MEDICOM Toy and Action Figure Xpress (AFX) have announced three exclusive figures in the Godzilla: Vinyl Wars line. These figures are based on Godzilla 1962, Rodan 1956 and Godzilla 2000.

The toys are sold exclusively on ShopAFX. They join many other figures in the line that include Godzilla 1954, Godzilla 1968, Godzilla 1974 and many others devoted to specific versions of the characters. The toys are available for preorder now, and will go for sale in May, 2015. Action Figure Xpress (AFX) also has a bundle option for the three figures that retails for $242.99, which is $27 off versus buying them individually.

GODZILLA: VINYL WARS—MARMIT “KINGGOJI” GODZILLA 1962 SOFUBI

From MEDICOM Toy. This sculpt of Godzilla from 1962’s King Kong vs. Godzilla was originally released in 2002 and has had several different colorway variations over the years. Standing approximately 8″ tall, this Marmit “King-Goji” sofubi is cast in blue vinyl and features gold spray highlights and white detail paint applications.

GODZILLA: VINYL WARS—RADON/RODAN OVERSEAS EXCLUSIVE SOFUBI


From MEDICOM Toy. Known as “Radon” in his native Japan, Rodan premiered in his own solo Toho film, Rodan the Flying Monster in 1956, just two years after the premier of the classic Godzilla and noted as the first color Toho Kaiju Eiga. This “Overseas Exclusive” sofubi depicts the flying kaiju as he first appeared, cast in a light brown vinyl and featuring silver and gold spray highlights and red detail paint applications.

GODZILLA: VINYL WARS—MARMIT GODZILLA 2000 SOFUBI

From MEDICOM Toy. This recasting of the Marmit Vinyl Paradise Godzilla 2000 sofubi measures 8 5/8″ tall and depicts the kaiju king with his head cocked slightly to the left in mid-roar. Cast in dark brown vinyl with black and blue spray highlights and gold, white and red detail paint applications.
