Could someone, who knows Japanese more than I do, translate this site?

I can pick out bits and pieces here and there, but most of the grammar is lost on me. It appears to be talking about the film's history. All I got was "'Godzilla' (1954) and 'King Kong' (1933). These (something) movies*..." And that's it.

*Or possibly "This (something) movie," I'm not sure. I'm just going with my assumptions based on the context.

There is a ton of information apparently about the film's Japanese home video releases. I really wish somebody could help me understand it... Kyono_Rei, maybe?

They're called publicity photos.

I don't see what that has to do with preservation of the movie, kiryuzilla. You're in the wrong topic.

I'll gladly eat crow if it doesn't turn out that way....but at this point it feels painfully obvious, as it has for months.

I watched the musical comparison video you did on Dailymotion, and while your restoration looks excellent, I do think the black levels are a tad too high. Some finer details were lost and in a few shots (such as Kong hiding behind the rock face) the loss of definition was a downside.

I uploaded a corrected screenshot sourced from the HD broadcast to the Dubs! group on facebook, and Allen posted a corresponding shot from your restoration. I think the timing for your image is a tad dark, but I'm no expert. I know that your restoration is basically complete, but I do think the black levels could be adjusted.

And for the record, I put together the musical comparison video.

I see, it can be somewhat confusing connecting the dots between people and their online aliases. Still, I hope that my point about the black levels is not overlooked. Its fine if you disagree, I just would like to know more about the process of color timing and such. Hopefully, any critique of mine would be beneficial in some way.
