Which Company Should Make A Godzilla Fighting Game?

Post by GodzillaFreak99 »

Hmm, been quite a while since I've made a thread...damn. Anyway...

Curious, if there were ever to be a new Godzilla fighting game (hopefully) which company do you think should make one?

It will never happen, but if ArcSys got to make a flashy and crazily animated Godzilla fighter, my life would be complete.
Reignited... and hopefully less weird this time around.

I'm a guy with simple interests. Mostly revolving around monsters blowing up entire cities.

ArcSys's games always look fantastic. I could just imagine how spectacular the beam and particle effects would look.

I suppose not, although I'd want to see a new fighting game more then anything.

I would really like to see Arc Systems tackle an old-school style Godzilla arcade Beat em' up Godzilla game, they did a very awesome job with DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ, GUILTY GEAR XRD & BLAZBLUE.

Well the thing is there are a few companies I thought would make great fighting games. Then they get their hands on Godzilla over the years and disappoint. I mean Namco has made Soul Calibur and some amazing Ultraman fighting games and then they make....Godzilla PS3/4. The hell happened there? For some reason Godzilla and Gamera to a lesser extent are used for weird experimental gameplay.

I know how I would like Capcom or Arc System Works to make a Godzilla fighter but I don't know if that's what they would make if they did get hired to make a G fighter.

Definitely don't give it to EA.

I think Modern Netherrealm would be our best bet for a solid, graphically yet playably sound, game.

How about Platinum Games?

They're actually working on a sort of Ultraman inspired game right now.

It looks cool! I'll be looking forward to its release.

Astral Chain had a lot of Shin Godzilla inspiration. This makes me VERY happy.

Now that I think of it, Platinum has done a lot of licensed work, Transformers, Korra and a few others. While not amazing, they still have a lot going for them. Godzilla would work well.

Capcom, so they can make it look ugly as possible and only give out one small DLC pack for it for a thousand bucks. :P

Really, i think any company can make a good fighting game, Godzilla themed or no. They just need to hire the right folks for the job.

I think that Arc System Works should give it a shot at Godzilla. Also how would you take a Godzilla Fighting game that has a 2 on 2 tag-team mechanic?

*edit*

On a side note I'm surprised that that you people decided to make a whole new thread for this subject rather than making it a part of my thread : viewtopic.php?f=10&t=29849

...To be fair, I had no idea your thread existed.

Coming back to this thread after a while.. Netherealm? They've made pretty good games like Injustice and Mortal Kombat (bar MK11) and apparently Ed Boon is somewhat of a kaiju fan so..

The trust I put into any potential developer all goes down to how much effort they’re willing to put into film accuracy.
