There are a ton of great kaiju entrances, but one of my most favourite entrances is Godzilla's in the 2014 film (airport scene).

It seems that the humans are utterly at a dead end, as the Male Muto not only approaches them, but he has disabled most escape routes. It appears that the Male Muto would take them down, but that is when Godzilla stomps in the airport, enough to silence everyone in the area. Male Muto realises that he not going to win, and Godzilla emits a powerful roar.

That scene is very epic.

Godzilla himself is the king of cool entrances. There's too many to list.

2014 Godzilla's airplane entrance ranks as my favourite for the buildup.

On the fanon side, I've pictured Godzilla rocketing out of the sea and landing on his feet like a huge ass penguin.

You know, an entrance I think would be cool to see is people in a city notice blue lightning under the water of the bay, then someone notices a certain shadow and points it out and the camera zooms in on this familiar shadow, then Godzilla's raising out of the ocean with his spins glowing.

Sort of a combo Godzilla under the ice in KOTM and when he surfaces after being revitalized by the nuke in his temple. So close to what I want to see.

Return of Godzilla tops them all.
Godzilla in Mothra vs Godzilla is also legendary.
Gigan in Final Wars
Ghidorah in Ghidrah the 3 Headed Monster
Kong in Kong: Skull Island
Monster X's entrance in Final Wars is actually pretty cool too.
Gamera in G3
Godzilla in Godzilla vs the Sea Monster

God there's so many.

You could have two separate top 10 lists, one for Godzilla only and one for other monsters in general and still have some not make the list.

Nothing can beat KG emerging from that meteor or Godzilla's head appearing over the hill in KOTM. A few others come close, like Titanosaurus rising up over the sub, and MG shedding its disguise.

I speak of the 54 film. The hill on Odo Island.

I've got a few favorite Godzilla entrances:

*the second one in Godzilla (1954),
*the one in King Kong vs. Godzilla,
*the one in Mothra vs. Godzilla,
*the one in Ebirah, Horror of the Deep,
*the one in Destroy All Monsters where the 10 kaiju (including him) gather at Mount Fuji to fight King Ghidorah (I only wish they'd mentioned Varan's name, though),
*the one at the beginning of Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla with Anguirus (it's his roar, so it counts),
*the one in Terror of Mechagodzilla where he first fights Titanosaurus,
*the one in The Return of Godzilla,
*the one in Godzilla 2000: Millennium.

Every time I see one of these or any of the others in any of the films, I think to myself "He's baaaaack - and he is not happy."

Now for my favorite other kaiju entrances:

*King Ghidorah being spawned from the magnetic meteorite in Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster,
*Ebirah's large claw slowly rising out of the sea in Ebirah, Horror of the Deep,
*King Ghidorah landing in the midst of the aforementioned 10 kaiju at Mount Fuji in Destroy All Monsters,
*the revelation of Mechagodzilla at the oil refinery right before Godzilla's very eyes and the scan of the robot from different positions in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla,
*the upward-to-downward scan in the scene showing the mostly-complete rebuilding of Mechagozilla 2 in Terror of Mechagodzilla.

Too many to list, but off top of my head I like both Biollante form reveals (back-lighting and fog looked beautiful on Rose form) and Godzilla's reveal in Final Wars with the snow, lights, and storm.

Godzilla's appearances in Godzilla 2000 are pretty great, in my opinion. The start of the movie where he comes in under the cover of the night and the lighthouse looks to see a boat in the air and be confused and see Godzilla holding it in his mouth followed by the close up of his eye. And his entrance into the city to fight Orga is perfection. The Ifukube theme is icing on the cake.

The Giant Monster of the Skies always makes the best entrances throughout the franchise, but Rodan’s entrance in Godzilla: Final Wars holds a special place in my heart, mainly because it was my introduction to the character—and what a badass way to do so. Just swooping in seemingly out of nowhere, wiping out a couple of street bums and a cop, landing on top of the tallest skyscraper in New York and screaming that iconic cry while fully illuminated by the moonlight, all before then proceeding to obliterate said building and others like it just by flying by it.

Blew my nine year-old mind back then, and still gives me chills today.

It’s somewhat ruined for me by the scene directly proceeding his entrance:

“OOOOHHHHHH SHIT! IT’S A BIG BIRDIE! AND IT’S COM’N FOR US!”

*cue cartoon sound effects of the hat being blown off the cop’s head*

Godzilla 2000 Millenium and Godzilla Final Wars are the two single best Godzilla entrances ever. Maybe i’m a bit biased, but i fail to see how anyone would say they weren’t badass at the very least

Godzilla in Terror of Mechagodzilla, The way that the lightning showed his silhouette in the city zooms up and Soundtrack start as Godzilla roars after he shut down Titanosaurus it’s one of the most badass way to present Godzilla
