How worried are you about the GvK being set back?
Now with GvK being set back practically a year from now, I have to ask. How worried are you about this movie, and thus, the Godzillaverse in general?

I'm not worried. If anything i'm glad! Now they have enough time to stop the film from having the same mistakes KOTM had.

Not worried at all. Gives them more time to work on the movie. A March release always seemed a little too ambitious.

I'm optimistic but cautious too especially if we take Solo: A Star Wars Story or Justice League to account.

Difference between this film against Solo and Justice League is that those films didn’t get pushed back to allow more time for the changes made in post production

Truth be told greatly worried. The Monsterverse is not in good shape now and with both Eternals and the Disney animated feature Raya being in the same month as GvK the chances of it doing just as badly if not worse then KOTM has increased. I hope that won't be the case and that I'm proven wrong at the end.

Both Solo and Justice League were directed by 2 different people.GodzillaFan1990's wrote:I'm optimistic but cautious too especially if we take Solo: A Star Wars Story or Justice League to account.
Added in 3 minutes 23 seconds:
You think "Raya" will be an issue to Godzilla vs King Kong? Both Kong:SI and G14 knocked their respective Disney releases out of the top spot.kaijuguy19 wrote:Truth be told greatly worried. KOTM had to deal with 2 MCU releases including Endgame, and The Lion King reboot. GvK is definitely not doing worse than KOTM.

I rather it be set back and be polished even if it ends up disappointing than be rushed mess and disappointing. Obviously I don't want it to be disappointing, I'm just making a point.

Godzilla vs. Kong is also dealing with Eternals though and we all know at this point any MCU film is bound to do well no matter what it is and if we go children demographic wise there's also Clifford, the Big Red Dog same case with Raya._JNavs_ wrote:You think "Raya" will be an issue to Godzilla vs King Kong? This is why I wished it was an August release (Hopefully with some small chance they finish reshoots much earlier and move it forward to that). Sure it'd have Bill & Ted to attend with but better then competing with an MCU and Disney/Pixar film.

I also thought that it would have been set back sometime in late summer/early fall, but I never thought that it would be released THIS late.GodzillaFan1990's wrote:Godzilla vs. That also mean that it will cost more to make. Not only that, but Legendary had MORE then enough time to learn what people liked and didn't like from Godzilla 2014. Don't you think that it's a bit odd that it's taking Legendary MORE time to learn the lessons from KOTM?tyrantgoji wrote:I'm not worried. If anything i'm glad! Do kids even know Clifford still exists? I'm sure it'll be the same case as the Dora film.GodzillaFan1990's wrote:Godzilla vs. People where aware that Dora existed when the film came out and i'm dang sure the same is going for Clifford.

I'm dissappointed but hey, it'll give them more time to make GvK work!

Clifford was big when we were kids, not so much now. Dora had a reboot, Clifford did not.tyrantgoji wrote:You can not be skreoonking serious.._JNavs_ wrote:Do kids even know Clifford still exists? Re: How worried are you about the GvK being set back?
Exactly. If the controversy around Captain Marvel wasn't able to stop her movie from being a smash hit then it won't be any different with the Eternals which are facing a similar situation. I also don't need to go much into how Raya won't have problems raking in plenty of money.GodzillaFan1990's wrote:Godzilla vs. Godzilla vs Kong are pretty much in a no win situation at this point so it's going to take a miracle to come out unscathed.

Raya seems to be focusing on a female demographic.
Non issue outside of the Disney logo.

The film itself isn't the issue. The logo is.
