had occurred, was quarantined with not a single soul allowed to enter.

Several years later, when the Vortaak descended from the stars, they were drawn to the high energy signatures of this indent in the earth. Their advanced scanners were able to pierce through the hellacious radiation still lingering on the surface, any attempts by Earthen civilization to scan the area being met with failure due to this, and view an entity deep beneath the soil. It was slowly but surely leeching thermal energy from the planet, growing in size. The aliens knew not of the history of this site, nor did they realize the Crystal Scourge even existed, but that did not deter the Vortaak from tampering with this sinister process going on beneath detection. The Mothership, a colossal vessel that bore an entire metropolis within its walls, powered up its main weapon high in the skies. A colossal laser cannon, capable of wiping an entire city off the map with one firing, fell upon the earth. The crater grew tremendously in size, earthquakes rocking the surrounding areas. By the time the strike faded, Manhattan was replaced with a hole the same size, shining like a miniature sun.

A process that would have taken centuries was completed in less than a minute.

Obsidius emerged, a living mountain of molten rock. Its first action was to break the neck and tear off the head of Bagorah, who had arrived seeking aid from his allies, then devour the body. The energy of the bat was added to the raging furnace of its gut, further fueling the burning mountain. The Vortaak attempted to communicate with the new lifeform, but it did not reply, only attempting to bring down their fleet. Quickly realizing that they would not be able to defeat this beast, their smaller lasers accomplishing nothing and the main cannon being unused due to fear of it being absorbed, the aliens led their creation to where they wanted it to be.

The resulting battle between Obsidius and Godzilla, Rodan, Anguirus, Mothra, King Kong, Megalon, Manda, Mechagodzilla, and the Gotengo (any other kaiju that would have aided them were busy dealing with still rampaging kaiju and other Vortaak forces elsewhere on the planet) was a brutal and arduous effort. The defenders of Earth could barely harm the colossus, and its own attacks nearly slew them in return. As well, with any energy it absorbed from them, it grew only stronger, the minute damage dealt to it being healed. The gods of Mu were put particularly close to death due to the fervor with which they fought, seeing Obsidius as a corruption of the sacred lifeblood of Earth. It was only when the molten colossus attempted to devour Godzilla that the tide was able to turn, a nuclear pulse breaking its jaws and allowing the Gotengo to land a shot of its Absolute Zero Cannon before shutting down. The crippled Obsidius brought the Vortaak mothership down with a desperate attack in order to feed on its energy, only to be halted by Godzilla and King Kong joining forces to rip out the living mountain’s exposed core, putting an end to the legacies of Krystalak and the Vortaak permanently.

Physical Description
A body forged of molten rock and black crystals towered mightily, resembling a warped and deformed version of Godzilla in build. Veins of red and orange ran all across its body and down its limbs. Four hulking arms erupted from its torso, two on each side, ending in massive, four-fingered hands bearing sickle claws. The palms of these hands bore glowing holes. A set of colossal legs supported Obsidius’ bulk, elephantine pillars with huge claws protruding from them.

Down its back ran a single row of obsidian spines resembling Godzilla’s, flanked on both sides by protruding craters filled with molten rock. The spines ran all the way down the tail, which ended in a gigantic rock with spikes of uneven length all across it.

A crocodilian head rested atop the colossus, black as the night with crystals protruding jaggedly and lopsidedly from the back of the skull. The lengthy jaws would open wide, unveiling the blazing, orange furnace like the heart of a star that waited within. There were no eyes or nostrils, Obsidius being able to detect objects by their energy.

Personality
The cleverness, narcissism, and cruelty of Krystalak/SpaceGodzilla were gone. All that remained was the desire to consume energy and grow in power. It would have used this gained power simply to absorb more and more, no end goal ever bubbling up in its one-dimensional mind.

Powers
Aside from its sheer size and strength, Obsidius displayed several deadly powers in its short lifespan.

Molten Geyser: From its maw, the burning mountain could unleash a gigantic stream of irradiated, energized lava shining a bright red. Even the hardiest of Earth’s defenders were gravely wounded by this assault, nearly being drowned in a substance that burned far hotter than the Earth’s core.

Hell Mortar: A cannonball-like projectile fired from Obsidius’ mouth, the yellow orb detonated with the force to incinerate a city block. Despite its simplistic mind, the colossus was capable of accurately hitting a target dozens of miles away with a shot of this attack.

Crushing Avalanche: Obsidius was capable of curling its hulking body into a rough sphere, which could then roll forward at a surprising speed. Nothing was capable of standing in its way, even Godzilla failing to stop it and being crushed beneath the attack.

Hell Rain: The craters upon the living mountain’s back could discharge burning boulders, forged of crystal and stone, with the force to send them hundreds of meters into the sky before they came crashing back down. They would detonate upon impact, due to the energy of the crystals within.

Ebon Lasers: The obsidian spines upon the molten giant’s back could release black lasers after it had absorbed enough energy from its foes. Their exact power is unknown, however, they were capable of tearing through the Vortaak mothership with no resistance despite it being forged of alien metals that withstood the Hell Mortar with little damage.

Energy Absorption: Obsidius could absorb energy through its palms and through its teeth, adding to the already immense power brewing in its body. As well, energy attacks that struck its palms, spines, or entered its mouth were nullified and converted into energy for itself to utilize.

Burrowing Ability: Obsidius was capable of burrowing, treating solid rock like sand as he tore through the soil.

Aight, out of character real quick. Only real trivia I got is that the back craters spewing rocks is a reference to Dire Miralis from MH (turns out, MH is a great source of inspiration for kaiju, who’d a thunk). This is going to be the end of the miniseries of alien pawns, and I’ll be returning to more down-to-Earth kaiju for a good bit. Originally there was going to be one more monster in this miniseries before I returned to the earthly kaiju, but that one will come later down the line for a number of reasons which will be apparent when the last of the alien invaders (who y’all can probably be able to figure out through process of elimination) and their bioweapon does arrive.

I have no idea why I didn’t think of Obsidius beforehand—and that’s a good thing. Because this terrifyingly BOSS interpretation of Obsidius surprised me in the best way possible.

This was awesome to read. And the back lasers… … …

Desghidorah

Height: 175 Meters
Weight: 100,000 Tons
Wingspan: 200 Meters

Origins: As the Vortaak perfected the clone of Gojira, they managed to experiment on other life forms. Taking a small amoeba born from the fires of their homeworld and exposed to the cells of the golden demise and their apex juggernaut, Obsidius.

The small cell began to grow at a rapid rate, forming a new body and unlike their “Space Godzilla”, this being had no drawbacks in the process. Reaching full strength in an instant.

As the Vortaak deployed Space Godzilla among their other two weapons, Desghidorah was sent in to aid his brethren. Aiming to destroy all life across the planet and soon after the rest of the universe.

Psychical Description: Black armor as dark as the void covers the silver scales of all three heads, protecting the hydra from the flesh being slashed away. The beast has no eyes where a normal creature would have them, instead relying on his other senses to find opponents. Instead of twin long horns pointing upwards on each head lays where the eyes would be. Spike erupts past the armor on the head, pointing backward. His jaws split open to a maw with no tongue, going down to a red tunnel of demise. Muscular wings ending with two hands flex as they charge forward, the hands having three digits with silver colorization. Four muscular legs carry the beast forward, armor covering each limb to protect the flesh. Four silver talons erupting from his feet being able to cut into the flesh of even the strongest armor. One longtail covered in armor drags behind the monster’s form, the end of the limb splitting into three tentacles, suction cups on the underside of the limbs while black barbs erupt from the flesh on the top side of the armor.

Personality: Desghidorah only wishes for death on a planetary scale, a result of the constant experimentation done to him and the sources of his DNA. The hydra of darkness wishing to watch as those to protect life die with the hope draining from their eyes, this often leaves him open as he likes to torture his victims. If Desghidorah had the chance, he would not hesitate to turn against his masters.

Powers:
Lava Gout Gravity Beams: The hydra of darkness can unleash a stream of Gravity Beams from his three maws, each beam surrounded by magma. When the beams strike, electricity surges through the victim as magma burns through the skin before reaching bones and organs. A single blast of this attack will reduce most Kaiju to a corpse.

Flight: By using his wings, Desghidorah can take to the skies, reaching speeds of Mach 8 just like the dreaded king of terror.

Heat Sense: Desghidorah can sense the unique bioenergy of heat. If they absorb more, the destroyer will become stronger than ever. His body glowing red with rage and heat as steam rises into the sky from the large mass before releasing in many attacks. This being said, Desghidorah will need to recharge by absorbing more heat.

Life Force Absorption: The alien clone can devour the life force of a planet, absorbing the planet’s bioenergy and reducing it to a husk. A barren wasteland that cannot support life, lucky this never occurred on Earth.

Regeneration:
By absorbing heat and magma, Desghidorah can heal from any wound. Even regenerating from nothing more than ahead.

Death Spark: Mimicking King Ghidorah’s “Thunder Spark”, Desghidorah can unleash a volley of electricity through the act of biting. The attack also burns the wound as fire is added to the attack.

Magma Injection: Using the barbs across his tail, Desghidorah can send hot magma through the victim’s body. Burning them from the inside with the heat of the planet’s core.

Space Travel: Unlike his “father”, all the hydra of death requires to take to space is opening his crimson wings and taking flight. Though he can travel the stars, he would need to feast on magma or a planet’s life force eventually.

Storm of Death: By simply being in an area, a storm of pollution is unleashed from the cracks in Desghidorah’s armor. Choking the life of nearby inhabitants.

Flames of Demise: The chest on Desghidorah opens up, revealing a gateway of fire. The hydra will unleash a beam of pure flame at an opponent, burning their skin and melting away steel.

Burrowing: The hydra can dig into the Earth, traveling by making tunnels before bursting from the ground. Though it is rare for Desghidorah to use this ability.

Burning Earth: Desghidorah can split apart the land with ease, revealing molten magma in the abyss. Dooming opponents to death of burning agony.

Skullcrawler (スカル・クローラー)
"Ravenous Predator"

Origins and Ecology: A species of phytosaur descended from remnants of the group that survived the Triassic Period and extended all the way down into the Paleogene, Cranium Reptant, or "Skullcrawlers" as a certain Hank Marlow referred to them as, were believed to have evolved on Skull Island sometime during the Early Eocene, where they would take on the role as one of the ecosystem's secondary predators while Tyrannosaurus Rex remained as the apex predator; the wolves to the T. Rex's bear, if you will. They are sometimes solitary but often very tolerant of other members of their species, and are commonly seen congregating together in large groups to either hunt or simply bask about like crocodiles or Komodo Dragons. The species is sexually dimorphic, with females being 17% larger than males on averages and possessing colors of bright red and yellow on their heads and shoulders; in a manner similar to birds of prey and mugger crocodiles, mated pairs are monogamous and often pair up in autumn. The young, called "pups", are born live and in litters up to a maximum of seven individuals; they are initially born so hungry that they are in a constant state of near-starvation for the first two and a-half months of their lives, so they must be fed by their parents on a regular basis—otherwise they will venture out of their burrow and seek out prey themselves. And it is this that can easily be a dangerous mistake, as this can lead them to attack larger and more ferocious creatures than themselves on sight such as a Tyrannosaurus Rex, which can result in a quick demise. At three months into their lives, however, their near-starvation metabolism slows way down and they become less dangerous to other creatures around them, such as human beings; for at this point in their lives, once they are fed they will not try to hunt and can go a few days if not a full week before wishing to hunt again. At this stage in life, the pups become very playful and are often seen "play-fighting" with each other and their parents both as a means of physical exercise, establishing their social bonds, and practicing their skills of survival which will surely aid them in a difficult world. If the parents ever need to traverse to a new territory, then they will both perch each half of the brood on their shoulders before walking or swimming to wherever they need to be next. If the young are big enough, however, they will simply walk or swim alongside the parents.

Skullcrawlers take approximately two and a half years to reach sexual maturity.

Skullcrawlers are adept hunters both on land and in water; on land, if hunting alone they often employ ambush tactics much like that of big cats. A Skullcrawler will often lie in wait and stalk the prey animal from a shadowed location such as the undergrowth of a forest, slowly creeping closer as quietly as possible before then leaping out once close enough; in water they hunt much more like a crocodile, slowly drifting towards unsuspecting prey with only their eyes and nostrils (which are atop their heads) above the water, until they rocket out and snag the prey once they are within reach. When in groups, Skullcrawlers often hunt like wild dogs, using coordinated teamwork to not only herd the prey to where they need it to be but also to bring it down. Cranium Reptant are also, like virtually every carnivore in existence, effective scavengers that will often pick over the corpses of animals that have already died—and in the case of predators closer to their size, they will even fight them over their kills. It is not uncommon for a group of Skullcrawlers to engage a pack of Venatosaurus over a carcass—in fact, it is this type of incident that often results in one of biggest mortality rates of young, wounded, sick or elderly Skullcrawlers.

Design: Belonging to the Order Phytosauria, Skullcrawlers are very crocodilian in appearance, with a body clad in armored scutes and golden eyes with a single black slit for a pupil. They only possess two very long, scaly arms—they have no legs to speak of, but they don't seem to need them as their long tails provide the necessary balance as well as a means of propulsion. Their tails are slightly spiny, their claws are curved and talon-like in texture and shape, and most notably of all, their crocodilian-esque heads are almost entirely composed of exposed bone which gives them their nickname. Their nostrils, unlike crocodilians, are atop their heads, and their mouths are filled almost entirely to the brim with conical teeth. Their tongues are flat and almost immobile, much like those of crocodilians.

Height: 6 meters (20 feet) newborn, 55 meters (181 feet 6 inches) full grown.
Length: 13 meters (43 feet) newborn, 120 meters (396 feet) full grown.
Weight: 40 metric tons (44.1 short tons) newborn, 31,000 metric tons (34,162 short tons) full grown.

Powers/weapons:

Prehensile tail: The Skullcrawlers' tails aren't just long and fringed with armor, they're also very prehensile and can grasp objects and opponents alike with ease. Larger individuals can even use this tactic to grab and throw adversaries with their tails.

Adept Swimmer: Skullcrawlers are equal parts effective water predators as they are terrestrial—and the same rings true for their combat skills. Undulating their tails like an alligator, an adult Skullcrawler can swim at a top speed of 40 knots (roughly 43 miles per hour). They are surprisingly adapted to salt water, but they far prefer to stick to fresh water most of the time.

Burrowers: Skullcrawlers are decent diggers at worst, and can dig a burrow for themselves in less than half an hour.

Plague of Madness: During the 1970's, this fascinating species suffered a huge drawback from a particular disease of unknown origin. Referred to as the "Plague of Madness", this hideous virus entered their populations seemingly out of nowhere—and the results were nothing short of devastating. One particular individual, a large male named "Ramarak" by the local Iwi tribes, suffered terribly at the hands of this plague along with his litter of offspring, which consisted of three stages; first, the Skullcrawler becomes incredibly thirsty and will drink water profusely. Next, the animal's hunger levels skyrocket to the point where the creature becomes—much like in the stages of its early youth—in a constant state of painful starvation. And finally, this gives rise to the third stage in which the Skullcrawler goes completely berserk, attacking just about anything big or small it sees. Only after King Kong killed Ramarak and his infected offspring was the virus seemingly ended—however, no one knows the plague's origin, and its entirely possible that its source still exists and may one day begin the entire destructive cycle anew, whatever it may be... ... ...

A fun take on the MV’s contribution to Kong’s rogues gallery, love how much attention to detail was put into their life-cycle and behavior.

The following is an excerpt by a MONARCH biologist who prefers to remain anonymous. Warning: this scientist, who's name we will not mention out of respect, just really loves octopuses.

Oodako the Giant Octopus (Ōdako, 大(おお)ダコ)
"Mammoth Cephalopod"

Origins: It should come as no surprise that while the animals of land are beautiful to behold, it is the water where you are far more likely to find something that either makes you question existence or bulge your eyes out of your sockets; for it is, to the brim, stock-full of billions of God's weirdest typos. And if the outside world's oceans, lakes and rivers possess such mind-blowing weirdness, then it should come as zero surprise that Skull Island, "The Land where God did not finish creation", puts the skreeonk in WHAT THE SKREEONK IS THAT when it comes to the multitudes of The Lord's bastards whom He refused to pay child support for, that call the water their home. But spectacularly, the rivers and estuaries of this primal island are the kingdom grounds of not some abominable accidental byproduct of God's drunken prom date with Cthulhu, but in fact one of the coolest Kaiju of all time and by far the most interesting and amazing animal on Skull Island.

A giant octopus.

Oodako, as he is named by the local peoples, is a male member of a giant species of the Hapalochlaena genus (Blue Ringed Octopuses) that theoretically grew to gigantic sizes due to something MONARCH scientist J. Roberts calls "superthermal gigantism", a thesis believed to be the source of the gigantism of all of Skull Island's creatures—which is rather ironic considering that Blue Ringed Octopuses are some of the smallest of their kind. It is without question that Oodako is the undisputed king of all bodies of water in and around Skull Island, and like all octopuses in their field he absolutely earns that reputation both in looks and power. Everything from Skullcrawlers, Tyrannosaurs, and Venatosaurs are weary when coming to the water, for they know that the lordly cephalopod that dwells beneath is not to be messed with. However, the natives of the island do not fear Oodako—in fact, he is quite revered and looked upon as a symbol for bountiful fishing. According to Ann Darrow, when the fishermen and women go onto the rivers to hunt for their annual catches, they do so entirely without fear. And when she asked one particular fisherwoman why, the woman gave her the only appropriate response befitting such a spectacular cephalopod:

"Because Oodako will always be there to protect me."

That's it. That's the proof right there that the world needs to be exposed to: octopuses are just plain cool. And the fact that there is a place in the world where this fact is so recognized to the point that a giant octopus is revered and worshipped like a god-king, is enough of an utter miracle that I can gladly say that no matter how and when I die, I will die happy.

Design: Scientifically designated under the species Hapalochlaena leviapus, Oodako is exactly what the above category just spent four whole paragraphs describing what he is: a giant octopus. While his "default" color scheme is a beautiful hybrid mix of gold and dark brown with small blue spots all across his body (which he can flare into blue rings), Oodako, like literally any octopus, can change both the color and texture of his body as well whenever he needs to. His tentacles are rather long and thin, but he can clump them so tightly together that he can effectively mimic the shape of a cuttlefish.

Personality: Oodako is a benign and peaceful creature who never attacks human beings unless attacked first—and whomever does so has to be the biggest idiot on the planet because there should be only two ways to greet this cephalopod: calling him Oodako or calling him "King", both followed by bowing submissively before his majestic magnificence.

Like all octopuses, Oodako is absurdly intelligent to the point of possibly being the smartest Kaiju on record, on par with if not surpassing King Kong and Godzilla himself. He can solve several complex problems, set multiple effective traps, switch between many different combat tactics to outsmart his enemies, and on several occasions even use tools, both for hunting and for combat; he once even grabbed a rock spire from the shoreline of a river and used it to smack Gorosaurus across the face multiple times like a baseball bat. What's even more impressive is that not only does Oodako seem to recognize human beings whom he's seen before in the past, but he also has been determined to hold a very unexpected bias. According to an IQ test done by MONARCH anthropologist Maia Simmons, The Giant Octopus views fondly the natives of the island whom he lives alongside—while MONARCH scientists and other outsiders, on the other hand (or tentacle), he views as complete idiots. One particular incident involved Oodako stalking a camp of scientists from the beaches of Skull Island and luring them away from their site via releasing a Gallimimus to run across their view and into the forests as bait—then, when they had given pursuit of the animal, he entered the camp, destroyed their tents and equipment, buried the evidence in sand and made his way back to the water before they returned.

Truly a skreeonking legend.

For reasons still unknown, Oodako is particularly fond of slapping Tyrannosaurus Rexes in the face with his tentacles, much to the equal parts shock and amusement of onlookers lucky enough to witness such a spectacle. It is not uncommon for a Meat Eater to come to drink by the riverside, then spotting a lengthy object moving in the water and moving forward to investigate—only for a massive tentacle to lunge out and slap the dinosaur across the face and send it into a full-on retreat.

Height: 88 meters (290.4 feet).
Full Length: 228 meters (752.4 feet).
Weight: 80,000 metric tons (88,160 short tons).

Powers/weapons:

Tentacles: Oodako's tentacles are equal parts tools of the hunt, weapons of war and genuine thumb-shamers. Packed with hundreds of suction cups capable of both tasting and gripping, the octopus' tentacles can easily restrain Kaiju as large as Gorosaurus in a very short span of time. Oodako's tentacles are also extremely prehensile and he will use that to maximum effect; the mammoth cephalopod can not only grip just about anything, but use anything in range as a weapon or tool to his benefit. He can throw objects at enemies from a distance, uproot trees and smash them against potential adversaries or even use sharp rocks to shank his opponents like knives. Using his tentacles, Oodako was able to constrict and beat Gorosaurus senseless in less than a minute.

Color change: Whether to ambush prey or surprise attackers, Oodako can alter both the color and texture of his skin at will to camouflage himself to the point hwere he is all but invisible until it is far too late. One moment he's one color, the next he's seemingly not even there, and the moment after that he's swimming or walking about in a completely new color and texture. Take that spiny, rugged rock that Gorosaurus walked by as he attempted to take his morning anger out on Ann and Jia—except SURPISE, IT'S A SKREEONKING OCTOPUS!

Blue Rings of Warning: Being an octopus of the Hapalochlaena genus, Oodako, when feeling threatened, will change the chromatophores in the blue "spots" across his body to flare them to life in their true form: as beautiful blue "rings" that warn opponents that he is venomous and thus not to be messed with. Those who ignore this warning often pay the ultimate penalty.

Venomous beak: Like all blue-ringed octopuses, Oodako's beak is laden with lethal toxins that can kill even the likes of Skull Island's Tyrannosaurs and Brontosaurs with a single bite. Even Godzilla will become painfully ill and potentially fall unconscious if bitten by this majestic mollusk. Gorosaurus was bitten twice by these savage jaws and sent packing because of it—however, even though he endured the full furious effects of the horrible venom for several days, he clung relentlessly to life and eventually recovered.

Ink spray: As a last ditch effort to repel attackers, Oodako can spray a large cloud of black ink from his underside that smells just like him, which can easily trick predatory opponents. Furthermore, Oodako can also heat the ink in his body before releasing it, resulting in it actually boiling his opponents when released upon them.

Water and land: Despite being an animal born of the water (and capable of swimming at average speeds up to 48 knots), Oodako can also traverse to land if he needs to—and can actually move and fight quite well when doing so. So if you make the mistake of making this cephalopod angry at you, just know that you are not safe from his wrath even if you try to run... ... ...

Animated severed tissue: If Oodako's tentacles are amputated or ripped off in any way, amazingly they will behave as if they were still attached to the body and continue to hold onto or even attack the adversary.

Regeneration: While not possessing a healing factor on par with the likes of Godzilla, Oodako can still heal severed tentacles and severe injuries in a matter of mere days.

If it fits, I squeeze: Just like virtually all octopuses, Oodako can weave his tentacles about and squeeze his entire body into crevices that his gigantic physique shouldn't be able to fit within, but can anyways. Just another example of how skreeonking brilliant octopuses are.

Varan

Height: 90 meters (when upright)
Weight: 50,000 tons

Origins
The Varadaki have existed for eons, alongside other prehistoric kaiju. A species of triphibian reptiles, they occupied their own niche in the food chain in the time of the dinosaurs, high but not at the top. When the Cretaceous period ended, they were forced to hide in the mountains not occupied by Rodans and in the depths of the underground tunnel systems stretching across the planet. There they have lived since then, only resurfacing in the modern era due to other kaiju activity.

Among them an individual stands out, though the individual changes often. The Yamato Guardian of Air, Varan.

The grand spirits like those that possess Godzilla and Kong or that make up Mothra and Battra are not the only spirits inhabiting the world. Lesser specters drift unseen by mortal eyes, entities that have not coalesced the power of those like the Destroyer or the Warrior. These spirits often seek power, subtly trying to manipulate events to benefit themselves. Some will even attempt grandiose power plays, driven by jealousy of the mightier entities. However, three of these such spirits were kind and gentle, lacking jealousy and only seeking power to ensure less-noble others could not. These beings were granted a boon due to their gentleness by Mothra and her followers.

Through powerful ritual, the holy residents of Infant Island changed them into the Yamato Guardians. Bound to the elements of Air, Earth, and Water, the trio became far more powerful than their contemporaries. Though still lacking the Earth-shattering power of the greatest spirits, they could still rise and defend the world when needed.

When a Yamato Guardian’s body is vanquished, the soul will search for a new host of the same species as the last, transmogrifying them into the new host. Hence why there have been hundreds of Varans since the ritual to create them.

Physical Description
An unaltered Varadaki is a reptilian creature, resembling a monitor lizard with an ape’s physical build. Their scales are greenish-brown. A single line of large spines run down their backs, going all the way down to the end of the tail. The front of their mouths possess sharp teeth, while duller teeth in the backs of their maws allow them to crush sturdier food. The most noteworthy feature of a Varadaki is the large wings that can unfurl from their arms, with yellow membranes. These lack the ability to grant them outright flight, but are still large and durable enough to let them glide through the air even without heavy winds.

Varan does not change in build, only being distinguished visually from the normal members of their species by coloration. Their scales are now a bright white, like snow. The membranes of their wings and the spines upon their back are now a light green. Finally, Varan’s eyes shine purple.

Personality
Varadaki are simply animals, they follow instinct. Omnivorous creatures, they will eat just about anything they can get their mouth around, much like a Tiger Shark. When not hungry, Varadaki are usually relaxed around other lifeforms, only attacking when provoked.

Varan is a fair bit more intelligent than unaltered members of their species. They will spend most of their time gliding through the air, not a care in the world, until they detect a hostile creature or a threat to the environment. Of the Yamato Guardians, they are the swiftest to anger, often being the first to arrive and begin conflict with a perceived threat.

Like the other Yamato Guardians, Varan attempts to protect innocent bystanders, often throwing themselves into harm's way to save them.

Powers
Varadki have no outstanding powers aside from their gliding and the ability to breathe underwater. As the Yamato Guardian of Air, Varan possesses multiple powers.

Cyclone Breath: The mountain god can exhale a cyclone from their maw, which races forth and ensnares a foe in its turbulent, twirling winds.

Slashing Winds: With a powerful beat of their wings, Varan can send forth focused blades forged of wind, so potent as to cut into flesh and draw large amounts of blood.

Wind Manipulation: Due to their powers over the air, the Yamato Guardian can alter the wind and air around them. Powerful gale-force winds billow at their command, lifting them up into the air on their wings and letting them practically fly. Other flying monsters will be forced out of the air by the shifting air, shoving them down while stealing the wind from beneath their wings. Varan will also often manipulate the air to make it difficult for a foe to breathe, weakening them.

Supernatural Senses: As a spirit-possessed monster, Varan is preternaturally capable of sensing things. The five primary senses are greatly enhanced, while senses beyond those are unlocked, including the ability to sense danger and threats from miles away.

Powerful Soul: When their body is destroyed in battle, the Air Spirit can still aid in the current fight before seeking a new host. It can either restrain a foe by locking them in winds that eclipse a Category 5 tornado in power, or enter the body of an ally to grant them its power until the danger is passed. When the foe is defeated, the spirit will exit and go seek a new Varadaki.

Transformations
All three Yamato Guardians have a powerful soul, allowing them to empower each other in battle.

Earth Spirit
When the Earth Spirit’s vessel is destroyed and the entity enters Varan to empower them, earthen armor will coat Varan’s body as a red glow emanates from them.

Terra Shrapnel: By channeling their power into the earth beneath them, Varan will cause winds to burst out from the ground, lifting massive chunks of stone and earth to be used as projectiles and leaving craters for foes to stumble over.

Spirit Furnace: The air surrounding Varan will grow immensely hot, visually warping and filling with a crimson glow as stone-melting temperatures arise.

Water Spirit
When the Water Spirit’s vessel is destroyed and the entity enters Varan to empower them, armor of coral and barnacles shrouds their body as a blue glow surrounds them.

Mystic Waters: Varan gains the ability to supernaturally generate water, combining it with their wind to create typhoons and storms on the spot.

Spirit Freezer: The air surrounding Varan will grow immensely cold, filling with a blue glow as temperatures drop low enough to form crystals in the air.

All Three Combined
When both of the other Yamato Guardians join with Varan, the two armors will combine to cover their body as the shining light shifts depending on what powers are being used. In this state, Varan has all previous powers.

Divine Tornado: Red and blue light will shine brilliantly from Varan as the three elements combine, the earth beneath the threat’s feet splitting open as insane winds billow. A colossal tornado filled with water and earth will swallow the enemy, battering them viciously as they are tossed about, the winds strong enough to lift even a creature of Godzilla’s size.

Everything about this was both badass and creative. A perfect blend of Yamato Guardian and prehistoric beast, resulting in a very unique take on the Great Mountain God!

Ghidorah (a.k.a. The Xisf Meanace, The Three-Headed Devil, The Perfect One, The Lords of Destruction)

Pure Energy Form: “I beheld Satan as Lightening fall from Heaven.” A swirling orb of pure energy, a herald to the Xillien, who told of it being a gift from the gods.
For millennia, it sat , until the Xillien returned in 2047 with a message that Godzilla could potentially destroy the world, being shown a desolate future.

The Three-Headed Devil: in a bid to save the earth, GDNA was introduced to the ball, a promise of a perfect weapon. However, a lie, the GDNA helped reform the monster into Ghidorah, a golden, Tri-Headed beast who, according to alien lore, was an overthrower dog for the Xillien.
After the Great Xillien War, the inability to kill Ghidorah, along with the Xillien unable to “burn” the GDNA within it as an effort to restore Ghidorah to the orb, the creature further evolved..,

King Ghidorah: larger and far fiercer than the previous state, this form was able to eradicate the majority of Monsterland, including severely damaging the Jaga, a large mech. The Resistance forces, made up of surviving ADF members and Xillien turncoats, lead an all-out attack with the help of Godzilla, who had consumed much of the radiation from his fallen comrades. This attack, lead by Captain Ogata, only proved to barely scrape the beast, which ignited further evolution..,

Kaiser Ghidorah: the black-and-golden horror of another world, loomed over the desolation. The ruler of the wasteland, a final-battle tactic lead by Captain Douglas Gordon in 2204, in an effort to save the world, with the help of Xillien-based time travel and protection thereof, utilized Godzilla’s Arc to jump back.
In the world-ending explosion caused by Godzilla, Gordon was able to successfully, yet damagingly, go back to 2047 and forewarn, stop, and eradicate both Ghidorah and Xillien from history.

Abilities
Gravity Beam: utilizing Godzilla’s atomic blast properties created a terraforming beam that could reverse and amplify all caught in the beam.

Advanced Healing: Godzilla’s regenerative abilities were amplified within Ghidorah, allowing him to quickly recover and strengthen from previous attacks.

Weakness
Evolution: Godzilla’s regeneration came at a price, which caused the beast to evolve out of control, becoming an enormous atrocity of his creators. Being as large as quickly as he was, took great tolls on him, and being unable to escape Godzilla’s arc, was burned out quickly and eradicated due to the enormous size.
Rest in Peace Victoria

Behemoth (Behimosu, ベヒモス)
“The Roaring Mastodon”

Origins: These creatures originated from a species of Mammut that crossed from North America into South America via a land bridge that formed approximately 3 million years ago, and subsequently grew over thousands of years into gigantic sizes. While they originally were discovered on multiple cave paintings dating anywhere between 30,000 and 9,700 years ago, the first Behemoth officially appeared to humanity on May 31, 2019, forced out of a massive cave system underneath Rio de Jenairo via the radiation from a nuclear strike against the Kaiju Dagahra. Scarred and sickly by the radiation and frightened and enraged by the new species that had taken over his new habitat, Behemoth went on a violent rampage that cut a massive swath of destruction through the once-great city. Eventually the huge proboscidean converged upon Vitoria Brazil, meeting with Scylla I, Methuselah I, Amhuluk and Tiamat I. They were all about to battle for territory, however before they could do so, they were attacked and killed by a much more powerful newcomer: the giant spider, Kumonga, who made a meal of their corpses which kept him fed for a year and a half.

The sight of another, Behemoth II, was beheld by the eyes of humanity in April 6, 2020, when the new creature emerged from New Mexico and trudged along the Santa Fe border, thankfully moving past the city as he was seemingly too far away to pay it any true notice. This Behemoth, however, would still pay the death penalty like his predecessor when he was chased upstate by Baragon I, who cornered and wrestled him into Pagosa Springs Colorado and subsequently killed him.

Three more Behemoths appeared to humanity, a matriarch and her two sisters, a few years later—and they too were doomed. They made the terrible mistake of picking a fight with Godzilla himself, who killed them in a fit of rage.

Since then, five more Behemoths have appeared to humanity, most of them originating from different sections of South America—and many of them having bad run-ins with other Kaiju.

Design: Closely resembling Mammut Americanum in physical design, a Behemoth’s bodily stance holds somewhat upwards like the pose of a silverback gorilla, with their forelimbs being a great deal longer than their hind limbs—despite this, however, their feet are still identical in design and function to those of modern-day elephants. Gigantic tusks stretch from between a lengthy trunk; most individuals have a layer of thin brown hair, however Behemoth I was entirely hairless and his skin composed of sickening radiation scarring.

Personality: Behemoths, despite being large herbivores, are incredibly dangerous and nowhere remotely close to gentle. They are easily spooked by humans being too close, and can go on destructive rampages simply due to being in such close proximity with them. They behave the same way towards a majority of other Kaiju, though more than once certain monsters such as Baragon and Rodan have terrified them enough to flee.

Height: 108 meters (356.4 feet).
Weight: 80,000 metric tons (88,160 short tons)

Powers/weapons:

None: Aside from their tusks, feet and trunks typical of proboscideans, Behemoths possess no weapons or powers notable for a Kaiju.

Zilla

Appearance: Basically 1:1 Zilla but with the tail and arms of the Winston design. Normally the base green gray of Zilla but can become more vibrant variations such as red or black.

Powers: Can run/swim at 300/200 mph, has an incredibly strong wind like breath that can be set alight to create a powerful fire stream by Zilla or an outside source, chameleon like color changing (both for camouflage and emoting), adept burrower, asexual reproduction, startlingly intelligent.

History: 1998. The City That Never Sleeps is thrown into chaos when something comes ashore and begins to tear through the city. Not wanting to look inefficient, the US government sent out the LARGEST mobilized force they had done in years, all set on taking down whatever attacked the city.

A motion that would quickly become a meme as the army destroyed a large portion of the city as they tried to catch this outsmarting lizard.

This only became more of a joke after it came out that many assumed they were fighting Godzilla due to a misread report, despite the creature's many differences. Eventually though, "Zilla" as she was named was cornered and killed on the Brooklyn Bridge, thanks to the efforts of cryptobiologist Nick Tatopoulos and a group consisting of his reporter girlfriend, her cameraman and French agent Phillipe Roache (who had gained the beast's ire by destroying her nest and offspring). This was not the end of the story however.

Eventually, NIck, now part of the quickly formed mutant branch of Monarch H.E.A.T, discovered a surviving infant. Feeling bad for the creature, he adopted it and began to raise it with his team. The creature quickly grew and began to protect it's team, being studied and soon being able to be summoned as H.E.A.T dealt with many other mutants (something the US military reluctantly agreed with due to Zilla's sterility and New York's state government defending the beast for the sheer revenue from merchandising the lizard). Nick and Zilla, along with Elsie Chapman, Monique (a new French agent), Dr. Mendel Craven, and Randy Hernandez soon set in the routine of fighting kaiju (which can be discussed further later)....

Until Nick noticed something odd.

Jirass

Appearance: This redesign

Abilities: Can spit a glue like venom web, adept swimmer, constricting tail

History: Japan, 2000. H.E.A.T was summoned to investigate disappearances in provinces around Tokyo, believed to be a mutant taking advantage of the disrepair from Ghidorah's rising a year earlier to hunt refugees. With the reluctant aid of the Lizard Slayers (a group of crappy mecha made by the US to try and shove out Zilla), H.E.A.T discovered the cobra like predator. Jirass proved to be a deadly foe, especially with his glue and the Lizard Slayer's attempting to one up Zilla letting it get the best of them. The monster was eventually taking down by Zilla and a sniper shot of tranquillizer (thanks to Monique). Jirass was moved to the newly set up Monster Island by the US near Puerto Rico. However, Nick was troubled. Jirass was remarkably similar to Zilla. Perhaps this suggested a new trend in mutant evolution? To more dangerous forms?

Ogra and "Gorgo"

Appearance: Same body plan but thinner with a alligator like head and longer Godzilla like osteoderms

Abilities: Adept swimmer, incredibly tough armor, can spew a heated stream of sea water.

History: UK, 2001. H.E.A.T, investigating the Loch Ness Monster due to a drunken bet Randy made at the Monarch Christmas partyrecent reports, when they find out someone apparently found the monster. Local Dorkin's Circus proudly shows off "Gorgo, the terror of the world!" around the world, eventually taking him to UK. A concerned H.E.A.T follows, not only because of the clearly upset kaiju but Zilla being strangely attracted to the infant. Eventually, reports of lost ships in the North Sea and loss of contact with Nara Island causes H.E.A.T to push the issue and force Dorkin to reveal the truth: They actually found the monster swimming in the North Sea and captured it.

Quickly realizing what's going on, H.E.A.T collabs with the UK goverment to prepare for Ogra, Gorgo's mother (it should be noted at this point, H.E.A.T had also discovered the baby was a female and Randy insisted on calling the creature "Lizze/Elizabeth"). Thankfully, despite some destruction and the death of Dorkin for trying to steal Lizzie, both monsters were reunited and went home safely, though Nick was still confused by Zilla's care for the infant.

Yongary and Pulgasari

Appearance: Classic retro Ceratosaurus with stegosaur plates and a thagomizer, Pulgasari has larger plates and horns (more Carnotaurus-y)

Abilities: Thagomizer, can increase internal body temperature to a "flaming" fighting form, can shoot fireballs, heated horns can impale foes.

History: 2002, Korea. H.E.A.T is summoned to deal with TWO monsters: Pulgasari, a mutant coopted by North Korea and Yongary, one terrorizing South Korea. Namely, they end up having to deal with both as Pulgasari breaks out of his control and threatens to destroy BOTH countries. Eventually, Zilla succeeds in beating both by destroying the cliff they were fighting on, causing them to fall into the depths of the sea where their heated bodies boiled them both alive.

However, Nick noticed something very wrong. Monique disappeared and was later found by Nick carrying the information North Korea had compiled on Pulgasari. An angry Nick fought with her on why, something she would not reveal even once they got home to America. Nick's attempts to confront her would unknowingly be answered in a month.....

Varan

Appearance: A Mosasaurus like body (Dallasaurus is a good look because it still has the claws) with a moniter lizard face and the classic spikes and webbing.

Abilites: Can glide with wings, can spew a freezing ice like fog that can freeze certain items, said fog is ignitable which can cause massive explosions (usually used to wound foes/give Varan more lift), incredibly versatile and agile.

History: New York.

The city is on edge it seems to Nick. People are worried as Godzilla has become increasingly agitated, attacking ships in the Atlantic, causing the US to reluctantly plan to engage the King of the Monsters. Furthermore, Corporal Hicks, H.E.A.T's superior, has left them be, distracted with a project he only calls Leviathan. This on top of the argument over Korea has the team on edge.

Of course, this is when a kaiju appears.

Varan, a beast that had been spotted on and off in Russia, suddenly appears in New York's bay, arriving ashore and rampaging though the city. Zilla quickly arrived and began to fight Varan, a very difficult battle that took them through the city. Eventually, the two of them ended up face to face, both tired.

And before the shocked world, began to nuzzle each other.

Zilla and Varan disappeared, causing the city to explode into outcry. Where was their savior? Were these two related? Wasn't Zilla sterile? (on that last point, no, turns out Craven had only focused on ASEXUAL reproduction). Nick in particular, was incredibly confused on how it seemed there was yet another kaiju that Zilla had a strange attraction to, but he was too busy trying to stop the New York government from siccing the remaining Lizard Slayers on the mated mutant lizards when another shocking bit of news hits: a unknown kaiju just attacked Monster Land. The kaiju escape distracts the world, especially when a horrifying image is revealed by Audrey: Jirass, bitten in half.

It's about then Nick and the team get kidnapped.

After being blindfolded and loaded into a plane, they eventually wake to find a somber Monique, a angry Phillipe, and the woods of upstate New York....as well as a captured Zilla and Varan.

Phillipe finally reveals it all to Nick: Zilla, Varan, Pulgasari, Yongary, Jirass, Ogra and her daughter aren't natural mutants. In the early 90s, Phillipe was stationed on a multi national board collaborating to make a controllable kaiju bioweapon. Each of these monsters were a result of those experiments, tailor made for roles: A fast and agile one that could avoid enemy lines and overwhelm them with young, a nimble anti-air species, one's that could punch though any competition, a living tank, one that could hold up soldiers for slaughter, and all able to interbreed and trained to imprint on human handlers, and with one final key: Godzilla DNA, stolen by Phillipe from Bio-Major. The experiments became too dangerous though and it was scrapped. Phillipe was ordered to cover it up but after the original Zilla escaped from French Polynesia, he settled with having Monique (who was actually his daughter) follow H.E.A.T, destroy evidence, and catalog them.

However, he now finds the thing blown to hell by Zilla and Varan and is worried he'll have to kill them. He brought Nick here to attempt to find a way to hide the monsters warns them they have to hurry.

Project: Leviathan has awakened.

"Orga"/Rozan

Appearance:

Millenian: a crystalized version of the octopus form

Form 1: A Kamata Kun esque form with thicc flipper like arms and a massive frog like mouth, crystals on it's back.

Form 2: leaner version of Form 1, crystals breaking out of body (basically Spacegodzilla mixed with Shinagawa Kun)

Form 3: A massive version of Orga with Shin features (long tail with second face, keloid scars, split jaw) and crystals over his body.

Abilties: Psychic connection to ship, can spew Corona Plasma Beams from any orifice (either a normal one like a mouth, a newly formed one or even a wound), extreme regeneration, can animate servered tissue to fight (like Terrestries's blood tentacles), massive hands, incredible leaper, can steal DNA and energy from foes, constantly evolving, sinisterly intelligent.

HIstory: Meanwhile, in New York City, SOMETHING oozes ashore. A massive monster, it begins to rampage though the city, ignoring bullets, tanks, jets and even Lizard Slayers. Things only worsen when the beast digs into the NAtional History Museum where the 1998 Zilla's preserved corpse is on display and eats it, evolving into a much more dangerous form that torches the city. Upstate, Phillipe explains that the US government found some sort of UFO in the Mariana Trench and testing it woke up something inside. It had been rampaging for months now, having already eaten Pulgasari and Yongary's remains and slain Ogra (Lizzie's whereabouts would be unknown until 2018) before raiding Monster Land for Jirass. Based on this, the creature is clearly going for Godzilla DNA and so Phillipe needs Zilla and Varan either dead or disappeared before it's too late. He has coopted an old Monarch Hollow Earth facility and tells Nick to get Zilla in, hoping Varan will follow.

However, Nick is horrified and tells Phillipe that they need to stop this new "Organism", despite his claims that the government can handle it. After the French agent tries to forcibly arrest Nick so his taskforce can get the Lizard Slayers to kill the two, they are stopped by two things.

Monique betraying him for her friends and freeing them....and the facility exploding with a ear piercing SKREEEEEEEEEEONK.

Godzilla, having traveled though the Hollow Earth has arrived. He destroys most of Phillipe's forces and unintentionally fatally wounding the man himself before clashing with Zilla and Varan. The Monster King proves triumphant though and leaves the wounded monsters behind to head to New York. Admitting he was wrong, Phillipe calls a copter to get them to New York before Godzilla does, while Nick is able to convince Zilla to follow. Arriving in the flaming city (now burning and covered with strange crystal moss plants from Orga), Zilla and Varan confront the envious alien. H.E.A.T meets up with Hicks who explains the UFO Orga came with is stored in Empire State ("look, the only place we thought people wouldn't look was in plain site") and they're trying to get to it but a strange energy wave from the plants is shutting everything down.

"No. It's the ship"

Making their way on foot, H.E.A.T eventually enters and finds a strange manifestation of the alien there who greets them, naming itself Rozan of the Millenians. It explains that it is the mind of the creature outside, projecting itself for them. It was never a brute, it was intelligent, having gotten into their systems and discovered all about the mighty Godzilla and it's unintentional spawn. Soon, it will be whole though the Godzilla's DNA, be it Godzilla or the two "lizards" fighting it and then takes all of H.E.A.T out with it's mind before setting it's sights on something else: the newly arrived Godzilla, who it had been driving mad and luring to New York all along.

The battle soon goes insane, as Godzilla begins to join the fight against Rozan, now mutating into a massive form large enough to eat all 3. The Earth monsters are falling though, due to Godzilla being too crazed from the signal and the injuries of the clones. However, the day ends up being saved by none other then Craven, who had implanted a virus Randy made earlier in his phone, which the Millenian ends up accidentally scanning after he tricks it (mentally thinking of a secret on the phone so the cocky alien would scan it). The cowardly doctor ends up saving them all, staying behind to implant the code as the rest escape, just as the UFO explodes. Similarly, Varan sacrifices himself by taking the brunt of a group of spine lasers Rozan shoots out from a Godzilla wound. However, finally free, Godzilla can now face Rozan fully, and eventually kills the beast with the aid of Zilla (as the American kaiju blasts a jet of breath into the monster's mouth that her Japanese counterpart ignites with his atomic breath, creating a MASSIVE explosion). The day won, Godzilla leaves but not before acknowledging his last relative. Zilla, meanwhile, locks eyes with Nick before descending into the Earth.

H.E.A.T eventually disbanded as Monique became a whistleblower for the whole conspiracy. Nick for his part, took a job on the Calico Patrol in the Hollow Earth, content to just study worms, accepting he'd never see her again.

That was until, 2021.

All of H.E.A.T received an email. Byline: Zuki.

It consisted of footage of a lizard like creature in the Hollow Earth. It has gliding membranes but bright colors that turn duller depending where it lands. It eventually locks eyes with the camera and squeals a familiar roar before flying off, into the unknown....

As of now, there is a motion in Monarch to restart the H.E.A.T team.
