It also just doesn't really gel with the naming convention of previous Pacific Rim monsters.Cryptid_Liker wrote:Superheroes are different from kaiju. that's because the latter is way more interesting and should be recognized moreMac Daddy MM wrote:How about a MAN that is... Me, too. Judging by the plot synopsis, it seems to be focused on one of the "bootleg" Jaegers, which was IMO one of the most interesting parts of PR2.Anguirus wrote:I hope we still recieve the anime series! Last year Netflix had two seasons ordered!

I know this comment is old but ULTRAMAN was animated by Production I.G and SOLA Digital Arts, not Polygon. The same studios collaborated once again for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045.SoggyNoodles2016 wrote:as the new Ultraman anime shown, while Polygons models are kind of meh, they can do some dope action choreography.

I honestly don’t care if it happens. I’m perfectly content with the first film and all it’s ancillary media. I don’t need an extension or continuation of the universe.

The anime is titled "PACIFIC RIM: THE BLACK" and is expected to see a release sometime in 2021.Gigantis wrote:What does it say? Twitter's being a dickweed right now.
Long ago, humanity defeated the Kaiju. Now, they’re evacuating Australia. In 2021 join a pair of siblings and their battered, long-abandoned Jaegar as they battle across a continent of danger in Pacific Rim: The Black.

That's a weird name. I hope the right translation is The Dark Continent.GigaBowserG wrote:The anime is titled "PACIFIC RIM: THE BLACK" and is expected to see a release sometime in 2021.Gigantis wrote:What does it say? Twitter's being a dickweed right now.

Astounding Beyond Belief on Tumblr found this - the opening sequence of the series (featuring a few familiar faces):
I honestly thought this was dead. Frankly, Uprising killed the franchise for me - well, it did kill the film franchise - but I'll check this out.
