One of the many reasons Dragon Ball: Evolution failed was the attempt to condense an entire arc from the TV series into a 90 minute movie. Things just don't work like that. A good DB adaptation should simply have an new story with the same characters from the series. It should be violent too.

Haven't seen Dragonball Evolution yet... Don't think I want to...
I have friends who are hardcore DBZ fans and they hate DE just as much as we hate G98. It must be pretty bad. Don't know why they'd make another one.

DragonBall Evolution was a bad movie.
That stated, it was a fun movie...
and I hope this film is more faithful.

DBE to me that it was so bad that it was good, and had some nostalgia feel to it (well to me it was). The movie was crap and I wish Fox made the movie five years ago like they plan to.

I liked the first film, it was fun and much more enjoyable than Transformers 2.

Actually, the movie's originally release date was sometime during the summer in 2007, so two years ago.
Fox aquired the rights in 2004 and had no plan to use them till around 2005-2006.
