And where I am, everything is basically back to normal for the most part. I would be shocked if theaters aren’t open by end of July.

In short, they still aren't sure. But even mildly symptomatic people (IE "its just a cold" or "its just allergies") spread it like wildfire.

The virus doesn't last long in high heat and sunlight outside of the body, so of course it'll slow down in the summer, but come fall and I guarantee it'll ramp up again, and if we don't keep going or go back into the quarantine procedures it'll end up worse than the first wave. 100k+ deaths in the US alone aren't anything to ignore.

Even if theaters are open at half capacity in November there are still going to be tons of people who won't go to see a film because they are worried and want to be responsible and conscientious.

Any film coming out in that environment is going to be a comparative bomb. So it makes the most sense to release in VOD day-and-date with theaters. WB and Universal have both found out how insanely profitable doing first run VOD is now.

You know, I think that’s a pretty good idea, to release it both in theaters AND video on demand. That way, those who are braver and/or insist that a movie like this MUST be seen on the big screen can go see it at half capacity theaters while others can watch it at home. It wouldn’t be a perfect solution but it might be the best case scenario. After all, this may be the new reality for quite some time. In that case, they can’t delay it forever and really the same goes for other movies.

I wonder if Godzilla will keep his face scar from King Ghidorah's wing lightning attack.

I just realized that the writers on this are not Dougherty or Shields, and was written by Max Borenstein and Eric Pearson instead. Okay. That puts me at ease. My biggest issue with KOTM was the terrible writing, so hopefully this will help smoothen things out a bit.

Eric Pearson also co-wrote Thor: Ragnarok which is definitely exciting.

Junkie XL is Hans Zimmers student right? They had control over the BvS scores?

Whoever did Lex's score specifically knows exactly what they're doing.

Well...ship. Little odd, Pearson just kinda came out of nowhere in terms of writing anything with this movie...and I'm honestly shocked Borenstein is back and in such a major credit way.

But I'm pretty damn sure I remember Adam Wingard referencing the script and he specifically name dropped Terry Rossio...

I hope they kept Boringstein as far away as they could from the production while keeping him in enough to credit him.

Wingard has posted quite a bit of stuff today. Something must be coming. I mean SDCC is still coming if only online. You think they'll release a trailer soon or wait until Comic Con?
