So, if I'm listening right, the Rodan flock is some sort of omen to Godzilla's arrival/return?
I'm getting some GMK vibes with this Godzilla, really liked the first episode, can't wait for the rest.

Also, yeah, the music is really good, it has that Showa flavour to it, I loved the one that sounds in the first traielr with the trumpets and choir. I'm waiting for Toho to release the album.

It's also amazing how much the classic roar adds to this actually feeling like Rodan.

So did you guys notice that the blonde girl in the front, the guy behind her carrying a case, and the guy on the left who is apparently a cameraman are the references to Godzilla 1998? They are dressed in just same outfits as they were in the movie.

I dunno how to feel about the outro, the music is pretty lame to me and I don't get why they're doing a "what could have been" type of thing with it. It doesn't help that I can't read or speak Japanese so I have no idea what the context for those shots is meant to be, even if I can clearly tell they're "non canon".

All the human references don't do anything for me personally since I find it hard to recognise faces. I got happy seeing Ichiro and his friend there, though.

I'd like to feel excited for this show, but I can't feel excited over something if I don't know when it's coming for me at all.
