ArtMaker’s Parodied MonsterVerse

Post by ArtMaker »

INTRODUCTION:

The idea for this alternate universe of mine is that it isn’t an exact copy of the Godzilla franchise, but is more of a sort of warped funhouse mirror of it. Certain events/details are changed around w/ both the Heisei and the Showa Era series in one big continuity as well as new things happen. Other monsters/characters fill in the empty spots left open, etc. I do not own “Godzilla”, “Mothra”, “King Kong” or any of the other monsters/kaiju. All rights go to the rightful owners. This is a spoof/parody of the characters/stories, and nothing else. I only own the spoof(s) in question.

You can find these in their entirety over on my DeviantArt gallery here: https://www.deviantart.com/artmakerprod ... nsterverse

A Brief History of KID KONG, GUYZILLA and OTHERS:

Back in my days of fifth grade I had gained and interest in Dav Pilkey’s book series, “Captain Underpants” which is what led me into drawing my own comics. The first among them was “Kid Kong”. A parodied retelling of the classic story w/ a giant human kid in place of the ape.

Here are some of those early (most being unfinished/incomplete):

These would not be the only times Kid Kong (and others) would be featured. Several times over the years they’d make appearances in unfinished/incomplete comics as well as my other drawings. Recently there being a resurgence of the old properties and I have been revisiting and revising them. Here is said old art and comics:

STORY:

In this first draft of the story follows the same story beats of King Kong, but the names are altered and the relationship and message at the end is changed.

During the 1930’s, Louis Stringer, a con-artist/film director go to an unexplored island out in the Atlantic Ocean to film his next motion picture. A down on her luck and llaid off actress by the name of Diane is hired to star in the film. She had lost her son during WW1 and desperately needs the money, so she agrees to go. When they get to the island, they are taken hostage by the island natives and plan to sacrifice Diane to their god of the island: Kid Kong. It is revealed that their god is a giant feral human. He takes her to his lair in the mountains above the monster infested jungles of the island. The crew manages to escape the natives and go on a rescue mission for Diane. They encounter many horrible creatures along the way. After some time, Diane learns that Kong has no ill intentions towards her. Kong is the last of the giant race of humans on the island, having lost his family at a very young age. The two start to share a close mother-son bond with one another. However, this is short lived as she is rescued and brought back to the boat with Kong close behind. They knock Kong out with powerful sleeping gas. Louis, in an attempt to salvage the production, decides to bring Kong back to New York.

Several months later, Kong, all dressed up for the event, is shown off to the public. Kong is infuriated as he sees the reporters swarming Diane and believe them to be attacking her which of course causes him to go mad and escapes, going on a rampage through New York in search of Diane. The military chase him up the Empire State Building. With his mother figure in hand, he perches at the top of the skyscraper but soon he is shot down by a squad of biplanes. Diane is heartbroken by this having lost another loved one. In the aftermath, Louis goes to see the lifeless body of Kong. He is told that the airplanes got him - in response, Louis says: “No, it wasn’t the airplanes. It was a mother’s love that killed him.”

The End.

Part II:

KID KONG, 2nd Draft:

In this 2nd (and the current) version of the story, Ann Darrow’s character is split into two in the form of a mother and daughter: Diane Sparrow and Lily. Carl Denham is changed to Earl Dunham, a film director thrown out of the studio for failing to make a sufficient box office return on his last three films. Kid Kong is more or less the same.

https://www.deviantart.com/artmakerprod ... -794090860
Image

~ Earl Dunham is a bumbling film director known for his jungle-themed flicks that are set in the most exotic and remote of places ‘round the world. Also for his track record of going waaay over budget. He is a charming (but clueless) man with a thirst for adventure and glory regardless of his own (or his film crew’s) safety. He does have a soft spot for children.

~ Ms. (Diane) Sparrow is a stunningly beautiful woman of 40 years, and is the widowed mother of Lily. On the way to the island, she does her best to seduce the carefree Dunham with no luck. (This is a running gag throughout the story). She isn’t the best mother out there, but Lily is stuck with her so she’s the best she’s got.

~ Lily is a little girl who takes a fancy to nature and other oddities. She doesn’t have too many friends back home on the account of she and her mother being poor and hasn’t gone to school in a long while. She meets the imposing Kid Kong when she is kidnaped by the natives of (the ironically named) Happy Island as offering. At first she is absolutely terrified of Kid Kong. She tries many time to escape - only to be cut off and attacked by some random monster native to the island. She is then rescued by him and taken back to his home up on the mountain that overlooks the island. As she spends more time with the giant humanoid. She learns he, like herself, is lonely.

~ Kid Kong is the ruler of the island, a king if you will, and is worshipped as a god by the island’s natives. Kid Kong is currently the last of the giant humans on Happy Island, with most of his family falling fatally ill to a mysterious disease long ago with only him surviving. He’s been alone ever since. He quickly takes a liking to Lily and does everything in his power to keep her out of harms way, even if it means putting himself in danger to do so.

Earl Dunham, a charming film director brings Ms. Diane Sparrow and her 12 year old daughter, Lily on an adventure to an uncharted island out in the middle of nowhere to film his next motion picture. The island is humorously named “Happy Island”, but nothing about this island is happy, as it is full of the most dangerous and terrifying creatures anyone has never seen... and the oddest of them all: Kid Kong.

(Artist’s Note: Oh, and the mammoth fighting Kid Kong is a reference to an earlier comic I made: “Kid Kong Vs. The Beast from 10,000 BC!”, where Kid Kong and a Woolly Mammoth that was frozen in ice, but freed from the extreme heat and they fight in Africa. It being shown in the last post).

- On the voyage to ironically named “Happy Island”, a kid by the name of Shawn, who works on the cargo ship as a roustabout, becomes smitten with the daughter of the leading actress of Earl Dunham’s motion picture, Lily Sparrow. They both seemed to get along very well, but Lily’s mother, didn’t like the idea of her daughter associating with a person of colour (it was the mindset at the time, as most should know). Regardless, the two like each other anyways.

- An enormous vulture-like bird tries to fly off with Lily in its clutch, but Kid Kong quickly comes to her aid.

- The crew of the S.S. Denture traverse the dense and murky swamps of Happy Island, when a Spinosaurus emerges from the water and devours one of the unfortunate sailors. The rest run away in panic.

- After a rough fight with an angry bull Woolly Mammoth, Kid Kong tosses the beast over a cliff to its doom.

- Kid Kong, now free, begins to climb up the Empire State Building with Lily in the hopes of escaping from the U.S. military.

KID KONG, The BOY WONDER of the WORLD

ACT ONE
Our story begins, like many Kong stories before, in New York. A failing director, Earl Dunham, has travelled here as he’s been given one final chance to make a profit and pay back the studio he works for on all the money lost from his last three motion pictures: “Jungle Love”, “Going Ape” and “Deadly Seas”. As he struggles to find an actress willing to participate in the film he meets a little girl, Lily, who gets caught stealing an apple. He poses as her father and pays for it. She’s thankful. Later the girl’s mother, Diane Sparrow shows up and thanks him for his kindness. He offers them dinner and asks her if she’d be interested in starring in his film. Seeing an opportunity to become wealthy, she agrees. Through Lily’s internal thoughts, we learn this hasn’t been the first time she and her mother have pulled this stunt. It being something Lily is highly against, but must obey her mother regardless. At the docks we meet a boy named Shawn. Him working as a roustabout as he is the oldest and his mother is unable to get a job as she needs to care for her two other children. On their way to the filming location, Diane continually tries to woo Dunham. She is unsuccessful everytime much to her annoyance. Her daughter however is more successful in this regard as she and Shawn start to fall for each other. Puppy love if you will. The crew begin to stir with uneasiness as to where they’re going and demand an answer. Dunham gives in and tells them that the filming location is set on an island dubbed “Happy Island”. It was named so for it resembling a smiling clown when looking at the island from a high altitude. However, the name is meant to be ironic as Dunham doesn’t tell the crew that the island is said to be invested with the most dangerous and terrifying creatures on earth. They eventually do arrive on the island. Once they start getting ready to shoot, Lily is neatly kidnaped by the island natives to be used as an offering to their god: Kid Kong. She is swiftly rescued and they retreat to the ship. Dunham disappointed that he once again is left empty handed. Before they can leave the island, Lily is taken and is given to their god. Kid Kong takes her into the jungle. Dunham, Ms. Sparrow, Shawn and the rest of the crew set out to save her.

ACT TWO
- Lily makes an attempt to escape but is caught by Kid Kong
- A multi-horned ceratopsian attacks the crew
- Kid Kong fights a Woolly Mammoth
- A family of sauropods stampede after getting spooked by a sneeze
- They encounter a Spinosaurus in a swamp, along w/ a Plesiosaur and other various monster fish
- Lily tries to escape once more, but keeps running into dangerous situations: leading to Kid Kong fighting a large carnivorous theropod
- A giant Pterosaur attacks the rescuer’s camp
- Lily and Kid Kong start getting to know one another and build a bond (Lily does most of the talking, but through Kong’s gestures we get a sense of what his past was like)
- Kid Kong (w/ Lily) runs into the rescue team and they open fire on him. Believing them to be also a danger to Lily he flees. Running across a log bridge, causing it to dislodge as he does. By the time the crew make it halfway it starts to slip and only Shawn makes it across to the other side. Many fall into the dangerous pit below
- Lily is rescued by Shawn and they flee
- Kid Kong is lured down to the beach and gets knocked out with a boulder that was dislodged by a gas bomb Kid Kong had ducked under when it was tossed at him
- In an effort to salvage the mess, Dunham takes Kid Kong to New York

ACT THREE
In a few months, Kid Kong is finally shown off to the public who are both amazed and stunned by the sight of the gargantuan human. Kid feels indifferent as long as Lily is okay. More of a background detail, but in the public's eye, Dunham, Diane and Lily are a sort of family (something Diane is heavily pushing for which Dunham is oblivious to). As the show goes on, several photographers start taking pictures. Diane is soaking all the attention up like a sponge and as she tries to pull Lily in closer to pose for the photos, in the struggle this starts to upset Kid Kong as he believes her to be attacking Lily. Lily tries to tell her mother this but is ignored. He breaks his chains holding him much to everyone’s horror. Diane, Dunham and (much to her objection) Lily, split the scene w/ Kong close behind. Outside, Dunham flags down a cab for the two and get out of there. They make an escape just as Kid makes it outside. He goes the opposite direction. Shawn meanwhile as he leaves for the night to return to the docks sees the army moving in. Realizing what’s happening, he goes to find Lily and Kong. Kid Kong starts looking through New York for Lily causing hundreds of dollars worth of collateral damage in the process on accident in his confusion of the new environment. At this time Lily has managed to wriggle out from her mother’s grip and goes off to find Kid before any more bad things happen. Soon enough they find each other and go on a search for safety. Shawn is close behind on their tail. Lily suggests he go up the Empire State Building; a spot she believes the army/military won’t be able to reach him and they’ll be left alone. As Kid Kong reaches the top to enjoy some peace and quiet with Lily, several biplanes show up and start firing at him. Shawn makes it to the building and begins to head up to the top himself. Kid Kong does his best to fight the planes only managing to take out three (one being w/ his shoe). Eventually he finds himself on the verge of death’s grasp as his wounds begin to take their toll on him. In one last attempt to take out one of the planes, he loses his strength midway and falls to his death. As people start crowding his lifeless body, Lily is heartbroken by the tragic death of her friend. She is comforted by Shawn. Diane and Dunham soon arrive at the scene having gone after Lily once she ran off. Dunham overhears talk of how the airplanes got him and in response, Dunham says: “No, it wasn’t the airplanes. It was beauty’s friendship that killed the beast...” Dunham leaves both Diane and the scene as it draws to a close...

The ORIGINAL Kid Kong Comic:

https://www.deviantart.com/artmakerprod ... -872207294
Image

Behold, one of the first comics I ever made. This was back in my last year of elementary school in 5th Grade. So I must've been around 9 or 10 at the time most likely. It was between 2009-2010 I know for sure. In the original design here, Kid Kong wore animal skin shorts and an apron-like shirt. When he was brought to New York he was changed into a more civilized attire: shirt, shoes and pants.

As you can tell, my art skill has vastly improved over the years.

As a follow up to Kid Kong, the king himself, Guyzilla:

This was his earliest redesign:

A slight modification of the previous one seen above. Here he marches through the city, now set ablaze by his breath:

Next, in terms of when it was drawn rather than chronologically timeline wise, came the crossover fight between Kid and Guyzilla:

Following Kid Kong and Guyzilla, an “original monster”, Buron. A sort of tribute/mix of the three kaiju: Baragon, Varan and Anguirus. This is a redesign of the original that was seen on the old comic covers I shared in the 1st post at the start of this thread.

In the continuity of this series, there are two Burons. One, the original that makes his debut here:

A second appears and fights Guyzilla (after his fight w/ Kid) and is killed. Afterwards, the original that was seemingly defeated makes a return later in the series:

After that, who should be next but Mothra’s counterpart, Momthra, Goddess of Motherhood and Peace:

Her look and design is modelled after artwork of a variety of goddesses in chinese culture:

It wasn’t long before the (literal) Goddess would clash with the irradiated humanoid, Guyzilla:

Their fight starts because he believes the basket (carrying her two infant children) is a picnic basket w/ food and that she is trying to steal it from him and is ignoring the “finders keepers” rule:

STORY:

“GUYZILLA, KING of the HU-MONSTERS!”

...

For this loose parodied adaptation of Godzilla, I wanted to stay true and pay tribute to the original’s seriousness and incredibly grim and somber tone with the imagery. Going for a dark/black-comedy horror type of deal. ‘Comical’ for how straight/serious it’s played w/ the fact that a giant human is stompin’ about wrecking sh*t. If you didn’t guess by now, Guyzilla’s deformed skin/growths is an allusion to the radiation burns of the fishing crew of Lucky Dragon No. 5

...

“A”-plot:
It’s the late 40s, and two friends, Sam and Hiru, are out on a fishing trip. Nothing to worry about, or so it seems...

Suddenly, the entire sky is lit up in a nearly blinding ray of light as a thunderous noise echoes across the ocean. Before the two can even react, their ship is blown away by the shockwave created by the explosion. Hiru is knocked unconscious. When he finally comes to, he finds himself in terrible pain as the left side of his upper half has been burnt badly. His muscles twitch and ache as he pulls himself to the edge of the boat. He has no clue what happened, and he is not able to find any trace of his friend, Sam. Years have past, it is now the mid-50s. Hiru continues to live in Tokyo and is now a graduate in the sciences. Everything seems to be going smoothly for all... That is, until a mysterious entity destroys a fishing vessel out in the Japanese sea. This causes panic among the people of Japan.

After several fishing boats go missing, an investigation is launched to discover what has been causing these disasters. Soon, the culprit reveals itself - Guyzilla. The titanic humanoid, after many years of living out at sea, returns to his home country. Only to be greeted by missiles and firearms. He lumbers onto dry land, crushing everything beneath his feet. His facial expression devoid of any form or possibility of human compassion. Suddenly, he unleashes a fiery breath and sets Tokyo on fire. The army is helpless to stop him. Many civilians are either killed, or severely injured. As he carries out his destructive rampage across Tokyo, a saddened Hiru looks on in sheer disbelief. Horrified by the fact that the man he once called a friend, has now returned as this... thing. An empty shell of his former self. Guyzilla continues to lay waste to the city, turning it into a fiery inferno. He continues his rampage through Tokyo, destroying several buildings and other structures along the way. The military attempts to combat Guyzilla, but their efforts are futile. From way up on a nearby tower, a news crew and several photographers watch and report on the terrible event. Guyzilla notices that the flashing of their photography equipment strongly resembles the blinding flash of light all those years ago. He proceeds to attack the tower, killing everyone on the structure.

After several long hours, most of Tokyo is either on fire or reduced to rubble. In a final attempt to drive Guyzilla off, the Japanese military sends in the air force and they open fire. Of course, this doesn’t harm him, but is more of an annoyance. Finally, Guyzilla decides to leave and returns to the ocean. However, this is not seen as a victory in the eyes of the remaining survivors with many having lost their friends or families from his rampage. Tokyo is left in ruins and is contaminated with high levels of radiation...

After Guyzilla’s rampage through Tokyo the previous night, many are left injured, dying or dead. Hiru contemplates the idea of using a powerful, but dangerous chemical compound that he created. He is hesitant to use it for fear of it being exploited by others afterwards. Hiru finally decides to use his formula as a weapon against Guyzilla - only this once. He is escorted by the military to the location of the giant monster. Hiru insists that he go himself, as a means of making sure the device is set off correctly. He is geared up and set down to the darkest depths of Tokyo Bay where Guyzilla sleeps. Hiru carefully unscrews the container holding the chemical inside. Once it is released, it starts to dissolve and the surrounding water begins to bubble and churn. Everything organic in the water begins to wither away. Guyzilla, awakened by the sudden burning sensation caused by the chemical, returns to the surface and screams in agony and is unable to escape. He begins to lose his strength and sinks to the bottom. As he begins to wither away, he catches sight of Hiru. It is unclear if he truly remembers his friend or any of his past life. As Hiru watches, he cuts off his oxygen. Thus, ending his life and taking the formula for his device with him. Ensuring it shall never be used again. In the last few moments of his life, he looks on at the monster he once called a friend, bidding him a somber farewell as he hopes that they’ll see each other again soon. There is no sign of either Hiru, or Guyzilla. It is declared by the military that Guyzilla is dead. With this, the country can finally rest with ease... for the time being, as there could possibly be another monstrous creature out there or worse, Guyzilla may be resurrected and re-awakened by continued nuclear testing...

“B”-plot:
After several years of being away from his home country, Ichori returns to Japan. There to see his folks and is surprised to meet a little brother, Kojii. Was born not too long after his departure from the country. Another surprise to him is that they’ve moved out of their old lil’ home in the country and have moved into the city. Living in a small apartment building. Doing so as the old school Ichori had gone to was closed and demolished. Leaving their closest one within the city. Kojii is shy and quiet, but eventually starts opening up and the two start getting to know each other. Going out on trips exploring the city for bonding experience. At a diner, they meet Anna, a waitress. She and Ichori appear to like each other. Deciding to go out on a date later that week.

Soon, they and the rest of Japan hear about this “Guyzilla” monster, having attacked a village on one of the nearby islands. Worry and panic spreads as it’s unclear what to do in such a situation. Especially w/ the implications of the beast’s origins; his skin scarring being a clue to what it was. Days go by and Guyzilla arrives in Japan. All means of stopping him prove futile and he ploughs through the city and setting it all on fire w/ his fiery breath.

As the town is set ablaze, Anna makes a run for it. Trying to get out of the city but gets left behind in the scramble to evacuate. She finds herself caught in a maze of burning buildings and avoiding Guyzilla’s path of destruction.

Also still in the city is Ichori. As he left home hours ago to go out for his date. He calls his parents and finds they aren’t home when no one answers. So he phones them at their office. Currently set ablaze and has left them, and others, trapped on the higher up floors. At their final moments before the fire reaches them, they make a final request that he take good care of Kojii, which he does. The line goes dead. His cries out for them are for not as they are killed by the fire. He runs home, Guyzilla trailing behind and heading in the same direction. Struggling to do so, but he eventually does arrive. He races up the stairs and finds a crying and scared Kojii hiding under the bed. Ichori carries him out, but it appears too be late. Ichori holds Kojii in a tight embrace as Guyzilla knocks a building right into the apartment complex. Crashing and crumbling to the ground. They get buried under the rubble. Guyzilla eventually leaves the city and returns to the water.

Hours later, while out looking for other survivors, Anna finds the two having miraculously survived. She and them make their way to the now very crowded hospital. While Kojii is getting checked up, Ichori and Anna chat. Jokingly, in an attempt to lighten the mood, stating this being “an interesting place for a date”. Anna tells how she is the daughter of a Japanese woman and an American man. Both are currently in America on their wedding anniversary. Hours pass. On the radio is news of a man, Dr. Hiru, with the answer and solution to defeating Guyzilla. Ichori, Kojii, Anna and the rest of Japan listen in on the radio. Soon, an announcement they all had prayed for: “Guyzilla is dead”.

THE END

...

Character bios:

~ Sam/Guyzilla, King of the Hu-Monsters: On the far off islands of Japan, lives a mythical sea monster known as Gaijira, translated into english as: Guyzilla. For years, this behemoth of a human rested at the bottom of the sea, feeding off the ocean life. At first, no one knows where the beast came from, but a man by the name of Dr. Hiru Shizowa hypothesizes that Guyzilla is the result of nuclear testing out in the Pacific Ocean years ago. The government asks if there’s a chance they can kill him. The Dr. says that if the man he was prior to his transformation into the giant monster was able to survive a nuclear blast, then what could possibly stop him? He brings death and destruction wherever he goes, and sets the whole city of Tokyo on fire as he trembles the buildings that stand in his way.

~ Ichori (29) [updated]: Moved to America shortly after high school to seek out new opportunities and lifestyle. Years later, having finally built up enough cash, returned to Japan to see his family and meet his little brother. Unfortunately, this “happy reunion” would be cut short, as another terrible event was to occur in Japan.

~ Kojii (9): The younger brother of Ichori, Kojii is a rather quiet child who prefers keeping to himself most days. Growing up, he was very lonely and would often ask about his older brother that he’d never met before. When he received word from his parents that he would finally meet the sibling in question, Kojii was overjoyed. In the next few days, he and Ichori would spend most of their time catching up w/ one another. His life is put in danger when Guyzilla rises from the sea and attacks Tokyo. It’s a race against time as Ichori makes his way through the burning city before it is too late.

~ Anna (28): Anna, a Japanese-American, works as a waitress at a diner in the downtown area. She is caught in Guyzilla’s destructive rampage across Tokyo later on.

~ Dr. Hiru (45): In the 1920’s, Dr. Hiru befriended Sam, and the two became friends for life. They served in the war together and afterwards, retired to a tropical island in the Pacific Ocean. To their horror, this was the sight of nuclear bomb testing and they were caught in the explosion. Hiru’s face and upper body was badly burned from the radiation, and Sam... Sam was gone. Years later, still living in Japan and having graduated college. He has become a doctor in the sciences, and has recently created the formula for a chemical that can break down organic materials in mere minutes. However, before he revealed his discovery, the terrible thought of its use for weapons came to mind. He grew hesitant and thus locked it away and vowed never to reveal it... fate had other plans, in the form of Guyzilla. Unable to stop him with conventional weapons, Hiru decides that the only weapon even capable of killing him is his Organic Dissolver device. He sets off to confront the slumbering giant and sets it off. As Guyzilla writhes in pain, Hiru cuts his oxygen supply and bids a farewell to his old friend.

Next up, is Rodan’s counterpart, ruler of the skies “Terror Bird”:

Terror Bird originates from a species of toothed-bird that lived alongside the dinosaurs. The last of her species lived in Russia, before they were all wiped out by nuclear tests. She is the only individual that managed to survive the bombings. Her environment, contaminated by radiation, caused her to undergo many changes including: growing to an enormous size, increased strength and flight speed, impervious to most conventional weapons and gained the ability to shoot “lighting” out of her mouth, dubbed: “Lightning Ray”. She is no longer able to reproduce due to the radiation; meaning that even if there was another of her kind, she wouldn’t be able to produce children. Therefore, once she’s finally kicked the bucket, that is the end of her entire species. After making her presence known to the world, she started to terrorize the countryside in her search for food and new nesting grounds. Soon, Terror Bird then proceeded to and destroy most of Moscow. She was chased by the military shortly after all the way out to the Hawaiian isles in the Pacific Ocean. Terror Bird was knocked out of the sky after three powerful bombs were dropped onto her from above. She crashed onto the rocky shore of the island and fell into the ocean. She was unable to escape fast enough and was encased in molten lava. Years later, she would finally escaped her imprisionment and began to terrorize Japan - encountering three other monsters: Guyzilla, Kid Kong and Momthra.

Sorry for jumping around, timeline wise, folks. I’ll get around to making one soon enough. With that out of the way, let’s head back w/ Kid Kong shall we?

“KID KONG Vs. PROMETHEUS: RESURRECTION of KID KONG!”

This entry goes on to explain how Kid Kong is brought back, how he got electrical powers and the ability to draw strength from electricity, beefed up to a couple dozen feet or so for his fight w/ Guyzilla. Cues taken from the cancelled “King Kong Vs Frankenstein”.

https://www.deviantart.com/artmakerprod ... -812806847

After his fall off the Empire State Building, the military claimed the body and placed his corpse in storage. At some point later, the body was auctioned off to a man by the name of Horace Gregory. Inspired by the works of Frankenstein, he began his own experimentation of bringing the dead back to life...

KID KONG: The mad scientist had discovered that if he harnessed the power of atomic energy, along with the power of electricity; a similar method used by Frankenstein, he could (in theory) jump start the heart and restore the body to near perfect health. Essentially making them practically immortal - again, in theory. It was a success and Kid Kong was resurrected. He has a blurry memory of his friendship w/ the human girl, Lily. Suffering from amnesia. One other side effect is his height and strength slowly increasing as time passed (possibly a result of the use of radioactive materials in his resurrection). By the time he faces off w/ Guyzilla, they are nearly equal in height. It also helped that his island had also been close to atomic testing int he late 40’s. Another side effect was Kid’s ability to replenish his strength by absorbing electricity (either human made or naturally from the environment) and can harness it in his hands and use it to shock and cripple opponents.

PROMETHEUS: Gregory’s second project, titled: Prometheus, was also being worked on along with his experimenting in the resurrection of the dead. He used the body parts of various large animals, both modern and prehistoric (having journeyed to the ironically named “Happy” Island, Kid Kong’s original habitat, to collect specimens). After much trial and error, the creature had finally reached it’s completion and was given life. This abomination against nature and the recently resurrected Kid Kong grew an immediate hatred for one another. As time passed, Prometheus grew in size and matured into an fully grown adult. Going from 21ft to over 35ft in height. The same with Kid, who was originally 19.5 ft, now stands over 30ft in height and showed no signs of stopping any time soon.

STORY:

Dr. Horace Gregory, having been a fan of the works of Frankenstein for many years, had decided to start his own experiments. He started off small; reanimating roadkill and putting together horrible little abominations. Eventually, the doctor moved onto bigger projects. However, there was one problem: money. In need of proper funding, he went over to the Germans (as WWII had started at this point) and presented his project to them. Impressed, they gave him the funds necessary to proceed with his experiments. He managed to purchased the near perfectly preserved body of the one and only Kid Kong. Through the long and strenuous process, he had finally created life. By the time he had completed his creation: Prometheus, and resurrected Kid, the war was long over. Now with two giant monsters on his hands, he did the only thing he could think of: show off his creations to the world. After months of planning, he and his monsters returned to America. It was a big shock for everyone when they saw that Kid Kong was still alive; even more so for Lily, who was now in her 30’s. She quickly went ahead to their next stop and snuck backstage to see Kid Kong. Although he had little to no memory of her, he was still friendly to her. Their friendship reborn. Prometheus also grew a fascination with her, but was more aggressive in his approach to her. Not wanting to abandon Kid, she joined Gregory on his tour as a performer w/ Kid. Prometheus, growing jealous of him being w/ her, attempted to take her from him during one of their shows. Kid, growing protective of Lily once again, comes to her aid as before. Prometheus and Kid start to fight one another in a violent battle through the town, destroying pretty much everything. Horace is killed. Soon after, the military gets involved and attempts to stop them. One of their first attempts is to drop an electrified wire net on them. This does no good as it misses Prometheus and it is revealed that Kid draws strength from electricity. It seems they have little to no power to do anything to stop the two fighting.

King Kong and Prometheus’ fight leds them to the city of San Francisco. Their fight reaches its climax at the Golden Gate Bridge. The two duel to the death at the top. Eventually, they both lose their footing and fall to their supposed deaths. Amazingly, Kid survives this time ‘round, but barely. Before the military goes in to finish the job, Lily, not wanting to see her old friend get killed again, quickly intervenes and begs that they simply return him back to his island to prevent any more harm (as it was more Prometheus’ fault for starting the fight). They agree, and Kid is quickly returned to his island where he is to remain the rest of his days... Or does he? In the

THE END

When Guyzilla comes stompin’ back into Tokyo once again, he faces off against the young prince of the jungle: Kid Kong. It’s an epic clash of the titans when these two powerful (and destructive) forces of nature engage in mortal combat w/ Japan as their battleground.

Untold devastation awaits in: “KID KONG Vs. GUYZILLA”.

Now onto the big baddie, King Ghidorah’s counterpart: “Monster Q”, the 3-Headed Horror from Outer-Space!

His backstory is that he was created by Martians. Over thousands of years ago, the planet of Mars was inhabited by an advanced alien race. They were capable of many things - however, they were a rather selfish bunch and treated their own planet very poorly, completely unconcerned with the potential consequences. This came back to bite them in the a$$ later on, as the planet’s surface became uninhabitable. They retreated underground because of this. As time went on, their resources began to run out.

In an effort to preserve their own species, they resorted to pillaging other planets for their resources.

They created Monster-Q through genetic manipulation to carry out these terrible acts of vandalism for them. Once the target was neutralized , the “Martians” themselves proceeded to invade and take everything they needed with little to no remorse. They continued to do this for centuries, and soon enough, our planet was next....

Powers/Abilities include: A (purple) fire breath used by the dragon/crocodile head for both up-close combat and long range attacks; a powerful laser used by the cybernetic eye/head to cause heavy damage and long distance attacks; an extremely acidic substance used by the plant to corrode/damage an enemy. The cybernetic eye/head has an advanced A.I. used to coordinate and execute attacks. This is the ‘head’ honcho (lol) of the three heads. Monster-Q has wings capable of creating powerful and destructive gusts of wind. It’s tail is used to grapple and hook objects; even carry them off, if it isn’t too heavy that is. All-in-all, Monster-Q is the ultimate, incredibly powerful weapon of destruction capable of annihilating civilizations - but how does he hold up against four other monsters?

One day, a (slightly crazy) homeless woman w/ the ability to see the future from time to time, receives a vision that Guyzilla will rise from the ocean once again; Terror Bird will escape her imprisonment on the Hawaiian isles: (https://www.deviantart.com/artmakerprod ... -855955045), and Kid Kong will return to Japan.

She tries to warn everyone, but she is laughed at. Soon enough, the three monsters do re-appear and start fighting each other across Japan, creating massive amounts of property damage along the way. She receives another vision that a monster sent from the planet Mars will come to destroy all life on earth. Again, this comes true. With all these monsters causing trouble, they resort to getting help from Momthra. She soon arrives in Japan and after getting the other monsters to stop fighting, requests their help in defeating the alien invader (https://www.deviantart.com/artmakerprod ... -800097448). They do not want to, as they only want to continue fighting each other and see no reason to help the humans due to their history with them. Seeing as she’s unable to get them to help, she goes off to face the monster alone.

Momthra is unable to fight Monster-Q by herself, but luckily the other monsters join in to help. The four monsters now put aside their differences and team up against the space monster in an battle of epic proportions.

The three-headed genetic abomination is driven off and returns to outer-space. They all go their separate ways afterwards.

Here are the updated designs of Monster Q., later given an additional head to further differentiate and spoof King Ghidorah, reaching up to a ridiculous four heads in total.
