How could Toho make Godzilla even "weirder"? What new directions might they go in after 2020?

Making a Slice of Life out of Godzilla kaiju (something like Aggretsuko or Teen Titans Go! (hopefully better though)). Out of all the directions to go with kaiju (especially ones we've known for years and years), this is the most bizarre way to go.

I used to like it too, but after watching it again after a few years I didn't like it that much. I think it's better than its reputation would lead one to believe, though.

But I want him to have the three transformations thing... It was very unique.
I mean, if we got a transforming monster like Shin we should be able to make Bagan transform, right?

Make a godzilla movie with no godzilla.

Basically A mockumentary treating the first movie as an event that actually happened, where people are interviewed about godzillas appearance from their perspectives eg ogata, relatives of the original cast or survivors of godzillas rampage and the problems they face today. It would also include an american perspective using the journals from steve martin and would shoe how it has affected japan 60 years on with tokyo never recovering from the radiation, think how (chernobyl looks today).

godzilla, like I said, is not in the movie, only through reconstructions and old photographs and thar it makes reference to the showa films saying toho exploited the event and made movies around it (like the lucky dragon incident). Probably having some dumb sounding title like "Post godzilla" or something

A cool way to make Godzilla weirder would be to give him the erratic movements of a lizard, the cold almost dead eyes and the fast, sudden strikes would be an interesting change of pace for him without getting too crazy.

Another few weird ideas:

- a Varan the Unbelievable remake with Hard-horror elements?

- a porno is being made and it ends with Godzilla's foot stomping on everyone. The end.

- a direct sequel of Godzilla's Revenge where its 50 years later and it's just Ishiro in a straitjacket. He talks about his "adventures with Godzilla" and it ends on Godzilla smashing the psych ward, killing Ishiro.

- a mockumentary about Godzilla repeatedly destroying Japan and it focuses on the life of company that has to clean up Japan everytime.

- Godzilla destroys a comic-con

- The Shobijin are sat on by a fatass explorer and killed. Mothra is pissed and destroys Japan. If Toho EVER goes there...I would laugh my fucking ass off.

And...(on a serious note)

- a animated or Live-action version of "Godzilla in Hell"

This would work nicely with my desire to see a movie version of Monster Makers, Inc. by Laurence Yep. It features a genetically engineered Godzilla that's a little under 3 feet tall.
