To elaborte on what GinoKing is saying is that in the 360 version if you're in a Private Chat with some of your friends while playing MW2 then you'll be asked to leave the chat or leave the MP session.
This is now something MS is allowing 3rd Party developers to intergrate into games and something I don't like because honestly the only time I play MP is when I'm playing with friends like Chris over Live so normally we get into a party chat with our other friends also playing. Plus I don't feel like hearing some f**ktard saying "I f**ked your mom last night" or calling me some racial slang.

I guess some of it comes down to not my cup of tea, not a fan of twitch shooters, but Im not the only one who is complaining about the following:

I really like Halo's mulltiplayer, probably because it's what I'm good at. However, CoD4 plays a lot differently, especially with how little room for error you have with your health. Sure it sucks if you are used to being able to take some damage and still be able to retaliate (how I usually play). If you can get past that and learn the levels, CoD games can be come quiet the killing fest. I especially like the leveling up aspects of the game, it gives me more of a reason to play the multiplayer.
While I am a fan of Halo, don't get me wrong, MW2 is going to be a good game. Some competition for the best shooter will hopefully inject some competitive spirit in Halo franchise. I'd like to see what Bungie does to insure that Halo remains the top Xbox live game especially with how much hype MW2 is getting.

If it's actually a 25 kill steak, it actually is a good addition. If you play your killsteaks correctly in CoD4, you wait until you get a helecopter and then use it once you die, so you can easily get enough kills for another helecopter. By making more rewards available for killsteaks, its going to encourage players to try and get the next best one, increasing the likely hood that they get killed before that happens. While the reward might be unbalanced, what it does for gameplay balances out constant killstreak chains that can plague a match that's going very poorly for the other team. |

I don't see how Im a fanboy for not wanting to buy MW2. I dont like twitch shooters that much, for exactly the reasons you stated above.

Killstreaks dont add towards your next kill streak luckily, or else someone could easily pull off a chain and easily get a nuke. Other than that I really don't know what you're trying to say here. |

Well, my point was, that if killstreaks add to killstreaks PER life, it encourages people to use them while they are still alive(increasing the chance they start with nothing if they die), instead of waiting until they respawn, and instantly using a helicopter to easily rack up enough kills for another helicopter. Those kill streak chains can ruin the fun of games. Probably the better solution would have been kill streak bonuses last only the life you earned them with.
Anyways, my point was don't preach about the downfall of this game just because you're a gigantic Halo fan, which is what it's coming off as. I mean, do you really give a ******* about the PC version of this game, or do you just want another reason to complain about the game? I started playing CoD4 on PC originally and its infuriating how little support that the PC version is going to get. However, consoles are going to be this games biggest market anyways. Basically, people are going to play this.
Personally, I think that Halo is a much more balanced game, relying on skill alone, not perks and unlocked guns. I'd rather play and watch competitive Halo than a CoD4 match. However CoD4 is fun if you play it longer, because it gets easier to dominate other people if you know the maps, have the right guns, and perks. Especially because there aren't ranked matches. Halo will teach you how to be a good Halo player by having an excellent ranking system. It creates highly competitive games, and teaches you how to get better and better, but it's really hard to see your progress.
I think Halo could learn something from CoD by incorporating some ideas in social slayer at least. The competitiveness of Halo's multiplayer turns some casual players away more than a game like CoD. |

Uh, you can preorder ANYTIME before the game is released. Hell, I added it to my Amazon cart 3 months ago, and it's STILL ready to pre-order. So I assume you can pre-order even a day before official release.

As far as I know you can preorder any game up to a day before it launches. So as long as you get to a store by Monday you should be set.
Though there should be enough copies to go around that you don't need to preorder it, unless you want like the Hardend or Prestige Editions then which case a preorder maybe necessary.

I really don't see how multiplayer is unbalanced. But I guess the whole chat thing can go either way. I just play multiplayer for fun, not to socialize. But that's just me. Not to mention other games are going to start doing the same thing.
