Might be they felt they needed to deny official use of it by similar defense to what Chrispy outlined, least they face legal issues.

Well that video's awkward.
But yeah I was really struck by how quiet and slow the Japanese cut of G2K is compared to the American version - it's a bit like G2014 compared to the more bombastic KOTM 2019. It throws you for a loop a little after watching the other for so long.
