Invasion of the Nanometal

Post by Gigantis »

INVASION OF THE NANOMETAL
It all happened so fast.

Now already most people weren't fond of the Bilasaludo, the past encounters with aliens not helping matters, but their Nanometal was hard not to use in battle. Earth's mecha units were stronger than ever, able to easily drive back even Earth's biggest threats: SpaceGodzilla, King Ghidorah, Bagan.

But they had a mind of their own. And they began to hunt us down.

Every human and alien alike at G-Force became one with them, and soon they got to lesser monsters like Baragon and Ebirah. With no real way to truly stop them, they began to climb ranks of the kaiju they overtook..even Godzilla and Gamera weren't safe..

Only so many monsters and humans remain. But we shall not give up hope! We shall slay the Nanometal!
The blue lizard slowly marched through the great forest, out for anything metallic to kill. His white dorsal plates flickered a dark green hue, and his orange pupils glowed in the dark. At first, one might even mistake him for Godzilla himself, but in reality, Zilla was his own beast.

The final child of the original Zilla, raised by Dr. Nick Tatopolous. It hurt to think of his father, or anything about H.E.A.T. All of them, dead, taken over, or gone missing entirely. He was the only one left.

His thoughts were cut off by the sound of metal clanging in the distance. The Nanometal infused form of what appeared to be a giant crocodile soon bursted out of the trees and let out an ear piercing roar that hovered across the enviroment. But if there was one thing Zilla had in common with the real Godzilla, it the was the thing that was most important.

The will to never back down from a challenge, no matter who it shall be!

Big, tan feet hit the land. It must have been weeks worth of swimming, but he finally made it. The big hippo monster looked around the area, purple eyes seeing what remained of his old home. There was nothing left; no buildings, no vehicles, and most important of all... no people. Daigoro had returned to the place he loved after being sent away years ago, hoping to find his family. He didn't really understand what they were saying to him when they were tried to get him to leave (being an animal and all), but he could see what they wanted.

When strange metal stuff started covering the island he found on his travels, he had to come back. To see what the strange substance had done to his homeland, he knew he made the right choice despite the small sense of guilt in his heart for being disobedient. Daigoro let out a sad sigh for losing the small town before walking away through the mad and ravaged world; maybe he could at least find his family. At least, he hoped he could; he didn't want to think about what could've happened to them.

After emerging from her cocoon, Amaris was content to explore and wasn't really looking for trouble. Her massive bright green wings carried her easily from her island home to the nearest continental mainland. From there she casually began moving north, a strange feeling pulling her in that direction though she wasn't sure why. Before long she passed over a forboding site, the land and countless buildings below showed the scars of a terrible and desperate battle.

WIth perhaps morbid curiosity, she continued to follow the path of destruction, and soon the acrid scent of a strange metal reached her antennae, and then she heard a terrible screech in the distance. Was this the battle cry of whatever terrible thing caused the destruction she just flew over, or the anguished cry of its victim. She wasn't sure she wanted to know the answer but still continued on all the same, giving her wings several mighty flaps to lift her higher in the sky for a better view of the area.

Zilla had almost no difficulty dispatching the poor metal infused creature, finally able to put it out of it's misery. Sighing, he walks off out of the jungle, and the clouds part to finally reveal the sun.

For some reason, seeing the sun made his heart hurt. It reminded him of brighter times, when the only threat to the Earth was the occasional alien being, or ancient monster. It was times that he longed for..

Nevertheless, he had to march still. The roars of another being caught his ears, along with what may or may not have been the sound of..wings? It had been so long since he had fought, heck, even SEEN a monster that could fly! If these two were infused, he would put them down. If they were still truly alive, however, he would join them. More monsters not fused with the Nanometal meant more hope for the world.

And hope was all that was really left.

As far as he could see, he saw more of the strange metal that was seemingly swallowing everything around him. What wasn't covered was dying, brown and grey everywhere around him. The dark sky covering everything too wasn't helping, making for a dreary landscape. What had happened to the world? What was still happening, for all he knew? He missed how things used to be, that was all he truly knew.

All of a sudden, he heard something from the sky. At first, he thought it was thunder. When he looked up, however, he saw some kind of shape heading his direction. The first emotion he felt was fear; he saw what was happening to the world, he didn't want to see what had happened to the beings in the world (though there was some part of him that did). He didn't want to fight either, so he tried to scare it away before it could get close by taking a deep breath and letting out his best roars.

Hearing another roar as she continued to ascend, this time even louder than before, Amaris really wonders if she is in for a fight as to her the roar sounded aggressive, rather than fearful. Soon she would rise above the ridge of a mountain and finally become visible to the other two kaiju. viewed from below, her fat furry body is somewhat reminiscent of a cloud, if not for fact that her large elegant light green wings are likely the first thing to draw attention, their graceful flapping keeping her large body aloft while the ribbon-like tail end of the wings flutter in the wind.

Her attention focused in the direction the roar came from, she first spots Daigoro, her large black compound eyes taking in the kaiju with a strange combination of hippo-like and humanoid features, along with a tail. She lets out a cry, higher-pitched and not nearly as loud as Daigoro's earlier roar, and meant more as a greeting, to hopefully convey she wasn't interested in fighting him. At this moment, she notices another large figure moving toward her, and with a few flaps of her wings, she turns herself a little to have a better view of the more lizard-like kaiju that now approached. She very much hoped that these two would both be amiable, knowing that if they both decided to turn on her, she'd have little chance trying to defend herself against them both at the same time. Still, for now, she stands her ground so to speak, hovering in place and watching.

Hearing the gentle noises it was making made it clear it wasn't dangerous made it stop roaring. As it got closer still, it was also clear that the creature was normal. Daigoro sighed in relief; at least some of the living beings in the world were normal. He took a few gulps of air; the island he lived in taught him he had to be tough to be a real kaiju, but that wasn't easy. For a moment he watched what the creature was going, seeing it go in the direction of what was another creature on the ground.

Trying a more calm minded approach, he carefully followed the lead of the creature to see its point of interest. He hoped it was normal as well.

The mutant iguana continued to trudge up two the monsters, and was greatfull that not all had been taken by the metal. He roared in a soft manner, communicating between the three of them. He stated what he was doing ever since the Nanometal had attacked and was hoping that maybe they could be allies in arms..

Amaris was relieved when the other two monsters did not attack her, with one seeming to relax somewhat and follow her toward the other monster, who seemed to be asking to form an alliance against this Nanometal plague. This was her first time seeing the effects of the Nanometal first hand, but she was saddened by how it tainted the land, and even more by the crocodile-like monster that had been taken over by it, and low lay dead.

The giant moth lets out a mournful cry and waves her antennae, trying to communicate that she would very much like to fight against the terrible thing that had caused all of this. While still watching Zilla with one of her eyes, she looked to Daigoro with the other, curious to see how he would respond.

While already knowing that crazy gray stuff was spreading like mad, his story was still worrying. He cautiously asked if any humans survived. He had a family to find and if the metal got them the way it did to this creature's family... he just had to know.

As unlikely as it was, Zilla did tell Diagoro that some humans are still around, but he did not know if those were his family or not, for he dd not know them. However, it was possible that perhaps if they could find where the Nanometal had came from, perhaps it was possible to find every monster under their control and perhaps even reverse the effects.

He called them to arms, heading south. The Nanometal seemed strongest here for some reason..

Daigoro was perked up by the news. There was a chance, so he followed the kaiju's lead. Come what may, he had a mission and would see it through.

Amaris was pleased to hear that it might be possible to save monsters that have been corrupted by the effects of the Nanometal. It would appear that the trio are now a team, and surely together they would be able to accomplish more than each could have hoped for alone, this gave her a new sense of hope. She follows along with Zilla and Daigoro with redoubled interest but still continues to scan the area with her large eyes, so if any threat came upon them, she would hopefully notice before it got too close.

All they really needed to do was use all their senses. Zilla had heard of their being some type of "city" that the Nanometal was born in, perhaps taking the shape of the old factory the Bilasaludo made it..where the heck was it? None could tell because Nanometal was all over. They could be searching the Earth forever before they find it..
