Which Showa suit would you replace the rest with?

OK, we know the Showa series has numerous suits and many of us have preferences. But what if there was just one, every movie used the same suit over and over. Which suit would you prefer?

That's almost impossible to answer, considering I can't think of a single Showa suit that would work for every film.

Don't think about it in terms of working for a film. Just go by which one you like most. I know KingGoji's appearance would be out of place in later films. But I still selected him because I like that one the most.

Mosugoji, Soshingekigoji, or Megarogoji '74 are my ideal choices.

However Mosugoji would work well in most cases. For films like Gojira and KKvsG where Godzilla is the villain the first version of the suit would work well. In more kid-friendly films like SoG and so the "watered down" version from GTTHM would work.

I can't pick. The Showa had major differences in tone and theme and budget from movie to movie, it's like trying to choose what tie to wear if you have 15 shirts and 8 ties. If some are striped, some are solid, and some have Peanuts characters on them. It really depends on which shirt you choose.

If the series stayed extremely dark, deep, and depressing, I'd go with ShodaiGoji.

If the series stayed serious but still give that early 60's feel, I'd go with MosuGoji.

If the series stayed kid friendly, I'd go with MegaroGoji '74-'75.

I'm tempted to vote Musukogoji just to be contrary, but nah. Mosugoji is simply the finest looking suit.

Pretty much this. Some suits work really well with the mood and atmosphere of their respective film(s) and would work well in certain others; however, some suits would clash terribly if used in different films. I just can't see Shodai Goji defending Tokyo from alien invaders nor could I really take Shoshingeki Goji seriously if I saw him in a more serious Godzilla film. Still, if I had to pick one suit that would work best for most of them, it'd be Mosu Goji.

For me, it'd be one out of KingGoji, MosuGoji, DaisensoGoji, or SoshingekiGoji. I honestly have a hard time picking 'cause they're all so great.

If you're asking what's my favourite showa suit, I'd say KingGoji, but if you're asking what suit I think would be best for all the films, I'd go with MosuGoji.

I would have to pick the 1962 suit because it looked the most fierce and Godzilla-like.

MosuGoji, a great and at-times menacing suit which would work well for the entire series in my opinion.

KingGoji, it looks the best and I think it should have stayed around for a few films.

If you mean which one matches with most movies, I'd say MegaroGoji.

I would've picked the ToMG suit if it was an object (face is much different from Megarogoji), but Mosugoji will do just fine.

I voted the KingGoji.

It doesn't help that King Kong vs Godzilla was the first Godzilla movie I've ever watched, and that the KingGoji has that appearance of higher mass behind it.

^In all honesty, I really only like KingGoji because it was different for the 60's. If it there were more like it, even in one more movie, I would never like it.....

Either 1975-MegaroGoji or MosuGoji. MosuGoji would have worked great if the Showa Series continued being rather dark, but I'm going with 1975- MegaroGoji simply because Showa Series stopped being dark incredibly fast. Plus 1975-MegaroGoji shifts in shots from being adorable to intimidating rather quickly. It works, sort of.
