Cool in its time, but I think a straight beam is the way to go in the new millenium.

Straight of curved, I don't mind either. Maybe do both.

For a game or something, sure. But I wouldn't want it to show up in a movie again.

^man your really hung up on this lol

ya as a kid(younger kid i should say) i always thought it was a pretty cool quality of the beam. i remember comparing it to the curve of airsoft BBs when they fire. then again, nuclear rays of death and BBs are very different

For some reason, the curving effect made it seem like it was more powerful to me. I guess it's because it normally wouldn't curve (I assume, because nuclear breath obviously doesn't exist), so the energy must have been high enough to refract the path of the heat and radiation by itself. How often does that happen?! The only problem is that now, Godzilla has a little more trouble in aiming, LOL.

I don't see anything inherently old-fashioned about the curved beam. It was done for technical reasons, but at the end of the day it's just a beam that's curved. Visually, I think it looks interesting and distinctive. If it showed up in a modern movie I'd be happy to see it.

Frankly, I wouldn't mind if it comes back or not.

It could prove practical in a future film. If the Hesie Godzilla had had a curved beam, it might have helped his breath get passed SG's forcefield when Godzilla aimed for the tower. In a similar situation, a curving beam could be just what he needs.

Don't really have a preference. I don't think it really adds anything to Godzilla as a character one way or another.

I always thought the curved flame was for dramatic effect, nothing more. As if a powerful wind curved the flame.
