$150 for Mechagodzilla is steep but not too bad IMO. It's much bigger than an average SHMA + the diecast construction more than make up for it IMO. I think Eknight might have it at the cheapest (maybe $130-140?) so I'll probably go with them.

I think G21 with G19's head is going to be the definitive MV Godzilla figure. Looking to be an interesting combo of compatible.

I have never seen so much questioning over the MSRP whether it's legit or not. Yes, it is! Normally when I don't know the MSRP I'll provide (est.) Or (estimate). This is the real deal.

I am still waiting on confirmation if this is a web exclusive or not.

Seriously though it sucks for those that like this version, that price is far too steep considering it’s a trendy new design and with no serviceable accessories. God have mercy on your wallets.

For those who don't have the Toho effects (and they're getting harder to find at anything REMOTELY reasonable, I myself sold my red beam and base with a Comic-Con explosion Godzilla and was able to buy Biollante) there are many sellers on ebay who make Monsterarts effects. I had one done for Biollante that way, it worked fine. Some even light up, so if you need a red beam, there are still ways to do it. I am sad, though, that they didn't use this as an opportunity to make another light/sound/music one, as any obvious electronics could just be claimed to be deliberate, and no one would notice. Plus the figure itself looks like the sort of thing you'd expect to see a lot of LED's on, and it doesn't have any. Roars, music, lights on the mouth, eyes, and hands, a 'rocket blast' effect on the back like how the '89 one had the fins glow...

I do wonder whether the G19 head is nicer, but man I remember seeing various levels of googly eyes in reviews when it came out, and the teeth were a tiny paint brush of white across the lips, not dissimilar to what is used for G21's teeth (ignoring the rest of the blue mouth). So I am quite at peace with the "keep it simple" flashing blue eyes and mouth in the "poised to blast a beam" look. He looks cold and unfeeling like GMK, and I dig it.

Overpriced not so much, you're definitely getting the quality with X-Plus.
