Mainly bumping this for the influx of new members to add to, but I may as well throw my rough, approximate top five:

1. Ghidrah, the Three Headed Monster
2. Mothra vs. Godzilla
3. Godzilla vs. Monster Zero
4. Godzilla vs. Biollante
5. Son of Godzilla

In reality there are several more films that could be swapped into that list, but close enough.

2. Godzilla vs. Kong
3. Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster
4. Godzilla, Mothra & King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack

I admit this one surprises me just a little. It has a fair bit of the kind of light-hearted goofiness you don't seem to like.

Just because I dislike things like Godzilla's Revenge does not mean I am against Kaiju silliness if done right.

Beyond that, this film has the debut of my all time favorite Kaiju in Ghidorah so it will always hold that special place in my heart.

Fair enough.

And yeah, I figured that was probably part of the reason. It was a great first appearance for Ghidorah, and still one of his best movies.

Easily his best Showa movie. The only time he got to act with his own agency and it was fantastic.
