Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Since I see it so rarely these days, I tend to enjoy it that much more when I do get the chance.

You don't know how good something is until it's gone.

Indeed.

Of course, I have found the opposite to be true on occasion, even as a die-hard fan of the genre. Every once in a while, a monster movie which I really like is so pervasive and readily available that I find myself getting temporarily kind of sick of it. Happened with a few of the Heisei Godzillas, and with all three of Kaneko's Gamera films. I still love them, but I needed a little time away to remind myself of that fact.

Let's keep it civil, a'ight guys? I know nothing's really happening yet, but just in case.

Now to the topic, I really like this film. It's always had a charm to me that none of the others really gave me.

The movie is awesome every once in awhile. The music takes you back to those times where you first saw the movie and with the action and dialogue, it is something you can have fun no matter how many times you have watched it.

One of the reasons why this movie holds up, IMO, after so long.
UNSTOPPABLE FURY. UNTHINKABLE POWER. UNBREAKABLE WILL.

Yeah, I know what the term means, It'd be a good homage to the original Mechagodzilla film.
I never said it had to be the reason, but perhaps a factor.

I mean, you clearly didn't, because otherwise why would you have asked "Not sure what you mean by"..? I'm all for keeping things civil, but please don't backpedal with your arguments. Thank you.

The word Dragon is associated with Godzilla for obvious reasons, so for a Mechagodzilla to have the moniker "Machine Dragon" isn't that much of a stretch, since that's literally what he is. This is why I said you were "reaching" with the connection to Nami's song. Is that easier to understand?

It's a great movie, and works on many levels. As has been said, the music score is memorable, and the acting and effects are good.

Aww, this one's my boyfriend's favorite, and the first Godzilla movie we watched together <3
I loved it, I was hooked after this one.
I really like when Godzilla's fins spark, really cool stuff.

I clearly didn't understand how I was "reaching" when I was just asking a question. After hearing "Kiryu" so many times in the song, I just thought hey, I wonder if they gave MG3 the name Kiryu as a wink to this movie?
I didn't know if it had ever been stated before or what, it was just a question.
There were no arguments and not everything needs to be an argument, bud.
No need to be rude ^_^

Aaaaanyway, always thought it would have been cool to see Anguirus pop back up for his revenge in the final battle, too bad it never happened. It would have been one hell of a beatdown.

If Anguirus did, I wonder how well he'd fight with his jaw busted.

I still find it a little funny Anguirus showed up, got his ass beaten, and then said 'f*ck it, i'm out'.
