What Godzilla movie did you just watch?

Post by gzillafan17 »

I couldn't find another thread discussing this, so I decided to make one.

This is a thread to discuss the most recent Godzilla film you watched.

I just rewatched Tokyo S.O.S at the time I'm writing this. How did I ever think that movie was bad?

I just recently rewatched Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 2. Ended up enjoying it even more than last time I watched it.

I saw Son of Godzilla like a week ago. It's pretty good. Shame people dislike it because of the suits, I really like Goro and Seiko and it has some really nice directing.

No wonder I had some weird dreams. But the movie is way more enjoyable than people give it credit for, to be honest.

Finally got around to watching Tokyo SOS the other day. It's not terrible but it wasn't very good either. I liked it better than G14 but just barely. There just wasn't enough to it and way too many characters were quickly thrown in and made important with no real character or development to make them interesting. It was just a bunch of action sequences thrown together with little in the way of story to hold them together. At least it wasn't as boring as Tezuka's previous efforts.

GMK and Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 1974- both amazing films. GMK was just as perfect as I remember, and GvM's plot/story went a little too fast for me.

Yeah, I know what you mean, that entire scene is so atrocious, I dont know what's worst, the goofy looking shoulderblock and Godzilla flying through the air, or the "Something called Kiryu" line right after it. Awful, awful stuff none the less.

OT- Currently watching Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974)
When I need a fun entry to watch, I always go to this one or GTTHM. Nothin beats the original Mechagodzilla showdown IMO

Since it's Father's Day, I just finished watching Son of Godzilla. It's become a tradition of mine.
