Where was it announced that Varan won? Looking forward to the Varan figure if it's true.

Hedorah is neat but no real interest from me. The new sculpt satisfied me on Bandai Hedorahs for a while.

While the Gigan is also cool its a straight rip of a Gigabrain variant I already have.

I'll wait for Varan.

I... I can't believe Varan actually won.

Any pictures of Varan? Very shocked by the news and is a must buy like one of the Gorosaurus figures last year.

Too soon.

Anyone remember when we first saw the unpainted Gorosaurus?

Pumped about Varan. I still need to pick up a Gorosaurus too.

It’s exciting times for Bandai vinyl! Eagerly awaiting Battra and Megaguirus photos to be released.

^ I believe an unpainted Gorosaurus prototype was revealed sometime around July / August of last year, with a release date of early November.

Yes Varan is scheduled for November just like Goro was so I'd expect a similar timeline.

He’s beautiful. I’m upset that I couldn’t get him, cause he’d match my Peamge Hedorah so well.

Also nice “Fire Mothra”. That figure was always a bizarre anomaly to me.

Extraordinarily pleased to see Varan pull out the victory here, I thought for sure Super Mechagodzilla had it. Varan is one of relatively few Godzilla monsters that Bandai hasn't made a large-scale figure of in their nearly 40-year run of Godzilla toys, so I'm eager to finally, finally, finally add one to my collection. Never did get the admittedly subpar Y-MSF, which frankly I never really wanted anyway.

As far as the reveal goes, it absolutely could have been today, because Gorosaurus was apparently revealed at this same event one year ago to the day, May 22, 2021. Didn't remember it being so early. As such, even though I wasn't expecting it today anyway, I am a little surprised they didn't show a prototype Varan. Probably just a bit behind schedule.

Image

Maybe they had a Super MG all ready to go and they're now scrambling to get started on Varan.

Who else, at this point, is remaining for Bandai's? I'm not talking about random side monsters (Oodako, Meganulon, Shokirus etc...). Obviously there's still various incarnations of specific monsters that haven't gotten a release too. Monsters like Orga, Megagurius, and Titanosaurus have had releases long ago, but they still have figures if you're willing to shell out and engage in the hunt.

Off the top of my head:
Ebirah
Kumonga
Showa Manda (arguably distinct enough from other incarnations to warrant a release)
Gabara

Super MechaGodzilla (I think people wanting a figure of this is fair, if Bandai was smart they'd just release both)

I wasn't including variations of incarnations of forms, just monsters in general. And overall, bandai MMS. A bunch of those you mentioned btw have had releases over the years. Check above, and you'll see the "Fire Mothra" figure.

Zilla is a good example, but I doubt we'll ever get a figure of him.

Definitely would like 6” MMS versions of Showa Ghidorah, Mothra adult and baby, Baragon, Rodan, Ebirah, etc. Not sure how these haven’t been released yet. Not popular in Japan?
