I understand that some people think Minya looks ugly, but I don't understand why. What about him is so ugly? Because I honestly don't see it.
Q: Will we see that monster that Bryan was going to reveal this morning at the press conference?

I don't think it's that people think Minya is ugly as much as how unGodzilla like he is.

Well, "ugly" and "cute" aren't strictly mutually exclusive.

I think Godzilla's Revenge isn't the best movie to judge Minya with. In that movie Minya represents Ichiro (think that's the kids name) and his troubles with an always absent parent and that fat bully gabera.

Okay, Minya's not that bad.
I can't believe that Godzilla was the only surviving member of its species, but if we continue conducting nuclear tests, it's possible that another Godzilla might appear somewhere in the world again.

I like Minya. He is a fun character that adds more personality to Godzilla than we thought.

Minya brings something unusual to monster characters. He humanizes them more than the others do, showing behavoir anyone who's raised a child would recognize. It's a different take from the normal destructive kaiju we usually see.

He does show quite some charm, but I still prefer the naturalism of Godzilla Jr from the Heisei era.

From a design standpoint Godzilla Jr is the perfect offspring/son for Godzilla, I just like Minilla a little more because of nostalgia and just how clownish he is :lol:

Eh, I don't know. Junior doesn't have much character. Minya is loaded with it.

Jr was a chibi before that. :P
Baby. Little. or Jr it doesn't matter they really don't have as much personality as Minya does. Jr does have some though its not like he is a husk with no character.

While I'll admit the dub voice for him in Godzilla's Revenge was laughably silly, I've always liked Minilla. I've always thought him helping Godzilla fight Kumonga in SoG was kinda badass in a way. And him helping kill King Ghidorah in DAM was neat, too.

Just some interesting trivia Jun Fukuda said that the reason Minya was male was because Toho felt it would be strange if Godzilla had a daughter.
