Any past weapons you'd like to see return/updated?

For the discussion of Shin Godzilla, Godzilla -1.0, the anime trilogy, Godzilla Singular Point and Toho produced and distributed films after 2015. Includes US movies financed by Toho like Detective Pikachu.

I'm not against anything new. I want to see something new. But basically, is there any "super weapon" you like from a particular era like the maser cannons that you'd like to see return and/or be updated in the new Toho films? I would personally love to see the Heisei maser cannons again, particularly the MBT-92 and ASTOL-MB93.
TK's resident other 1980's fan who longs for that decade's return, and severe weather fanatic.

The MB93's were a bit outlandish, but iy would great to see them return. They were only in one movie if I remember correctly.

Masers.

ASTOLs might be too hard, maybe choppers with maser guns.

I say they should bring back the Artificial Lightning Towers from Mothra vs. Godzilla along with the TC 600 Field from Godzilla vs. Biollante and combine the two as a large trap where Godzilla and the opposing monster duke it out while the JSDF bombards them with heavy maser fire.

How about instead of discussing rehashed versions of past weapons, let's look towards real-life advances in millitary tech to introduce into the series. For example, drone fighters, naval lasers and hell, even DARPA inspired units.

I have a major soft spot for the Super X, but a new weapon would be the most interesting, I think.

I'm good with any technology used during the Showa era. I don't want this to become freakin Star Wars or Trek for crying out loud.
