Varan is long overdue for a glorious return. Make him a full-blown apocalyptic beast like in the unused 1995 script.

Shockirus. I can see a potential horror movie with these creatures as the main threat.

Shockirus in that its the only one with a mildly-interesting backstory, but at most I just feel its scene in the movie could have been executed better. I don't particularly want it to make some glorious comeback or anything.

Or someone could see that title Housetopus here and decide to make it.
As much as I want to see Oodako return, Shockirus shouldn't be ignored. Sometimes we see what happens after Godzilla's rampage, but it's almost always an afterthought or used to create drama. With the mutant lice, we could create a scenario where those trapped in wrecked areas and the people searching there face an unexpected danger. It's a perfect horror set up.

Honestly i just wanna see Oodako back just so we get a full fledge fight between him and Gezora. For whatever reason, the idea of two giant cephalopods fighting in grand looking special effects has yet to cross any movie makers mind..
A guy who randomly stumbled upon this place one day, invested much too much time into it, and now appears to be stuck here for all eternity..and strangely enough, i do not regret it!

Really not getting the appeal behind Shockirus. If you want a human sized, arthropodal threat, that’s why we have the human-sized Kamacurai.

Shockirus is so forgettable that people label G84 as a 'solo' film.

Shockirus isn't a Kaiju and I don't know why it is considered one TBH.

An animal whose size was dramatically increased by feeding on Godzilla. It's no less a kaiju than Oodako or the giant condor, which are also just large animals.

Do you by chance happen to write for the Godzilla anime trilogy?

Ooofff that bad huh .
I was going for EMO cutting edge here, or those coming of age inner dialogues, where the character is looking out the passenger window as rain falls and questioning what is life.

If you don't write poetry, you should give it a try. Your dark prose isn't bad.

Shokirus is a monster in the conventional sense at least.

Re: What minor kaiju do you think has the most potential?
I really don't understand the argument that it isn't a kaiju. Its size is evidence that it's not supposed to be a natural animal and we even have a character comment (even in the U.S. version) that that abnormal size is because of its exposure to Godzilla. Kaiju literally means strange beast -- how is it not?

Cause Kaiju is a term more reserved for giant monsters of well a much larger scale than Shokirus. It just seems too small to be considered one on its own. It's a monstrous animal no doubt but a Kaiju us stretching it for me.

Re: What minor kaiju do you think has the most potential?
Reserved by whom? It literally means "strange beast" without any qualification to size.
"Giant monsters" are "daikaiju" in Japanese usage, but "kaiju," like "monster," is pretty versatile and can describe anything monstrous regardless of size.
Edit: I should clarify that I understand that for a lot of people "kaiju" = giant monster, but that's not the default definition.
