I find it impressive how this line gets shafted in terms of finer QC, meanwhile other lines don't really have this issue. I doubt Bluefin will have extras lying around for replacements either, I got my 2019's head replaced due to bad eyes, but Kong seems to be in a lot higher of demand.

I don't think it's mold degradation. The promo shots of G21 clearly show IMO it has a narrower snout than G19, and comparing areas like the scale pattern on the front thighs and the curvature of the toenails for example show minute differences in sculpt. G19's toenails are more curved. I saw a friend's BG 2019 and you could tell especially on the arms that there was bad mold degradation. Here on G21 he's got strong looking arms, no mold degradation. I think the sculpt looks great. I'm disappointed in the bad QC on the mouth though.

Just hope they make a “regular paint” version down the line for GvK or a future MV film

Visible seam lines on this one. It’s mold Degradation for the head.

My vote is hand swap this with the 2019 version then pose this with Ghidorah and the 2019 with Kong.

When was the last release that everyone could agree was awesome? I'm on the younger side of Godzilla collectors so I'm not privy to how people felt back then. Rebirth? G19? Seems like anything past G14 had some degree of controversy.

GMK. That figure is actual perfection, just like the design of Godzilla and the movie it’s based off of

I think both Kong and Goji look good. I’ll be honest that I can’t see any differences in the sculpts below, whatever Bandai says. But I’m not bothered by it. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

Yeah looking at these two figs.... I really do not see any sculpt differences... just blue paint and new hands.

I think his chest might be a bit wider?

A guy who randomly stumbled upon this place one day, invested much too much time into it, and now appears to be stuck here for all eternity..and strangely enough, i do not regret it!

Rebirth to me is absolutely stunning. Biollante SCV does have outstanding paint apps, especially knowing how bad the QC can be nowadays. That is a reissue though. G19 I liked but missed out on MSRP. Then I waited for a spitfire version but nope wasn't gonna get that pricey set. So I pinned my hopes on G21...

Wouldn't that mean it's a different sculpt bc G19 didn't have a seam line there? I don't think even BG19 had a visible seam. Not saying it's a good thing, but that it's different 🤷🏻‍♂️

The chest and the head on g21 has minor differences. Even the hips seem different.

So is Biogoji a retool of KKK or is it an original sculpt? Admittedly something does look really off about the head of G21 even if it really is new. All this talk of degradation is getting me worried about how Biogoji will turn out, since unlike G21 the price tag is ~$84-95.

The G89 6 inch version definitely appears to be a new sculpt. I saw a post on instagram by @monsterarts_world on it comparing the two and there are clear articulation differences in the waist, neck, knees etc.

Yeah. The sculpts are similar, but look at the details. The ridges and bumps don't line up on them. G'21 *IS* a new mold.

Edit: Everything beneath the knees looks identical though. That might be shared.
