I might look at the first trailer, but otherwise yes.Angilasman wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 5:58 pm Anyone else gonna take advantage of the lack of ads to just ignore the marketing (when it does start) so they can go into this thing completely cold?

That one trailer may be the absolute best one released so far from the Monsterverse. Outside of the CC KOTM one.Moogabunga wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 9:01 pm I mean, its honestly looking more and more like there will only be one trailer

Totally down with just one trailer. I thought KOTM kind of overdid it.

I agree with this. I will look at the first teaser or trailer but after that, going in relatively cold especially since all of the legit leakers and scoopers have been chased off the forum.

Re: Godzilla vs Kong General Discussion (No Spoilers)
I've been spoiled on the movie, at least I think I have been. That being said, there's a difference between reading about something and seeing it in footage in the trailer. I hope they don't show any of the fun secrets or surprises in the trailer. It was really annoying how KOTM showed Burning Godzilla in the KOTM trailers; it was totally unneeded and would've been exciting to have seen it in the movie even if I knew it was there prior to viewing the film.

I think I get what you mean, but it's probably hard to gauge what the fans consider to be "spoiler territory" and what's considered to be fun reveals, ya know?LSD Jellyfish wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 5:01 am I've been spoiled on the movie, at least I think I have been. Also, certain things may feel like spoilers to us, but to the masses? To Legendary and WB, their goal is just to bring in as many inquiring minds as possible.

IMO, a spoiler is anything I wished I'd seen/heard/experienced the first time I watched the movie proper.

Yeah, but that’s unmeasurable and based on personal opinion. I totally get what you’re saying and respect it, but from a marketing perspective, they aren’t gonna hold back the money shots because of possible spoilers. It’s too broad and subjective.

It wasn't my intent to imply that it's up to the studio to do that. I understand I have to police myself.GoWhaleTours wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:15 amYeah, but that’s unmeasurable and based on personal opinion. They did reveal the Godzilla and Kong 10 inch Funkos today. Not sure if you guys have seen pix floating around social media.

Yeah, I've seen those - pretty neat. I think the smaller figures will be seen on Saturday thoughAtomicMorningBreath wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 9:04 amThey did reveal the Godzilla and Kong 10 inch Funkos today. Not sure if you guys have seen pix floating around social media.

Does anyone know if Danai Gurira is in this movie? Her character does not have a name yet on IMDB and it still says rumored.

Literally the fans are marketing this film better than WB is. That's just sad.

Fans say they're not doing enough promo for GVK.
What's the right answer?

Re: Godzilla vs Kong General Discussion (No Spoilers)
I think realistically, the right answer would be 5-6 months. Not too long, not too short. Hell, maybe they are somewhat relying on fans spreading it around for free marketing costs. We’re already doing it anyways_JNavs_ wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 12:17 pmFans said they did too much promo for KOTM.Dr. Professor wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 12:15 pm Literally the fans are marketing this film better than WB is.
