Is Kiryu Godzilla's brother, dad, or what?

I like to think that their brothers, but that may not true so what do you think?

He's techanically the father due to being built on the original Godzilla skeleton. In terms of ressurection, he is a brother, which I prefer. He's tormented by his memories, has to prove himself, then protects the world with an almost Shadow the Hedgehog attitude. He doesn't really like his brother, but he can't bring himself to kill him.

He's just another member of the species mutated by fallout. Or are you just kidding?

I'm coming from the angle of their being a linear heritage between the Godzilla's. Whether this is true or not, whatever. Thats just how I look at it.

I've always preferred this theory as well, having Kiryu as an "older brother" makes more sense, and its kind of like a insanely heated sibling rivalry.

I always assumed the were brothers, with SOS Godzilla being the same Godzilla as the one from GRA, but that's just me.

It has never been said if the first and second Godzilla are related or not in any official film. I myself, like to think the first Godzilla is the father of the next, but that is just me.

No real indication that they are related whatsoever. The alive G in this film is pretty dumb though in comparison to the 1st G, so I would call him the slow cousin if they actually are related
