I just want a composer who doesn't get drowned out by all the dialogue and sound effects. Every single MonsterVerse film has been guilty of this.

I'd say both KOTM and G14 had suitable levels of music to sound effect ratios. Though admittedly here and there it was a bit drowned out in KOTM.

I feel like GKOTM was the worst example of this.

Terrific score that wasn’t nearly as bombastic as it should have been in the film itself. We need John Williams levels of noise here. Subtlety need not apply.

Shin was worse IMO. Kind of pissed me off Who Will Know is drowned out in an otherwise amazing scene.

Since a trailer's probably coming soon, I'm reviving this topic with two new options! Feel free to vote which one you would like to hear!

Well i would love Alan but i feel like he's busy with other stuff. Ramin was who i originally voted for but again he's busy so out of the picture, and i doubt Bear is returning. So i went and voted For Michael!

I would absolutely love for Bear to return, his score for KOTM was imo the best in the Monsterverse so far- a perfect blend of old and new. But like already stated, I doubt he would return so i'm gonna go with Giacchino- his style would fit nicely.

Bear is probably coming back, otherwise they would’ve announced a new composer by now

Honestly, I would love to have Bear McCreary back.

He created such great themes for Ghidorah and Rodan, so great that none of us even minded that he didn't use the original Ifukube cues in those cases. I would really enjoy what he'd come up with for Kong.

Definitely. The prospect of his Godzilla theme returning and seeing what he will pull with Kong is what excites me the most about the possibility of him coming back.

I’m really looking forward to what Junkie has to offer. Pretty wild he had a 9 ft drum created just fir GvK. One can only imagine how it’d be implemented

While I have many many problems with Man of Steel the score isn't one of them (i know Zimmer gets the credit but Junkie supposedly help out a lot). I'm curious to hear what he comes up with.

TBH, one composer I'd get for this film would be either John Powell (How to Train your Dragon, Bourne series) or Ludwig Gorronsen (Mabdalorian, Black Panther). Definitely two of my favourite composers.

I wish Alexandre Desplat could've come back for this movie. His soundtrack for Godzilla (2014) was on another level.
