Re: GMK sequel
I'm more on the Kiryu saga, but a GMK saga? I don't know.
If the suit was redesigned to be more streamlined and less paunchy, and faced Anguirus/Varan as well if not the Space Man, I wouldn't mind it at all. To be frank, it was good on its own though it didn't seem that the director quite understood how to do a Godzilla film. It was a great film, but the nuclear origins and the whole WWII souls was seriously wasted and felt like a retread of Gojira, but staler. It didn't exactly go anywhere as it was lost to the mysticism of the other threel. I did love the fight against Baragon, but I was sure not sure about Ghidorah because it was not handled as well as I hoped it would be in its own fight scenes.
And Mothra? It was actually useful and the prop was much better this time around, though still struggling for air time like Ghidorah.
If Godzilla was pure evil , I want to see it illustrated by bringing hell on Earth to Japan, not the usual stomping grounds.

Sequel? Oh, is GIGAN a 'guardian monster' this time?

Re: GMK sequel
^ It could happen. I could almost rationalize it more than Ghidorah.
Anyway, the Mothra and Ghidorah being shoehorned in thing was the only flaw in the movie for me. It's probably my favorite of the entire series. Would've (and still would) love to see a sequel.

What could a sequel even be about plot wise? What could they do? Have godzilla get posed by the spirits of those who died in the atomic bombings then attack America and with king kong, zilla, and the giant claw as guardian monsters?

Re: GMK sequel
Gigan as a guardian monster would not make sense, but it could be done if there was a sequel since King Ghidorah was Godzilla's arch enemy and was made good. Godzilla as a bad guy, Gigan as main guardian monster, Battra as the second one, and Anguirus the one Godzilla takes first, but we won't even see a gmk sequel.

SonOfGorgo, no necroposting. Don't do it again.

Re: GMK sequel
What's the limit anyway? A year? Half a year? I've seen other topics/threads that have been going since like 2010/2011.

Except those have been active from the beginning (or people didn't hit the report button on necro'd threads). No one has posted here in 3 years, it's a dead thread.

Roughly a year. I'm saying this thread in particular has been dead for 3. Now move on.

That's okay, just wanted to know. Nothing personal, nor did I want to annoy or harm anyone. Apologies.SpanishBulldog63 wrote:Roughly a year. I'm saying this thread in particular has been dead for 3. Now move on.
