Wasn't it implied that he uses it predominantly for tunneling only? Not much of a weapon, is it.Cimmerian Dragon wrote:I Like the Showa design better than the GMK, but I wish they didn't give him a beam weapon.

Re: Monster Discussion #17: Baragon (Showa)
Personally Baragon is up there with Anguirus and King Caesar as the coolest kaiju, Godzilla aside of course. I would like to see Baragon come back one of these days and have a little more screen time than GMK, I felt like they just wiped him out because he is such a lesser known/used character. He could have been really fleshed out and important to the story but oh well. Cant decide between the Showa or GMK version though, theyre both pretty cool lookin.

I wish Baragon had more to do in the Showa series, but that would mean replacing Anguiris and Gorosaurus in some of their most memorable parts. He's a pretty nifty little kaiju.
Does anyone know why Baragon has such a huge fanbase in Japan like Anguiris does here?

If Baragon is ever used again, do you want to see him brought back as a friend or a foe? I wouldn't mind seeing his heat beam brought back.

I believe Baragon has potential to be a formidable foe for Godzilla. His underground abilities can give the Big G a run for his money, not to mention he's a decent tooth n claw fighter. Wouldn't mind him to be Godzilla's opponent in LPG.Killswitch wrote:If Baragon is ever used again, do you want to see him brought back as a friend or a foe? Though i wouldn't mind if he was an ally.

You know, since Baragon uses his flame breath in digging, how does he not run out of oxygen because of the flames while underground?

I'm not sure he uses fire to dig. I haven't even seen him do that.Coolface wrote:Ah. I see now.Lord Gappa wrote:1. I wouldn't say it's fire, more of a generic "Heat-Ray" so to speak, so I don't think he would need oxygen.

i would like to see him more often.

Re: Monster Discussion #17: Baragon (Showa)
Baragon is a pretty peculiar monster(despite the silly look on his face and the floppy ears oh, and the beam that does nothing!),i like how they made him ferocius by eating people, chickens, pigs and a toy horse.
And he is also a dwarf compared to the other monsters(only 25 meters tall).
With that said,i still like GMK Baragon more.
