Archosaur, a 2019 HBO Max series. While not considered to be a good show, it was called by many to be if Terra Nova was actually good, and many palaeo-fans loved it for its accurate depiction of dinosaurs and being rather nuanced, not being monsters out to eat the humans, but simple animals who's peaceful existence has been disturbed by intruders from another world, such as a family of T. rexes led by a female matriarch nicknamed Mary.

Island of Katies

Katie leads a sweet life as the daughter of a very wealthy man. She gets everything she wants, and makes sure she gets it by being a pain to those under her. Her father hires a woman to work as a maid, and when Katie complains that the new maid ignores her demands, the maid tells Katie that karma will come back to her. Katie doesn't believe her.

Katie has a dream about being in a shipwreck, and then wakes up on an island. The terrified girl finds she's not alone when she encounters 4 others other exactly like her. Their complaining and arrogance quickly annoy Katie, but then a threat comes ashore. Slavers come the island, and the 5 brats are forced to work together to avoid being dragged off in chains. Three of them get caught. Katie and her clone find a cave that offers hope of returning home, but they need five hand prints to open the door. Katie and her clone must put their pride and selfishness aside if they're to free the others and get home.

Feathery Nights

The humans and the ornoids had been living in harmony, sharing cultures and technologies. Such a peaceful and loving first contact, for both species. All goes wrong when ornoid named Part’ridge Pear-Tree discovers how humans treat trees at Christmas. The ornoids are appalled, and incite an armed pushback against the humans. A war breaks out between the two, and it engulfs the holiday season. Part’ridge, initially siding with the zealous birds, sees the peaceful side of the decorations, and wishes an end to the conflict.

Will the war be over for the two species to celebrate Christmas? Spoiler, yes they do and they have a nice dinner with… turkey! Sequelbait.

Death Among Us

Matt and Sara Talbot flee their home when a mob arrives and sets fire to it. Sometime later, the couple are traveling the plains, and they meet a group of Native American hunters. Impressed by Matt's tracking skill, and seeing as how he hates white men, the hunters offer them shelter among their tribe. They get along well with the natives, but a shaman can tell there's more to them than they're willing to discuss.

A situation soon occurs when a white rancher harasses the tribe over land. That night, the rancher is killed by some kind of animal. The rancher's son, James, blames the tribe, and the army arrives to tell the tribe to leave the particular piece of land. Coln. Kerring thinks he recognizes Matt, but Matt says they've never met. The tribe refuses to leave, and the army gives them a deadline or else they will have to use force. Coln. Kerring is nearly attacked by wolves soon after, and though he fires and hits one wolf, it seems unhurt. James then tries to drive the natives away by setting a fire near their camp. A native girl is killed.

Coln. Kerring is not pleased with James's action, but the two men and the ranch hands find themselves in a battle with seemingly unkillable wolves that trap them inside the house. As they fight, Coln. Kerring remembers where he met Matt. There had been livestock deaths in another town where he'd been stationed 4 months ago, and like now, it was reported that they were being killed by invincible wolves. Outsiders Matt and Sara had been blamed and were supposedly killed. The wolves take more lives, but then Coln. Kerring kills one with a silver letter opener. The animal turns into Matt.

Sara flees back to the tribe, but now knowing what she is, they send her away. Sara walks off into the night. She places a hand on her belly, telling her unborn child that they will survive.

The Giant Claw (2024), a remake of the original infamous classic of the same name, features a mysterious flying object sighted above the Canadian skies. Several airliners and jets go missing over the weeks, before it is discovered the culprit is a giant flying turkey. Scientists are baffled as to how and why such a creature so large is suddenly in existence, but attempts are made to capture the creature for study. All attempts fail and those involved are killed off. Eventually it is revealed that the giant turkey is the result of radiation from a nuclear power plant leaking off into a nearby turkey farm over the years, resulting in a monstrous giant turkey. Scientists also are able to realize that the turkey is drawn to the dead remains of its own kind, and that all the jets and airliners destroyed are those which feature turkey based meals. With this information, they are able to determine that the creature is making a beeline toward the highest concentration of dead/cooked turkeys in the world: New York City, as Thanksgiving is just around the corner. It is a race against time to stop the giant turkey before it gobbles up the eastern seaboard...

Fate/Grand Order, a live-action film adaptation of the successful mobile game, particularly its Cosmos in the Lostbelt story arc, directed by Paul W. S. Anderson. Despite Anderson's assurances that he was always a major fan of Fate, the words rang hollow as Anderson went on to mess up major important details of the story. Critics would rip the film to shreds, taking note of how absolutely rushed & disjointed the film was.

The built-in fanbase would boycott the film the moment it was announced that Milla Jovovich was cast in the film as the lead, a wholly original character not found in the source material, with further frustration being made vocal on Twitter with the casting of Chris Pratt in the role of Archer.

The Day the Lawn Died
An art house sci fi horror film starring Sofia Boutella as an independent journalist coming to metaphorical blows with the US government about the spontaneous evolution of a super poisonous species of flowers that look beautiful with translucent purple petals and blue stems whose thorn's secretions can kill even an elephant in a scratch. While it fairly easy to avoid getting scratched for some reason almost everyone in the town has a single scratch on their forearm with the words "I'M SORRY GAIA" written nearby either on a paper, painted on a wall, or arranged with rocks. Intersped with footage of a family filming their last summer together before the daughter goes off to college with strange artifacting showing scratchers being able to go on for a few hours while confronting something only they should be able to see. All this with a Lt Col James Holdfield trying to maintain a perimeter to prevent the flower from spreading and keep people from stealing the thorns. As Sophia finds out about a hallucinogenic effect the scratchers experience when they face their final moments she ruminates on not only her life but that of man and their life on planet Earth, the nature of immunology, and balance.

Roll of the Dice

A game within a game in which people play characters whose fates are changed by magic dice. These dice can alter fate in good or tragic ways, leading to love, death, gaining beauty and power, etc. However, each use of these dice further tears reality, and you must choose whether to try and stop people from destroying reality or stopping those trying to save reality. The game's concept was praised by reviewers, but the complicated metaphysics used to explain the science of reality and alternate dimensions was thought confusing by players.

The Lovers

Long ago, the Fukuda and Izaki clans went to war over valuable land. In the process, most of it was ravaged. The witch, Moami, is angry and curses the family, with the provision that love can one day save them. Misfortune follows the families over time, each one blaming the other as the cause.

Finally, Maki Fukuda and Katsura Izaki meet, and they know they're in love. However, they learn that the other comes from their hated rivals. Despite the fact that they are forbidden to marry, they seek a way to do so. Moami pays them a visit and tells them the history of their families. She feels that they will never get along and has arranged a spell that will destroy them both. The lovers plead for their families, and Moami agrees to relent if they can get them to come together peacefully.

The patriarchs of the families receive a message from Moami saying that she has taken their youngest and has made them her slaves. The two families send their best warriors to save Maki and Katsura and end up facing supernatural threats that force them to fight together. The reluctant allies begin to find a trust and commonality between them, and when Maki "escapes", he leads them, as friends, to the witch. Meanwhile, Moami instructs Katsura in the magic arts. In the end, the lovers reveal that they were in no danger, and that by working together the warriors have saved themselves. The new understanding between families is sealed by the marriage of their children.

The Horizon

Fred and Bob have faithfully held their post at the bridge for years, but they often wonder what lies beyond the horizon. Fred has the idea that the sun, which they see set behind the horizon, must live or have a home beyond what they can see. Bob and Fred decide to find out and cross the bridge. They find woods and a town with eternal spring but confuse people with their lies and truth. As they enjoy this time off, tragedy strikes the town. The eternal light that keeps winter away goes out. Winter encroaches on the town, and only a piece of sun can relight the light. Fred and Bob, along with Maura and Frank, go to find the sun's resting place. However, the Ice Prince seeks to stop them. Luckily for Maura and Frank, Fred and Bob confuse enemies with their lies/truth telling, and the bridge guards find out there's much more to life than they ever dreamed or feared. Fred and Bob are forced to go on their own after Maura and Frank are caught and find the house of the sun. They use a piece of the sun to defeat the Ice Prince and return warmth to the town. Fred and Bob then hear about something called the ocean and become curious.

The Yin and Yang is a Fantastic Noir novel. The world is one where after the Great War, the two beings named Ava and Zyxz (pronouced Shicks), made of living radiation and electricity and are in a kind of Yin and Yang duality, battle for supremacy and worshippers, with humans following suit. In Kansas City, police detective Joaquin Parsons is assigned to monitor two congregations of them. It was praised for its unique dieselpunk setting, where society, tech, and fashion hasn't so much been frozen in the era as gone in a different direction.

Dark Island

In a world where men and women are at literal war, two naval units engage in battle. During the battle, some of the soldiers begin to go mad, and the battle turns into a blood bath. Ships are destroyed and leaves only two survivors. One is Daniel, a captain, and the other is Natasha, an admiral. These foes try to kill each other on the beach, but their fight is interrupted by a loud roar and a huge beast charging at them. They attack, but are forced to retreat. Natasha tries to take charge, but Daniel refuses to take orders from a woman.

They separate, but find themselves competing for the same water and food sources. Each blames the other gender for the experimental drug that wiped out half of humankind. Their fighting only draws the beast to stalk or attack them, until they find an old temple. As both are injured, the use the old temple as shelter, but living together isn't easy. As they continue to have tension, the beast seems to get bigger. They explore the temple and find reliefs showing a great war occurring on the island, and some kind of frightful face. They remember a door with the face look into the chamber. They see a black stone. That night they have nightmares that exploit their fears. Natasha becomes frantic, and Daniel tries to calm her. When her cries draw the beast, he does something to shut her up- He kisses her. Natasha gets quiet, but threatens to kill him for the violation. The beast disappears.

As they search for food, Natasha and Daniel fight, and the beast, along with frightening voices, attack them. They each become scared, but then Natasha tries what Daniel did. The kiss leads to another, and then to an afternoon of passion. The pair realize that the forbidden act actually saved their lives. They even admit to enjoying it. At the temple, they discover the black stone has gotten smaller. Daniel tries something, he yells at Natasha, and the stone surges with energy and grows. He thinks that this stone feeds on hate and fear, and this is what caused the madness that destroyed their units and drives the beast that hunts them. They decide to destroy the stone and set explosives in the temple. As they flee, the beast attacks again. The beast nearly kills Natasha, but Daniel saves her at the cost of his hand. Natasha deals a lethal injury to the beast, and then the temple blows. The beast vanishes. The pair now build a raft and leave, holding hands.
