How did the man ruin lives ? The only people who seemed to hate were those in the media who lost the stranglehold on the public's hearts and minds. The left wing media. CBS. NBC. ABC. And CNN whose viewersship is a trapped audience in an airport. He poked holes in thier skewed view on the U.S. ,and those that lived in it. And attempts to get him off the air by the Left and Democrats all crashed and burned. From lefty radio hosts like Mario Cuomo of the Cuomo Crime Family. Jim Hightower. And even convicted child porn collector Bernie Ward. Likewise America bashing Air America barely lasted three years back in the 2Ks with Al"Sexual Harassment Poster Boy, Franken, and Janine Garroffalo. He had his problems with drug addiction, and overcame. Limbaugh saved A.M. radio persuing a course that those who thought they knew better. And succeeding with flying colors. The Left's anwers to countering his ,and those who succeeded in turn is have the people they now have in charge change the rules. And shut them down in what comes across as the definition of a sore loser.

I will not celebrate anyone's death - but he was an awful person who made the nation and the world a worse place for his having been here, and the only tragedy of his passing is it didn't happen much earlier before he caused the untold damage that he did.
I unapologetically, wholeheartedly, and without a doubt hate Godzilla vs Kong.

On the last page I told everyone that he is responsible for turning my grandma into a paranoid lunatic. Around 2009 she started spouting all sorts of crap about death panels, and other crazy conspiracies. She repeatedly called my father, telling him that she thought Obama and the dems were going to send her to a death panel. Later down the line she started talking about the Obama birtherism. We directly know that it's because of him because she would always say,"Well, Mr. Limbaugh says....".Pundits like him instill unnecessary fear in older people. My grandmother went from a sweet old lady into an absolute nutter.

Remember when Rush would play celebratory music when giving news updates about the homeless? Or would play "I'll Never Love This Way Again" while reading the names of people who died from AIDS/HIV?

Swell guy. Guess his "Smoking doesn't cause cancer" spiel aged like fine wine in the end.

Reminder of where he stood and the messages he shared throughout his life.

**Rush on nicotine:**

>"There is no conclusive proof that nicotine's addictive... And the same thing with cigarettes causing emphysema, lung cancer, heart disease."

**Rush on the genocide of American Indians:**

>"Columbus saved the Indians from themselves."

**Rush on Michael J. Fox having parkinsons disease:**

>"He is exaggerating the effects of the disease. He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely an act... This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting."

**Rush on African Americans voting:**

>"\[African Americans\] are twelve percent of the population. Who the hell cares?"

**Rush on the NFL:**

>"Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it."

**Rush on global warming:**

>"If you believe in God, then intellectually you cannot believe in man-made global warming."

**Rush on global warming 2:**

>"Global warming relies on the theory that we are destroying ecosystems. There is no evidence that we could destroy ecosystems."

**Rush on global warming 3:**

>"For years I've pointed out that global warming is bogus."

**Rush on feeding poor children in public school:**

>"If you feed them, if you feed the children, three square meals a day during the school year, how can you expect them to feed themselves in the summer? Wanton little waifs and serfs dependent on the state. Pure and simple."

**Rush on a 13 year old girl:**

>"Socks is the White House cat. But did you know there is also a White House dog?" (Rush Limbaugh, while holding up a photograph of 13 year old Chelsea Clinton)

**Rush on exercise:**

>"Exercise freaks...are the ones putting stress on the healthcare system."

**Rush on feminism:**

>"Feminism has led women astray. I love the women's movement - especially when walking behind it."

**Rush on LGBT:**

>"When a gay person turns his back on you, it is anything but an insult; it's an invitation."

**Rush on people in the military who didn't support the Iraq war:**

>"The phony soldiers."

**Rush on women:**

>"Women still live longer than men because their lives are easier."

**Rush on women protesting sexual harassment:**

>"They're out there protesting what they actually wish would happen to them sometimes."

**Rush on the homeless population:**

>"Isn't that how the homeless become homeless? They used to be institutionalized and a bunch of liberals came along and said 'They have rights! You can't keep them there'?"

**Rush on heterosexuality:**

>"Heterosexuality may be 95.98 percent of the population. \[Heterosexuality is\] under assault by the 2 to 5 percent that are homosexual."

**Rush on legalizing gay marriage:**

>"I simply asked you to think what was your first reaction when you heard first about gay marriage? And I said you're probably having the same reaction here. And gay marriage is now standard, normal operating procedure. \[Pedophilia\] could be, too."

**Rush on what criminals look like:**

>"Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?"

**Rush on Sandra Fluke who testified that women should have access to affordable contraceptives:**

>"It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex. What does that make us? We're the pimps."

And you think this man deserves my sympathies well I'm happy to disappoint.

The One and Only wrote: Wed Feb 17, 2021 7:40 pmHe was just a lovable fuzzball.
When hundreds of thousands of Americans were dying of AIDS, Mr. Limbaugh ran a regular segment called “AIDS updates,” in which he mocked the deaths of gay men by playing Dionne Warwick’s recording of the song “I’ll Never Love This Way Again.” He later expressed regret for the segment, but he continued to make homophobic remarks over the years; in 2020, he dismissed the presidential bid of Pete Buttigieg by claiming that Americans would be repelled by a “gay guy kissing his husband onstage.”
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/17/busi ... -dead.html
He won gleeful “dittos” from listeners who believed that American culture had become too politically correct. He spawned a mini-industry of anti-Limbaugh books and radio hosts who pronounced themselves appalled by his comedy bits, such as an “AIDS Update” that presented nasty nuggets about gay people to the strains of Dionne Warwick’s “I’ll Never Love This Way Again.” For a time, he dispatched hostile callers on his show with “caller abortions,” in which he played the sound of a vacuum pump before hanging up on the listener.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/ob ... story.html
On his radio show, news about the homeless was often preceded by the Clarence "Frogman" Henry song "Ain't Got No Home".[22] For a time, Dionne Warwick's song, "I Know I'll Never Love This Way Again" preceded reports about people with HIV/AIDS.[290] These later became "condom updates" preceded by Fifth Dimension's song, "Up, Up and Away".[22] For two weeks in 1989, on his Sacramento radio show, Limbaugh performed "caller abortions" where he would end a call suddenly to the sounds of a vacuum cleaner and a scream. He would then deny that he had "hung up" on the caller, which he had promised not to do. Limbaugh claims that he used this gag to illustrate "the tragedy of abortion" as well as to highlight the question of whether abortion constitutes murder.[291] During the Clinton administration, while taping his television program, Limbaugh referred to media coverage of Socks, the Clintons' cat. He then stated, "But did you know there is also a White House dog?" and a picture of Chelsea Clinton was shown. When questioned about it, Limbaugh claimed that it was an accident and that without his permission some technician had put up the picture of Chelsea.[292][293]

Oh yeah he sounds completely affable.

Not to dwell on this anymore, but it should also be pointed out that when the pandemic first hit the US exactly a year ago, Limbaugh deliberately made false claims about the coronavirus being "the common cold", stating it was being overblown to smear Trump. So it's certainly fair to say he may have been indirectly responsible for COVID-related deaths.

On a much sadder note, Tetsuro Sagawa, who's best known around here for playing TAC's Captain Ryu in Ultraman Ace (In addition, he also served as narrator in Taro and Leo) passed away on the 17th of ALS.

https://www.nikkansports.com/entertainm ... rc3dIgI2qQ

He was the earliest surviving captain, with Koji Moritsugu (MAC's Captain Dan Moroboshi) now claiming the spot, followed by Towards the Future's Ralph Cotterill (Arthur Grant of UMA).
