My phone camera is literal garbage but I finally got around to taking pictures of my collection:

I tried to get as many angles as I could.

Just recently added the black book shelf because I was running out of space. I’m pretty proud of my collection. When I was a kid with a handful of Bandai creation figures, I always wanted to have a huge collection like what I’d see other people had online. I feel like I’ve reached that goal, although I’m not quitting anytime soon.

Sorry mine were so low-res. There's some figures towards the back of the shelves that are kinda hard to spot.

Always glad to see another Kong 93 Bandai owner. ;)

In all seriousness, fantastic collection, and fantastic display. It's the type of collection I hope to someday have. I really like all the colorful figures you have.

Also, don't take this as a criticism or attack, but unless its just the camera, I suggest changing the color of the light in the room to "whiter" and dimmer to really let the figures pop. I know that might seem like a lot of work but you've already clearly invested a lot of time in that.

Always good to see. Thats why like 18-20 years ago I had a website focusing on detailed descriptions of Godzilla vinyls. The best part was the collection pics that viewers would send with their own write ups that I would post on their own page showcasing each.

Serious question: how y'all manage dusting this stuff?

Like just my tiny little stack of Godzilla dvds is a pain in the butt to keep clean and organized, I can't imagine maintaining these huge collections of figures in a presentable state.

I take mine all down every 6-8 months or so. Really not too bad, it takes a few hours obviously. It's just maintenance.

I keep as much as possible behind glass doors in display cabinets. It DRAMATICALLY cuts down the amount of dusting needed.

Heh, yeah, the dusting is obnoxious. The main problem in my house is the spiders, though. They're just these harmless, spindly things that aren't dangerous or intimidating in the least, and I generally like having them around to keep insects under control, but they build webs all the hell over everything. My collection is constantly getting festooned and I have to de-web it every few months.

I don't have anything against spiders, but if I suddenly woke up to spider webs all over my collection, I'd probably lose my shit.

Every couple weeks I go around with the air-in-a-can, and every 6/8 months I re-arrange stuff and do a full dusting then.

Speaking of spiders, guess I can share my own "horror" story of a spider in the collection. Was doing a usual shelf cleaning and got to my Trendmasters Ultimate Godzilla. Turns out a spider made a nest inside of its mouth/neck and when I began to clean, hundreds of baby spiders began to swarm. Quickly got a vacuum and began sucking them all up and took some good, warm and soapy water to the inside of the mouth and joints.
