Yeah, plus they renamed the film Gigantis. Weren't they trying to make it basically its own film and not a sequel so it could make more money? I thought I read that somewhere about the US version.

Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster. Too rushed with the inclusion of Godzilla, I honestly think Kong would have been a better fit.

Easily Gigantis The Fire Monster. I find it to be the worse Godzilla movie, because it tried to change the Japanese version into a completely different movie.

That was the original concept. Ultimately they settled on something more tame. Do keep in mind though that this was before Godzilla was a big thing, thus the rebranding

These are my least favorite Showa films too (minus Godzilla Raids Again) but I'd argue that only AMA, Megalon, Giganand Raids Again are truly bad. Ebirah and Destroy All Monsters have their faults to be sure, but I can watch them and still have a pretty good time.

I was more commenting on the fact that our lower-ranked Showa films are exactly the same, but yeah, a couple people seem to be ignoring the title but people have done a pretty good job so far.

And it's besides All Monsters Attack/Godzilla's Revenge & Megalon. Unless you're making a joke that's flying over my head.
