The art style of course is highly reminiscent of Batman the Animated Series (Sunrise was one of BTAS' primary animators).

For sure. And then they threw in some giant robots and monsters for good measure. They just so happen to be two of my favourite shows they've been involved in, although they've been involved in a lot.

Anyway to stay on topic I had space dandy on the other day.. and Scarlet (scarlett?) was quite "attractive." what a show. It hits some REALLY low lows and also some really high moments for me. All in all I rewatch an episode or two more often than Watanabe's Cowboy Bebop, sacrilege though that may be.

I'm not sure what the difference between a kimono and shrine maiden's outfit but those are pretty likely. Cheongsams are usually just reserved for Chinese characters, though.
