Chapter 1- Divine Vision

- Long Before You -

Long before life came into existence there was the Ancient God "Divin'finiti". A being of pure energy, to the naked eye invisible. In the infinite void of what would become reality, Divin'finiti reigned. Eventually, with all its infinite power, it became weary of ruling over emptiness in solitude. So Divin'finiti brought two beings into existence. They would go on to mold the fate of reality. The first and most powerful of these beings was Convenience. A feminine being of pure light with the ability to alter space and time to her very own will. Divin'finiti watched as it's first creation executed the wildest and most outlandish fantasies.

Convenience created galaxies, star systems, and planets. Then soon she became restless. Beginning to show signs of violent yet benevolent intention. Divin'finiti realized its conclusion to be precise when Convenience birthed her own life. Wild animals, the first mindless primates and feral prehistoric creatures. Massive monsters and horrible mutants. Even dangerous microorganisms laying waste to all in their path. Fearful of the power consuming her mind, Divin'finiti took two sure steps to prevent its creation from stepping out of line.

The God annihilated her creations, laying waste to her favorite child planet. The same small blue planet that would soon be Earth. Convenience was then shortly after stripped of all darkness and consuming thoughts. This split Convenience into two halves of existence. Herself and the male counterpart Gargulon.

Gargulon was from conception bound to negativity. Where Convenience would create and evolve, Gargulon had the potential to devour and infect. This caused Divin'finiti to shun and banish the dark child to the most distant and unknown dimensions. Imprisoning Gargulon to never have any remnants of destruction coming from its creation.

Convenience however was distant since losing her first creation. Her favorite planet reduced to smoldering rock floating in space. No signs of any inspiration for further life. Viewing the stunted growth of Convenience, Divin'finiti came to a realization. If the universe was constantly prevented from expansion and evolution; the vision had when Divin'finiti was making Convenience would never be realized.

This led Divin'finiti to a final decision. Divin'finiti released Gargulon and took small fragments from both creations. The pieces of their celestial bodies and minds scattered throughout all of reality, all dimensions, and generally all of space-time. These fragments of cosmic energy became the first steps for intelligent life to emerge on its own. Divin'finiti then decided to step back away from its children. Allowing reality to mature on its own; and allowing its children to govern their future.

These celestial fragments would not only become a catalyst for human life to bloom on Earth. But the catalyst all living beings have in their genetic make-up. This would make some life forms adapt differently from others depending on what area of space and time the fragments landed in. Some unique and rare, each a deity in their own right. While others were no different than one atom from the next.

Among the next few billions of centuries, a near countless passage of time; Convenience had developed several realities in abstract and mirroring images alike. Her favorite remained the universe where we resided. She came up with an idea to provide more entertainment for herself. She eventually let what she created roam wild amongst its corner of reality. Limiting herself to the bare necessities of involvement. As if reality was her television. All the while Gargulon festered on punishment for being birthed.

Gargulon had resented and hated his creator. Merely viewing itself as pure darkness and not a necessity to keep reality in check. Though much less powerful Gargulon was always attempting to knock his sibling off track. Never truly taking a liking to his place in the universe. It became such a constant bother Convenience eventually banished Gargulon herself. A war was raged across the universe demolishing billions of lives across countless worlds. Simply due to the sheer magnitude of two vital celestial bodies clashing.

At the end being born of Convenience, Gargulon could never best his sister. At least not at his current ability. He was banished to a distant portion of reality. Locked away from the main continuum of space and time. Trapped in an entire Pocket Dimension. Gargulon remained unable to interfere with and alter the main timeline physically. However, he was able to send small portions of his immense power through wormholes.

Using this he would infect a weaker avatar, so to speak, and carry his mischievous deeds through them. By doing this, no matter how powerful Convenience was, she realized she could never truly get rid of her dark side. But she was comfortable with his true power being at bay. Thus an era of pseudo-peace began; where humanity would soon evolve and adapt to what they are now. Throughout time the stories of werewolves and vampires, ghosts and monsters, even aliens; all true tales far from fiction. Simply humanity had succumbed to their ways over the centuries that they had lost belief in the supernatural.

Convenience became disappointed with the direction her children had headed toward. Wanting greater things for humanity and fearing they had lost their true meaning. She decided to interfere for once. She directed her divine power onto the Earth. Causing humans to once more unlock their latent potential. Opening their minds beyond the limitations they had set for themselves. She fell back, but one man would be the Catalyst for a new human era; and three names would be the center of the experience.

Chapter 2- Martin Callan

-Modern Times, Year 1997-

In Long Island; Martin Callan lived, a talented scientist and soon to be the proud father of three children. He was very happy with his life. He even named his children before birth. An easy to excite and interest man. He also lived with his pregnant wife Karie Callan. His life was what most called the American dream. Unfortunately, most dreams come with a rude awakening. His entire life was about to take on far more meaning than he could ever know.

A man of African American descent, raised by Christian parents; he often found himself in hard spots scientifically. But never one he couldn't think his way out of. His wife was of Hawaiian descent. Their relationship was always close but recently strained. He was so quick to get into an idea. His field of work often took control of him.

He was often one to put what he deemed the greater good before his own wellbeing. This usually worked out in his favor. But never in the favor of those around him. It eventually began causing him to constantly argue with his wife. He would constantly disappear for days. But this was simply because his job had recently piled onto his workload.

"Honey where are you going?" Karie asked one night as Martin walked through the kitchen out towards the front door.

"They need me in the lab tonight sweetie. I promise I'll be back early tonight." Martin smiled as he turned to walk and hug his wife.

"Martin, it's already ten o'clock, in what world are you getting back early?!" Karie yelled as she pushed him off of her body.

"The hell is wrong with you? I paid for this entire house. Check after check goes into the rent and soon check after check is going into the kids too. I'm doing this for us!" Martin exclaimed angrily.

Suddenly Karie slapped Martin hard shocking him. There was a piercing second of silence.

"Don't raise your voice at me. You're an idiot Martin. Your wife is pregnant and you can't so much as take an hour to stay out of work and help her!" Karie began to tear up as she yelled.

Martin, breathing heavily and angrily, took a deep breath and turned around.

"I love you, but tonight you can help yourself." he said walking out the door.

"Martin, don't you dare walk away from me this time! Martin, I'm gonna fucking kill you, Martin!" Karie cried loudly, all the while Martin kept walking, but he suddenly stopped as a sharp noise hit his ear.

The sounds of Karie's crying suddenly amplified and echoed across Martin's brain. This brought him a massive headache as he was brought to his knees. Martin suddenly had a flash, a vision of sorts as he fell to the ground his eyes rolled back in his head.

He saw a woman made of light. She spoke his name toward him.

"Martin, you will be the start of my new world. Martin, you are the catalyst. Martin, you are the end. Martin, Martin, Martin." the female voice continued eventually becoming distorted to the point where it faded into Karie's voice.

"Martin, are you okay?!" Karie shook her husband as he snapped back conscious wheezing frantically to breathe air.

"I'm...I'm fine. I have to go. I have to finish my project." he huffed as he stood up immediately to hop in his car.

"You can't be serious. You need a hospital you just passed out on the side-y'know what? Just go Martin, get the fuck out of here. Pass out on the highway, thanks." Karie said walking off.

Martin looked on slightly offended but altogether he shook it off. He had a quick flashback to the woman of light and shook his head. He opened his car door and hopped in. Pausing to himself for a moment as if he was considering staying, he quickly shifted his gears and drove off abandoning the trance of thought. As far as he was concerned he was looking at the bigger picture.

He was on the verge of perfecting a medicine that would make people immune to getting any sort of disease. If they already had it would eventually cure the body over time, improving the health of humanity as a whole. He had started this project long before he had his children. He felt to quit now would be a waste of years of effort. Even for his wife, and he was doing it for her. Simply trying to keep their life good. He had been working and doing many tests, each one slightly closer to success than the last. But only recently, feeling he was getting closer did he alert his place of work.

This was possibly his first mistake, giving himself such a taxing and stress-inducing time limit. Maybe that plus a lack of any sleep in the past two days finally made him snap. He thought maybe the vision might have been a daydream. He brushed it aside being a man of science. He had no time to lose his mind. His experiment was running thin on time and he was running out of ideas.

Perhaps it was his approach to the issue. His study was an area of animal genetics, he believed the abilities of these wild creatures was the true solution to all disease and famine. He had been a genius with an IQ of three hundred and ten; since his college days. All of his experiments had earned him high trust and respect in his field. However, this project challenged him more than any in his past. It was beginning to truly seem impossible.

His higher-ups were becoming restless and the excitement for his experiment wore thinner and thinner with each added failure. He had taken up drinking, something he never did before but recently, it was a needed change to him. His wife often stated his changes were making her feel like a stranger. But at this point, the stress had worn on Martin to a point where he had given up. The relationship became more violent as Martin became a liar. Hiding his business and whereabouts from his wife.

One night in a drunken haze he blacked out again. He had another vision. This time it was some sort of costumed man. He was only seen from behind but Martin could make out a massive V on his back. Suddenly there was a bright flash then thousands, possibly millions of skeletons surrounded Martin. And the V still stood all that remained.

Martin regained consciousness to find he had been robbed in the bar during his trip. His visions were becoming more frequent, and he was becoming more stressed. He dreamt of flying women, and vigilantes saving innocents. He dreamt of monsters, magic, and demons. It wouldn't stop, it had to mean something.

Then his children were born, January 1998; triplets but born just minutes apart. They were named Marcus, Chase, and Chris Callan. Martin was in debt, his lab work taking up more money than he could make. It would be a miracle if he could feed three more mouths. This was far from the biggest of Martin's concerns. His wife finally snapped scolding him viscously for his failures as a husband and worker. Him spending nearly more time with the experiments than he did with his family. She wanted a divorce.

He had worked for a company known as Young Industries. Company advisors were wary of him exhausting their resources on the experiments. It seemed the task was always missing a variable. However, he was always able to take a step closer allowing him to keep his pay and position. At this rate, the next big screw up would mean no income at all.

However, right on the verge of his relationship ending and his company firing him, he had found it; perhaps at least the best version of whatever "it" was. It was a few months after the birth of his children, Mid-April. He had created a chemical that when digested would make the immune system operate to the max capacity. Effectively making the person immune to disease. Even chemical or radiation exposure may still affect but won't kill the person as the body will slowly heal and expel the foreign organisms from itself.

He happily convinced his wife to stay stating his lab days were behind him. He promised her a better richer life with their family. He thought everything would truly be okay. For a while they were. The company was so impressed they granted him a check for mass production. It finally seemed he was going to end his story happily.

However, after a company meeting, his boss brought a terrifying realization to his eyes. You could turn a human into a lab monkey without the risk of killing them. He convinced Martin to turn it into a pill format to make it easily digestible. At first out of fear of losing his job for rejecting his boss, Martin completed the task. Though not long after, he realized his wrongdoings and hid the fact.

As a scientist, he was taught to do anything for the pursuit of knowledge and to better his fellow man. But testing on any living being always struck a nerve. With the threat of human testing, it became a much larger issue. He had very well may have torn down the fundamentals of his very own ideology.

His visions stopped ever since his children were born. It's almost as if they brought him a special moment of peace. Despite his shortcomings, he and Karie were amazing parents who loved their newborns more than anything. It seemed at least one part of his life was looking up, almost.

Not long after Martin felt the effects of his subconscious thought eating away at him. While walking through the living room the morning after; another night sleepless. He left the pills he had synthesized on a shelf at his house. However, he didn't look as he placed them and they fell directly onto the floor while his children were crawling around playing with their toys. His still infant kids saw the bottle and got inside consuming the pills.

Martin got home in the afternoon and he found his kids had eaten the pills, much to the shock and anger of his wife who had found them before they ingested too much. After a heated argument where his wife officially decided to get a divorce; a worried and broken Martin convinced his wife to let him rest the children himself. He took his children to his lab at work immediately to make sure they were healthy.

He had only found the pills just did what they were made to do no chemical could affect them. A small sample of their blood was altered but not destroyed by poisons. And over time the poison was no longer detected. It's as if the body slowly rejects any toxin put into it. But Martin saw this as more terrible than anything if his boss found out he feared he would try to test on the children, so he acted out of terror and put the results from testing his children in a locked drawer at work.

During that night he did drink, unfortunately. Which to his dismay lead him to blackout in his office. He had another vision. A gravestone with his last name but no first name and a portal opening above it to reveal a demonic creature. It had two different faces held together by razor-sharp rows of endless teeth. Inside its sideways mouth were several hooked tentacles. A body of pure darkness that would make an average man feel blind. It reached through the portal with its mouth tentacles. It was so gut-wrenchingly terrifying it snapped Martin awake. Martin, sweating, quickly realized he was still with his children and noticed security lights under the doorways. He swiftly rushed out before any problems could ensue.

Unbeknownst to Martin, the thought to be locked drawer was not so. In a drunken haze and frenzy to escape before anyone noticed his intentions. He forgot to lock the drawer and even left his office door cracked. He rushed home showing his wife the results. But she was exhausted by her husband's antics. She no longer had any effort to give him. They agreed to make the divorce work and live in peace.

Meanwhile back at the lab Martin's boss Alden noticed his office door open. Given an awkward vibe from the fact that Martin's office was open after hours Alden entered.

"Martin, Martin are you actually working this late?" Alden inquired to no response.

All he saw was the empty desk and several scattered papers over the floor. Some wet with stains from Martin's drinking others ripped to shreds from drunken rage. He noticed the faint smell of liquor and came to a shocking realization. All the year's Martin worked for him, he never drank. Something must've been wrong.

"Martin, I'm hoping for the best." Alden said feeling worried for his colleague.

He then noticed something else. A drawer on Martin's desk open. Normally Alden was the last person to go through his employee's work. But this drew him close. The entire scene at the moment felt wrong. His stomach turned at the thought of having to sneak through his employee's work. However, he found himself opening the drawer still.

Inside he found a few simple files. He read the labels, convincing himself he was going over notes for the project Martin was on. A mere pen drop made him nearly jump out of his skin.

"No that's it, this is wrong." Alden said putting the folder onto the desk but immediately he picked it back up.

"But then again, it's in the higher-ups' best interest I know all about this project." Alden stated opening the folder.

Alden was confused at first but his expression turned from one of inquiry to that of utter shock and awe. He had managed to open Martin's children's test files. Reading about their immunization and the test results while accidental, being successful. Martin realized the notes were dated from yesterday. Meaning Spencer was hiding the information that the medicine was a success. He read the notes and saw Martin had deemed the test "inhumane treatment". Feeling lied to and mislead by his own worker Alden decided to give Martin a special visit.

The next day(a Sunday) on what was in Martin's mind an uncomfortable weekend; his boss Alden came to his house for dinner that afternoon, also to congratulate him for accomplishing so much at work. He carried a suitcase with him, with some rather incriminating evidence. However, his demeanor was aggressive. Almost purely resentful in fact towards Martin. The three all sit on the couch in the living room, the triplets in the upstairs room sleeping. But despite the calm and beneficial setting, Martin was nervous. The thought of his boss finding out these secrets. It wasn't a vision of joy.

They began dinner in the kitchen, all sitting together at a large rectangular table. The tension was so intense that Martin was actually starting to sweat.

"Martin I must congratulate you. You've truly stepped up in your work. Granted there's always room for improvement." Alden paused for a second that felt long enough for Martin to realize he was talking about the project.

"I can't wait to start the next phase of the project. Hopefully, we find a way to test the results safely." Martin urged.

"Sometimes the pursuit of knowledge leads to danger Martin. I want you to understand, sometimes when you close the door on what you hate. You close the door on what others need." Alden stated with an eerie grit in his voice.

Martin dropped his fork he was eating with slamming it into the plate.

"Y'know what, what we're doing. What we're trying to do, is morally wrong." Martin exclaimed with a defensive bass in his voice

"*Pft*, morally wrong Martin? Is this not morally wrong anyway? Isn't this everything you stand for? You act as you stand for peace, equality, and fairness. But you're a man of science like me. You know right from wrong!"

Martin was about to retort but his heart stopped racing as he came to a raging conclusion.

"You crazy bastard, you know?" Martin inquired.

"Drinking isn't your style Martin. You left vital files in the open and you kept vital information from me." Alden stated with a calmer demeanor of his own.

"What were you doing in my office you fucking lunatic." Martin said as he walked across the kitchen toward Alden.

Both came to stand face to face Alden sadistically grinning.

"Callan, what are you doing with those hidden files? Were you going to hide them from me Martin? I knew, I saw it in your eyes the day I asked you to synthesize the pills." Alden said angrily showing the files to Martin as he took them out of his suitcase throwing them onto the table.

"Listen, sir, I think you should go for now. Clearly, you and Martin have personal issues." Karie tried to calm the situation sensing an escalation arrival.

She walked over to Alden's side of the table and put her hand on Alden's shoulder. Alden quickly pushed her aside.

"Get off me woman! Men are talking, your husband is the lowest of slime. A thief and a liar, I can't imagine why I trusted you." Alden said.

"Oh my God, Martin why-" Martin cut off his wife as he punched Alden in the face.

"Don't ever touch her again! Why would I ever give someone like you the medicine? So you can test on innocents and the lower class? So you can test on my children?!" Martin wrestled with Alden choking his boss as he punched him dragged him across the floor into a cabinet.

Alden however quickly kicked Martin off of him and stood up beginning to choke Martin while he was on the ground.

"You're hindering business with emotions Martin. Think of the money, the problems would all just go away. Your wife, I heard her yelling. I know that feeling it's one of the most annoying feelings in the world. But not when your rich Martin. Any woman, anything, anything Martin. You'd be a hero in your work. But you chose to be garbage." Alden replied as he turned the tides and punched Martin repeatedly gaining the upper hand.

It was in this moment Martin had yet another flash forward. He saw three boys with strange costumes. Their faces were shielded by a bright light. Which began to grow brighter along with the female voice again.

"Martin, you will see greatness come onto our world. Thank you, Martin."

But then suddenly it all faded as Martin's wife hit Alden in the head with a glass. Alden, bleeding and cursing but not down tackled Martin's wife and punched her, knocking her unconscious.

"Ahhh, you fucking bitch! You stay out of this!" Alden angrily snapped.

But right as he stood up Martin, who regained himself, hit him in the head with a pan. Knocking Alden to the ground in pain as he winced.

"I don't want to be a hero. I want to be a father and husband. I don't even want to work with you anymore." Martin says in disgust at his boss's words as he walked away.

"Martin, don't say that." Alden said with sorrow in his voice.

"I'm sorry. I quit." Martin replied.

"No really, don't say that."

There was a clicking sound. As Martin turned once more to see a gun in Alden's hand. Alden was bleeding badly but still standing. He touched the bloody gashes and wounds on the back of his head and laughed.

"When you applied for this job. You didn't know what you were signing up for Martin. And I'm sorry because I was never allowed to tell you. But business comes before friendship."

"What are you gonna do. Kill me? All these years, and you kill me over an experiment." Martin replied.

"Believe me when I say it's not my choice. It's bigger than me and you Martin, far bigger." Alden stated.

"What are you even talking about? You don't know what you're gonna start, Alden. I've worked for the company for 9 years. I've never met these higher-ups. Everyone has to go through you. So tell me, who am I really working for?"

"You're working for the U.S. Government Martin, you idiot. We're not curing diseases, we're making test dummies. Every biological lab is in one way or another. They want soldiers Martin, soldiers that can combat a new kind of threat."

"A new threat, like what? Wait, the flashes...I see." Martin stated.

"What, the flashes? Oh Martin, you think I've changed but you've gone insane. Your children have been mutated, your relationship is failing, your in debt to the company whether you stay or go. I think I'm about to do you a favor."

"A favor, a fucking favor?! Listen here you prick. I'll love my children and wife from the grave. You can do what you want to me. Just know evil like you, always gets what's...coming." Martin paused as he began to chuckle a bit.

The realization had finally hit him. All these flashes weren't because he lost it. Nor because of his stress and issues. They were letting him know everything was going to be okay. Everything was going to be fine because he left the answer for the rest of humanity.

"Laughing now, are we? Accepting your fate, or have you officially snapped." Alden laughed as he took a few steps coming arm's length from Martin.

He pressed the cold steel of his gun against Martin's stomach.

"Neither, you've snapped. I'm accepting your fate. Whatever you do today, is going to determine exactly what's comi-" Martin was stopped as the first shot rang out.

He quickly flashed in and out of reality as his heart raced. He saw them, everything. He saw Alden's child growing up. He saw his children growing up. He saw his children standing bravely against thousands of dark shadows and creatures. Then he snapped back one final time and smiled. He leaned forward hugging Alden much to his boss's shock.

"I see now...do what you need...one day you'll see too...brother." Martin coughed up a small bit of blood uttering his last words.

"You'll see exactly how wrong you are." he whimpered as he fell to the ground gasping for his life.

"Martin, do you know why you and I are considered geniuses? It's because we're never wrong." Alden whispered in Martin's ear as Martin smiled and laughed.

There were two more gunshots and a deafening silence as it rained outside.

"You would've been a great father and husband. I should know, I was one as well." Alden said taking a deep breath attempting to get rid of the deep he felt.

Alden then took the children and ran outside driving away from the area. Later the cops found Martin and his wife dead. His 3 children missing with no trace of whoever committed the crime. Within the time Alden had the children, he hid and raised them while he also ran tests on them. Most of which successful albeit causing pain to the children, the medicine they ingested made sure they would live regardless.

Eventually, he began to bond with them as they became attached to the only person they were allowed to see. Which made the next few experiments all the more painful. A greater experiment was required for Alden's higher-ups. A secret government agency known as The Veil. Attempting to make the next step in human breeding. Superior genetics, the children were the perfect test subjects as any effects would be temporary, but they would also be on a much greater scale than simply drinking a few different agents and taking pills.

The experiment was with specific animal DNA injected into the bloodstream of each of them. The DNA was taken from the bone marrow of both living and extinct creature subjects. Land-based DNA for Chris, prehistoric DNA for Marcus, and the DNA of aquatic marine life for Chase. This was a project they had known as the Bestiary Index Initiative. Which would supposedly give humans the benefits of animals, regeneration, disease immunization, slowed aging, and so on. But as he saw how the experiments ran on them, as he saw how much pain they were caused constantly begging for Alden to stop, he did. He had to, he finally learned none of this was right.

However, the experiments had been run so deep into their genetics it was no longer temporary. It became a seemingly permanent mutation. The medicine once ingested; seemingly completely overridden by the injection of too many foreign elements. It only took for the three brothers to reach the age of 5 before Martin tells them not to use their powers anymore. Alden had come to the realization he's not only made the children monsters, but he's also become one and he's working for them.

Alden quits, goes missing, and moves to New York City with the children. He even went so far as to brainwash them suppressing the memory that they ever had powers. Also destroying all data on the "B.I.I." Experiments and erasing his own records. Unfortunately, this made him a wanted man. He stayed in hiding raising the children as well as he could. When they reached the age of 14 he left them alone with all his retirement money and left his company to his son.

He told his son to protect them, as one day they would protect him. Then made sure the company will mail the house every month a check so the kids can support themselves. With their father figure gone they grew closer than ever, learning and protecting each other as brothers would.

Veil found a wondering Alden, executing him for treason. Alden threatened to have the vital information of the Veil's existence released onto the internet on one condition. The children were to stay alive. He had told his son the information needed. If the children were hurt. The Veil would be exposed. The conditions were met at the cost of Alden's death. To remain on the safe side in case Alden's threat lingered within the company, Veil severed all ties with Young Industries. Eventually down the line doing business with another company called Victorious Experiments.

Chapter 3- The Powers Given

The year was now 2017. In High School, the brothers are in 12th grade, Senior Year. Marcus is about 6"0, with light brown skin color. He's kind of slim but very skilled in various areas such as sewing, cooking, sports, and even instruments and is 17. Chris is about 5"9 and more sturdily built. He was dark skin, with long dreads, muscular, and more athletic compared to his brothers.

He is 17 years old as well. He is high in self-confidence and quick to fight. While there were few things he did like outside of having fun, basketball, and chilling with his brothers; he did always secretly admire police work. Last but not least was the brother Chase also dark-skinned, he stood 5"7 and fairly skinny with a toned figure. He was the oldest recently turning 18. He'd often attempt to rub it in his brother's face.

However his brothers were only born days apart, so the effect was lost. He was more of an intellectual often keeping his grades up to an A and nothing less. Mainly he was a technological wizard he loved robotics, computers, engineering all of what he considered "nerd stuff". Although when it came down to it he would put a book down anytime to play a game of ball or chill with his brothers.

The brothers were born the week after the next in the same month of June. They lived in Brooklyn in an open area not too far off from the outskirts of the main city of Manhattan. Somewhere people normally wouldn't associate with the busy area itself and neighborhood activity was very low. Everything was normal in high school until all of a sudden strange occurrences begin to happen.

Not that the world at hand was average. For in this world good and evil had taken form in heroes and villains. The world had seen in recent decades an uprising of beings with abilities. Abilities that tested the laws of physics and nature. Some of these beings would give back. Using their abilities to help the masses.

Some were taken by the change. Made into hungry madmen who craved destruction. Most hid their abilities as some were captured by unknown forces. Their fates are unknown to the public. The issue was in its infant stages. Only recently becoming more apparent. The brothers had never suspected they'd fall into this bracket.

One day though, it all started. With Marcus Callan that is. An afternoon after school, Marcus had got out of basketball practice with Chris and said he had to go to the bathroom while Chris went back to the locker room to grab his stuff. In the hallway Marcus finds four bullies bothering a smaller kid. They were taking money out of his bag while two other boys sat on his back and head.

"He makes comfy seat!" one guy said.

"I might have to bring the guy on a school trip as a neck pillow!" the other said laughing.

"Hey, leave the kid alone. Are you guys so poor you can't afford pillows? Or are you just starving and need lunch money? I can definitely help." Marcus said crossing his arms.

One of the bullies looks at Marcus and laughs. He stood up and walked over to Marcus standing just slightly taller and more brawny with scruffy black hair.

"Uh, you're Marcus, right? My name is Terry. Respect the moves in your game. But mind your business, thanks." he said turning around.

Marcus walked forward stopping the bully and grabbing his shoulder.

"Look bro, I don't want no beef with no one. I'm just saying-"

"Take your hand off me." Terry said pushing Marcus back into a locker.

Marcus stumbled back into the locker door causing it to dent a bit. At that moment he hit his head and something briefly snapped within him. He could see flashes of himself in a massive tube being exposed to toxic gases and coughing up blood. Then he flashed inside his own conscious. It appeared as an empty dark room where a massive wall stood and behind the walls could be heard animalistic growls.

Marcus had no idea what was happening. But in the real world, he was unconscious. He walked towards the wall it had massive cracks in it. A few holes as well. Through the holes, Marcus saw the silhouette of what appeared to be massive spiked, toothed, and winged creatures. One made eye contact with him and as crazy as it felt; Marcus was drawn to them.

He stepped closer, breathing heavily as he peaked into the hole. The moment his hand made contact with the walls the room began shaking. A massive green reptilian eye gazed back. A roar was heard as the creature rushed for Marcus. Marcus stumbled and fell back onto his bottom, crawling backward away from the creature. It's clawed arm making it through the small hole, but it's body(though sounding massive upon impact)did not.

Immediately the entire wall began to crumble as Marcus stood up and ran. Managing to barely outrun the massive disaster. Unfortunately, when he stood from the smoke and rubble he saw something that made him strangely not scared. Instead, it snapped him awake, revitalizing him with new energy. In the real world, it had only been four seconds.

"I'm sorry Mark. I told ya to mind your business. Then you got all aggressive." Terry said shrugging.

"It was self-defense, no hard feelings." another one of the bullies chimed in as the group began to laugh. During the distraction, the nerd ran away.

However before anyone could react, Marcus jumped off the floor growling. He grabbed the locker, ripping off the entire door and tossing it at the bullies. They barely managed to stumble and fall out of the way just in time. Terry was at first surprised, utterly dumbfounded.

"What, h-how did you-" Terry quickly changed to an expression of anger.

"Wait a minute, you tried to kill me! I thought you didn't want any beef?" Terry exclaimed angrily as he walked up to an also surprised Marcus.

Marcus looked at his hands shocked at his sudden feat of strength. Okay, maybe it wasn't too special. The locker was already broken from him landing on it. He probably got a momentary adrenaline rush when he hit his head. But the feeling he felt when he snapped. He felt wild and yet invincible.

"No wait, it was just an outburst. I wanna make peace seriously. No one has to get hurt." Marcus said standing and backing away from the four.

Suddenly he felt a shock in his chest as if his ribcage was breaking. Marcus momentarily leaned over gripping his chest in pain. But suddenly the same pain spreads to his whole body as he realizes something is wrong. He can't fight feeling unstable right now.

"You tried could've taken someone's head off idiot. Talk time is over." one of Terry's friends states as he swings at Marcus who narrowly dodges. Marcus breaks into a small sprint not being able to fully run in pain.

"Wait...p-please let's be grown about this guy's!" Marcus says dashing around the corner realizing his voice was changing.

As Marcus ran he looked down to see his hand had taken a scale texture and was a greenish-brown. More notably he had claws where his fingernails would be. He tried to fight it, but whatever happened in his mind. It unleashed something within him. Something he couldn't fight, not in this situation.

"Get back here freak! We're gonna do you just like that locker when we catch you!" one of the bullies exclaims.

Marcus walked out of the exit into the school's garbage storage area. A small field in the back of the building with dumpsters and bags of garbage obscuring most of the view inside the gated area. Best of all, no cameras. There was nowhere to run because they're all gated in and the gate is locked. The fact of the matter was Marcus hadn't come to run. He came to fight without getting suspended.

He quickly looked at his hand which he hid in his pocket and it appeared to be normal. The pain also subsided seemingly. For Marcus, this couldn't be any better. Four on one wasn't exactly the best odds. But at least now he could defend himself properly. His adrenaline had only increased. He was actually feeling kind of ravenous for a fight at the moment.

Marcus had a good track record for not fighting but realized there wasn't much of a choice. He and his brothers had gotten into their fair share. Though they preferred not being the ones to fight. They usually had numbers, but this time Marcus was alone. One of Terry's friends closes the door behind them and puts a wooden plank under the nob so it doesn't open. Marcus starts the fight and lands a few good hits on each guy despite mostly being jumped. He was showing he's actually an adequate fighter.

He follows immediately knocking Terry to the ground with a single punch and a smile. The bully fell back into a few trash bags his nose broken and leaking with blood.

"Ahh, fuck, kill this bastard!" Terry slurred angrily wincing in pain.

Marcus was attacked by another student who hopped onto his back putting him into a headlock. Marcus fell back upon the ground. Then resorted to elbowing the bully and forcing him to loosen his grip.

The third bully however kicks Marcus square in the temple causing him to briefly in a second flash into a memory. He envisions himself as a child hooked up to wires in a chamber, crying and in very vivid pain. Snapping back, he is swiftly overpowered by the four of them as they begin to stomp on his body with no mercy.

This triggers a shock of fury to his head. His adrenaline rushes and a primal urge is unlocked in him. Marcus screams in pain as he flashes back to further memories and his body seemingly mutates. He quickly grabs the leg of one of the bullies and swings his body around like a ragdoll. Using the body as a makeshift club to clear the area of his enemies.

His eyes change to that of a lizard as scales appear on his body. All the while he visions scientists watching and documenting his pain. Scales envelop his skin and grow over his clothing. His teeth turn razor-sharp and he develops claws. Gradually throughout his transformation, Marcus's vocals turn to the screech of a Velociraptor.

"What-the-hell." Terry stutters as he and his crew slowly back away from the terrifying sight of Marcus as his horrible transformation completes.

Now fully dinosaur, the Velociraptor Marcus screeches with a blood-lusting roar. His mind however is still Marcus albeit feeling purely on the fighting spectrum of his defense system. More terrifyingly to Marcus, as much as he tried to resist. He fully had pleasure in the thought of being able to rip his attackers to shreds.

The Raptor Marcus swiftly slapped Terry aside with his tail. The other three immediately tried to run, scrambling off the floor like rodents. It's too late though as the Raptor hops in front of the door. He then whips one of the bullies in the face sending him flying into his friend. The final one is backing away but he trips onto his back.

"No, no, please! I can't die today, please!" the bully yells in horror as Marcus ignores and walks past the fallen enemy.

He stops in front of Terry, his snarling maw dripping saliva onto the bully's face. With enough pressure to slam his skull into the ground and make him dizzy; Marcus presses his clawed foot down on Terry's head. Leaning down Marcus slowly claws Terry's face causing it to leak a bit of blood. All the while Terry cries in horror.

Marcus opened his massive jaws over the bully's head prepared to tear the head off. Suddenly though he backs away, snapping his mouth shut with a whimper. It seemed almost in fear of something. He runs over the gate of the area and out of sight. The bullies scramble to their feet and run out the door.

Halfway home, Marcus terrifies bystanders as he sprints in his dino form. Quickly he dashes off into the unknown. Meanwhile, Marcus also begins to think to himself.

"This is impossible, what am I? I'm some kind of monster. I wanna be human again!" Marcus thought as his mind raced from thoughts of his actions to his brother's reactions and Spencer.

He'd surely be put in a freak house. But as his emotions returned to normal, so did his body. Marcus began to turn back to normal. His eyes turned back to their normal brown color as he felt his body shifting. His tail disappearing, his claws retracting, and his face shrinking. He realized his humanity had to be the key.

"Yes, yes that's the stuff!" Marcus cheered to himself as he thought more of his brothers.

His school friends and those he considered family. All things he considered ties to his human side. Finally, he was normal again. His vision blurry and his body aching he immediately falls unconscious onto the ground. He wakes up hours later and immediately runs to the house and see's Chris and Chase worried on the couch. They run and scold their brother asking if he's okay.

"Mark, you fucking dumbass! What the fuck happened? Are you alright? You were gone for like 5 hours!" Chris asked seeing his brother shaking and clearly traumatized.

"I don't know. I think-" Marcus's face was covering pure shock.

He stopped mid-sentence and began to grab his head and groan in pain.

"Woah, let's get you up onto the couch and get the door closed." Chase said.

They did just that and then continued the conversation. Chase and Chris both worried about the explanation to come.

"Well, I know for a fact y'all not gonna believe it. But I turned into a dinosaur." Marcus said with an unsure, cringe smile on his face.

At first, both Chris and Chase have a shocked look on their face, but Chris stands up and begins to walk away shaking his head.

"Wait, I'm not kidding I did, I felt it, I felt the changes it hurt. I...it happened!"

Marcus exclaimed jumping to stand up with a serious look on his face. Chase sighing leaves out the room as well. Enraged, Marcus simply sighs and sits back. Maybe he hit his head a little too hard. Maybe the bullies beat him and left him in the alley. He got angrier as he thought there was no way he dreamt of such a vivid moment. This was real.

That same night was a full moon. Chris had been completely hypnotized by its glow. He had been at the window for hours. And his brother had begun to get creeped out. Eventually, Chase got annoyed and walked up to the window, waving his hand in Chris's face.

"Hey bro, you good? Been staring outside for like an hour and some change. It's kinda-" Chase touched Chris who turned around and snapped at Chase, growling like a dog.

He had physically grown fangs and claws. His nose was that of a wolf and his face was covered in fur.

"See, this is exactly what I am talking about! I'm not crazy he's turning into a wolf, right?" said Marcus pointing frantically at Chris snarling.

"Not the time to joke around! This is serious, Chris I need you to stay calm." Chase remarked in terror as Chris transformed from man to beast.

"How the hell, can I stay calm?!" said Chris as he began to turn more wolf-like much to his pain and displeasure as he tried to fight it.

Hunched over on all fours, Chris eventually turned into a full-on wolf. He quickly lunged at Marcus. Chase however tackled the wolf into a wall. Chris quickly turned the tables and got on top, snapping at Chase.

"Chris, dammit, Chris can you hear me?! Whatever this is, is not you! Come on you can fight this!" Chase says holding off his wolf form brother.

Chris brought his jaws down on Chase's arm causing him to react in shock. Summoning strength he didn't even know, Chase flung the wolf formed Chris across the room. Chris flew through a couch splitting it in two. Everyone was relatively shocked at the strength displayed. Chris was down for the count. He turned back to human form as a result of his unconscious. At that moment the heaviest realization hit.

"Oh God, is this some sort of cycle? Am I next, I don't wanna be a freak." Chase said his voice trembling a bit with fear.

"Seems a bit late for that bro." said Marcus reluctantly.

"Fuck, look I don't know what we are. Not why, when, or how... but I do know this one thing. We must keep this secret at all cost; we cannot tell anyone. This...this changes everything." said Chase.

--June 22nd, 2017-- Manhattan Memorial High-- 9:25 AM--

The next day at school they all went to their separate classes. The whole day each brother struggles to keep their power secret. Chris finds himself heavily enraged since his first shift. Randomly having visions of slaughtering people. The animal side of his brain is attempting to take power. He fights it throughout the day as his brothers text him. Keeping him grounded throughout the experience.

Between classes, Chase goes to the water fountain finding himself incredibly thirsty. He then finds himself feeling horrible. As if he had eaten a mouthful of sand. His entire body felt hot. He walks into the closest room. The room however turns out to be the swimming pool. Almost seduced to the water. He begins walking towards it. Finding himself craving the sensation. He tries to fight realizing his time has come.

He sees that his left arm is developing suction cups and screams. But quickly clasps his right hand over his mouth. Just then someone comes into the room. The janitor hearing a noise comes in examining the pool. Chase, his heart racing, jumps into the pool sinking to the bottom. His left arm has turned full tentacle.

Chase however refuses to be in a helpless situation. Meanwhile, the Janitor comes closer and looks into the pool. He sees water bubbles and then see's Chase's head pop up. Luckily Chase had beat back the transformation before the Janitor could see him.

"Sup." Chase said with a fake smile.

"Hey...you good?" the Janitor said with a confused look nodding.

"Yeah, just a little dehydrated. Needed a swim." Chase smiled back awkwardly.

"Uh, okay...teenagers." the man whispered walking away, much to Chase's relief.

Meanwhile during gym Marcus and Chris are in the locker room. A guy pushes Marcus into Chris, causing the two to slam into a locker.

"Yo, watch where you're walking, shit." said Chris says as he turns.

"Eat ass, freaks." the guy said walking away.

Marcus then realized it was one of Terry's friends. He hadn't seen Terry since the accident. Of course, they knew his secret. It seemed no one believed them. However, the next look on Chris was a look that his cousin predict what was about to happen.  Chris took a step but was grabbed by Marcus.

"He's not worth it Chris, it's just not worth the trouble." Marcus said as the two stood up and walked off.

"Are you sure he's not even a little worth it?" said Chris as they walked away.

Marcus just sighed and chuckled.

"When school is out we can hang each of them in a tree by their shirt." Marcus smiled, patting his brother on the back.

At the end of the day, school was out and the stress was gone. A rather difficult day but more or less they were feeling better.

"Well that was awful." said Chase.

"Eh, I kinda feel reinvigorated. Like, the first transformation awoke something. I thought I wouldn't be able to control it but..." Marcus shrugged not sure where to go.

"Our mental and physical states are stabilizing. Whatever genetic mutation we have. It must've been dormant until now. Now that we've tapped into it once more. Our bodies have acclimated." Chase explained.

"Uh, so, basically we're getting used to it now?" Marcus asked.

"Not entirely, we may need more tests ran." Chase responded.

"Honestly, I have a massive headache. I don't know about you guys, I need a nap th-" but Chris's sentence was cut short when a car beeped loudly in the street.

As he noticed a female biker was about to be hit. Time itself  came to a slight crawl around Chris. He realized he had the power, more even the speed, to help. Chris dashed toward the biker and pulled her out of the way along with her bike.

"What the, how did you do that?" said the woman shocked by Chris's speed.

"It's...uh, nothing really. I just act fast I guess." Chris said putting down the bicycle.

He began backing away back to his brothers. The woman looked on confused walking toward Chris.

"Well thanks, but you're just gonna walk away? Can I at least get a name?" the lady said.

A smile appeared on Chris's face as he prepared to talk.

"Oh, well. I'm-" Chris was cut off as Chase pulled him away from the girl and began walking in the opposite direction.

"That was without a doubt exactly what I was talking about. Why did you do that Chris? " Chase asked.

"She was gonna get hit." Chris protested as the brothers continued to walk home.

"Listen we have powers, this is real life, not a cartoon people won't be as calm when they find out we're walking around." Chase said.

"Yea, and if he did just stand there guess what that lady might have died." Marcus said.

"Well, I'm not saying that it's a bad thing to use your powers to help it's just we're not policemen or cops or heroes, we're high school students and therefore need to maintain a normal life." Chase said.

"What do you mean?! We've been blessed with otherworldly abilities. It has to be for something greater." Marcus exclaimed.

"We don't have any incentive to do anything greater with whatever this is! We're already not normal, we're pampered rich kids as is. I just want shit to calm down!" Chase replied.

"So we need an incentive to do what's right?! Just because we're blessed at birth with money and now we have power? Good people get things for a reason, Chase. I just think we should try to see what that is." Marcus replied.

"Guys, calm down we've had a long day. I think we just need to take a step back from the situation and think." Chris said stepping in between the two.

"What do you know Fido?" Marcus scoffed.

Chris took a deep breath and rolled his eyes. Ignoring the insult, he spoke.

"Marcus, if you could find a way for us to go out and help people I'd be grateful. After all, I've always wanted to be a police officer." Chris said then turning to Chase.

"As for you, we should focus our normal lives. That doesn't mean we can't help people at the same time. I think we don't have to go around the world spreading peace and love. But we can't do nothing while we have the power." Chris said.

Both Marcus and Chase stared at Chris.

"That's quite a good point. Want a biscuit?" Marcus joked.

"Alright, that's it, you and me let's go." Chris uttered, chasing after Marcus who ran down the block laughing while Chase grinned slightly.

Over the next few weeks, Marcus stayed cooped up in his room working on suits, sewing them together. Ordering various materials and items to the house. He spent hours coming up with a good group name. After many a long night spent in the basement after school; he had finally finished the suits.

For Marcus's suit it was orange spandex with yellow boots. Lighter orange lines were going from the center of the neck down the torso and the legs. For Chase, it was the same thing in Dark blue, with light blue lines and sky blue boots. Finally, for Chris, it was a red costume with black lines and green boots.

Each member also had a mask with shades attached to it that were the same color as the boots on the costume. As for the gloves they were the same color as the boots. It only covered everything down to the dorsum of their nose. This left the rest of the nose, the mouth, and cheeks exposed as well as the chin. Each member also had a letter on their chest. For Chris, it was an L. For Marcus a P and Chase an O.

"Brothers assemble in my room, I finished our costumes!" Marcus exclaimed.

"Assemble? Must be pretty confident in the designs to use that word." Chris said.

Once the brothers got in Marcus' room they were kind of surprised to see how hard Marcus worked on the costumes. They were the perfect size for each of them. Even with slight padding for protection.

"I got to say, Marcus. I'm digging my costume...your costume...Chris's? Which one is mine?" Chase asked.

"The blue one. You know since you can turn into fish and stuff. The red one is Chris's and the orange one is mine." Marcus explained.

"I like the shades. They look so...cool." Chris said admiring his suit.

"So, our group name is the C.Squad. Took me a while but--" Marcus was suddenly interrupted by Chase.

"What exactly does the C stand for?" he asked.

"Oh, it's for creature, y'know because we can turn into different creatures." Marcus said.

"Why not Animal or Beast Squad?" Chris asked.

"Seemed cliche for some reason, wanted to go a different route." Marcus shrugged.

"Ah, I see. So what are our hero names?" Chase asked.

"Oh, well as you may see, the letters on your chest represent your hero alias. L is for Land Man, M is for The Marine, and F for The Fossil." Marcus explained.

"Land Man, I don't think I'm too into that name. How about you turn it into a W. We don't take L's. Yeah, I'm thinking the Wild Man sounds better." Chris said.

"Suit yourself, I'll change it in a few hours. But your gonna have to wear the prototype for now. " Marcus said.

"Ugh, fine." Chris said taking his suit down.

"Alright get on your suits guys it's time to take a test run." Marcus said.

"Uhh, Marcus it's a little late." Chase said nervously.

"It's 7:00, after school bro. When the hell did that become late?" Marcus said.

"I could go for a run. Besides who'll know it's us? We have costumes, masks, animal shapeshifting powers. Every possible way to avoid being caught." Chris said.

"I, you can't...fine." Chase said finally caving in.

So the three siblings got suited up and went to the rooftop of their house. The idea was suggested by Chris.

"Okay, why did you want us up here?" Chase asked Chris.

"I'm practicing my Parkour. I wanna see what I can do with my new powers." Chris said.

"So you wanna jump off a roof. Eh, I'm not gonna bother with this one." Chase said.

"Yet, you're still here." Chris smirked.

He then took a few steps back. With a running start, he jumped over to the next roof beside the house. His feet leaving the ground causing pieces of the roof tile to crack. He landed on the next roof with a roll. Standing up and shouting in victory.

"Hell yeah! That was like a 10-foot gap between houses!" Chris exclaimed in excitement.

"I wanna try, watch out!" Marcus said.

He turned to see the road in front of the brother's house. Thinking to make his stunt a bit riskier.

"Don't even try it, Marcus." Chase said.

"Well, only one way to find out!" Marcus yelled as he ran and jumped.

He nearly made a 30-foot jump. It was only the last 3 feet he missed. At the last moment when it seemed he'd go splat on the sidewalk, he began transforming. His arms grew bony yet longer. His face grew into a long beak, the back of his head extended as well. A leathery skin covered him as he got much bigger and finally sprouted wings. Just then he was lifted into the air by the wind force. Marcus easily maneuvered himself back into the sky. Flying higher and higher with joy.

"Holy crap, I can fly, wooo!" the new pterodactyl form of Marcus yelled.

Chase stood up in awe of his brother's form.

"Oh shit, that's awesome!" Chase yelled as he watched Marcus soar.

Marcus flew over a few houses looking down. Soon he let himself fall. He began aiming downward back towards the roof of their house which Chase was still standing on.

"Do you think he's coming in a little fast?" Chase said.

"Yep, I think he's trying to play a game of Chicken." Chris smiled.

"Oh, I'm not one to scare easily." Chase said crossing his arms and staring at Marcus.

"You're scared of spiders." Chris said.

"Everybody hates Spiders Chr-" Chase paused for a while, as he looked to see Marcus still coming.

Marcus transformed back to normal in mid-air landing right next to Chase. Chase unprepared, stumbled back a bit. Marcus tried to grab his brother, but Chase fell off the roof. He fell right onto the metal fence around their house, breaking it.

"Fuck, my arm!" Chase screamed as he stood upon the ground.

The two other brothers jumped off the roof to land next to Chase. A metal rod had gone right through his arm. He writhed in agony for a minute, holding in his screams.

"Oh my god. We gotta get you inside." Marcus said nearly throwing up.

"Maybe, get the pole outta my fu-, forget it. I'll do it myself." Chase said as he grabbed the pole.

Using his super strength he began to rip it slowly out of the ground and out of his arm. He winced a bit, a tear coming from his eye as he finally got it loose. Revealing the huge hole now left in his arm, bleeding slowly.

"You're not even bleeding that bad. We must be durable." Chris said crouching down to Chase's arm.

"Wait, a minute."

Much to his shock Chase's wound began healing. The blood lessened and the massive wound closed faster and faster. It became a smaller cut, then eventually nothing. All that was left of evidence was a hole in the costume fabric and a few bloodstains.

Chase breathing frantically was the first to speak on it.

"Okay...so that just happened. I guess I can heal." he said.

Chapter 4- Business Is Business

--New York City, 2PM--

On a busy block in the city. There's an electronics store displaying a banner atop reading "VeraBuy". Several phones and televisions visible through the window. A particular TV was playing ads on the screen. A commercial opens with a middle-aged man standing in front of a building. The man is tall, pale-skinned, with long black hair. Well dressed in a silver suit. But a rather healthy build for a man in his line of work. He began talking.

His voice is rather light and smooth. An annoying tone of condescension; yet still not someone to be messed with. He ruled his domain. He was a leading intellect in the world of genetics and weaponry. Only bested by the number one leading futurist company. Young Industries his largest rival. The commercial played forth, with the man walking around his building.

"At Victory Experiments, we pride ourselves in success. Not that we always prevail, but instead because even our mistakes are counted victories. Remember failures a mystery, when you go with victory. " the man stopped and smiled as the tv cut to black.

Meanwhile at the actual Victory Experiments building; the owner himself Vikter Torin sat in his office. He was watching the commercial, playing on a small laptop. A flash drive was inserted, with a strange Y-shaped logo. Sitting upon a velvet matt atop his black desk. His office was large and colorful in areas, only two tones.

Red walls, a glass clear roof, and black tile floor. A large fused V and E on the wall behind him. The logo for his company. The vivid image of plants and paintings and statues gave him intimidating energy. Similar to a wolf in their den. He sat behind his desk with a slightly forced grin.

"My smile at the end...a bit lackluster, but it'll do for now. The public loves a charismatic billionaire." Vikter said.

"Sorry to cut your review short. But it would appear someone here to see you, Sir." Vikter's Co-Owner, Lewis said as he opened the door.

Lewis had nearly been with the company as long as Vikter himself. He was a frail man, glasses, a striped green and yellow button-down shirt with green slacks, and brown dress shoes to match. His glasses sealed off a lowly assistant look, with a demeanor to match. His hair extremely messy and ungroomed despite him, in general, seeming a clean man.

Walking in behind Lewis was the chief of the rivaling company Spencer Alden Young. He was the current owner of Young Industries. The companies rivalry is so famously known. Young Industries had been in the lead for the past 4 years, Victory Experiments following close behind. However still behind nonetheless.

"Alden! How nice to see you. To what do I owe the pleasure of--"

"Don't you start feeding me crap Vikter! You know exactly why I'm here!" Spencer burst out in rage.

Vikter sat in silence for a few seconds then began to speak again.

"Lewis you can take a break. Close the door, I'll deal with this." Lewis nodded and left. Spencer immediately scolded Vikter.

"This morning I walked into my office and found an employee of mine hacking into my files! While being interrogated I found it was you who paid him." Spencer said pointing at Torin.

"Get yourself together, remove your hand from the area. I have no idea what you're-" Vikter was taken aback by Spencer's following outburst.

"I know you've been at this for months. I've torn through all my databases and found all of your malware. It's over Vikter, give me what you stole!" Spencer exclaimed banging his fists on the desk in rage.

Vikter sat back slowly, his hands clasped together as he grinned. Looking Spencer directly in the eyes with a sharp stare to counter Spencer's.

"Well, it just seemed suspicious. How do you come up with these flawless ideas? It's as if you have someone doing it for you." Vikter slapped his hands onto the desk. Leaning a bit closer to Spencer.

"Wait, according to one of the files I...*ahem* borrowed from your custody. It's your son helping you, correct? Kind of sad the junior is smarter than you, eh Spencer?" Vikter said leaning back confidently.

He began laughing and stood up to walk around his desk and stare Spencer in the face. Spencer stood straight walking closer. Vikter stood slightly taller smiling, but Spencer had no intimidation in his eyes.

"You had no right. End this or I will." Spencer demanded as glared back.

Vikter walked back around to his desk. Taking the flash drive out and throwing it towards Spencer who caught it.

"Take it I'm full on one serving. I have dessert coming soon." Vikter said smiling.

"Mother fucker, you-" Spencer stopped realizing Vikter was distracting him. More thieves were in his servers right now. He raised his fist to punch Vikter.

"Injure me on my premises and my security is liable to injure you back. In self-defense of course. Do you have time to deal with those issues Alden?" Vikter smiled maniacally.

"Fuck You!" Spencer said.

Spencer quickly took out his phone and rushed out of the office. Lewis smiling as he walked past down the corridor towards the elevator. Spencer took his phone out of his pocket. Calling his main building where he ordered a shutdown.

"Hello, security this is Spencer. Do not let ANYONE leave out the building until I get back!" Spencer exclaimed.

At the Young Industries facility, his Security Guards pulled an alarm. One guard who was fairly old for the line of duty yelled out.

"Attention all employees, staff, and customers inside the building. We have special orders from our boss not to let anyone exit until he returns! Until then please sit tight." he said from a speaker system on his desk.

It was far too late though. Two men had already broken into Spencer's office. A big man who was at least 6"5, stood at the door. Whispering for his much smaller cohort inside the room; who was downloading Spencer's files onto a flash drive.

"Hurry the hell up!" the large man urged.

A few bodyguards shot dead onto the floor. A ghastly scene had been created.

The two sported special silver armor and helmets, a familiar V on the chest. Large rifle like guns on their back. The armor had several scuffs and scratches. Showing the guards' weapons to be practically useless.

"And...done. Quick let's go Gii." the smaller man said.

"I know the perfect way outta this dump Rips." the larger man laughed.

They swiftly made their exit. Unfortunately, a security guard scanning the hall caught them.

"Hey, you two stop right there!" the guard said aiming for them. He let loose a few automatic rounds.

The bullets ricochet off the armor. Shocked that they did not affect the criminals, the guard drops his gun in terror.

Gii quickly pulled his gun and unleashed laser fire. The force blasting a small hole in the man's chest. They went down the steps using a grapple rope to go through a gap in the middle. Running through crowd terrified of people in the lobby. The security began closing in. Surrounding Gii and Rips, not knowing what was to come. Alarms went off throughout the building.

The two began opening fire, as a mini-war broke out. The guards all in disbelief as they attacked. One by one falling to the enemy regardless. Soon they retreated, the rest running and taking cover. With an opening Gii and Rips made a break for the door. Which was now gated.

"Fall back, let them go! There are too many casualties!" one of the security yelled at two other officers guarding the door.

But they were simply knocked out of the way by Gii; who shot the first guard. The second guard was frozen in fear. His bullets having no effect as Gii tackled him into the gate. Rips flipped a nob on his gun. As it hummed with energy. Letting loose a blast strong enough to burst the gate open.

The two thieves ran around the corner. Hopping into their car driving off quickly as possible. The police arriving only to see the smoldering hole in the entrance.

"Dammit!" one cop exclaimed from the window of his car.

"See, easy money. They never stood a chance." Rips said as the two made their getaway.

"So let's get this back to Vikter I know a shortcut." Gii said.

--Lower Manhattan, 9:08pm--

Meanwhile the three brothers Chris, Marcus, and Chase. They talked about their new abilities and responsibilities walking thru the temporarily closed down road.

"So what should we do, just ignore the problems we could be solving right now?" Chris asked.

"That's not what I'm saying. But we should be careful. The world could react any way to us. If we're gonna use these powers we have to be smart." Chase said.

"You sure we can handle this? If we can have these abilities; who else could have them? Possibly even something worse?" Marcus asked.

"It's always been the three of us against the world. I doubt this would be that big of a change. Anything that comes our way, I'm sure we can handle it. Like a team and like brothers." Chris said.

The brothers smiled and Chris punched Chase on the shoulder softly. To which Chase replied by punching his brother back harder. Chris then delivered a punch so hard Chase flew back a few feet landing on his back.

"What the hell! What the actual burning demons in hell!" Chase said as he stood up walking towards angrily.

"My bad. You started it." Chris replied with a smile.

"You guys can beat the shit outta each other. I'm going to sleep." Marcus said sighing and turning to walk away from the two.

In the heat of their argument, neither of them noticed a car heading toward Chris. Marcus already too far away turned and saw the car heading at Chris.

Inside the car, the two men who had just stolen Young's files were driving.

"Dude, there are kids slow down!" the Rips said to Gii driving.

"It's only one in the middle. It'll teach him and his buddies a lesson. Make sure ya look both ways." Gii said with a twisted smile as he pressed harder on the gas.

"Chr-Land Man, look out!!!" Marcus yelled in shock!

Chris turned a second too late. Time slowed once more as his adrenaline began pumping. All three brothers stood in awe as Chris took the full impact of the car, flinging his arms forward in defense. Instead of flying back, Chris yelled intensely as the car began to slow down merely sliding back on the asphalt.

"What kinda demon freak!" Gii said in disbelief he shifted gears and pressed the gas down fully but to barely any effect.

He slid back a bit more into the asphalt of the road as the car engine began maxing itself out and smoking against Chris's apparent monstrous strength. But that wasn't all. Yelling in rage, Chris began(much to everyone's awe) to lift the car into the air. He then slammed it back down with such force the tires flattened and the windows shattered.

Chris stood there for a few seconds, shocked at his feat. Gii and Rips in the car both equally shocked.

"Now just to be clear. You guys both saw that?" Chris said looking at Chase then Marcus.

Both brothers simply nodded. Chris looked at the two men. Balling up his fist he walked around and ripped the door off the hinges.

"So, you didn't see the guy on the road. You coulda hurt me man. What if I had kids or something?" Chris exclaimed with a slight smirk.

He was masking his shock; putting on a slightly serious face for intimidation. The criminals did not respond simply terrified of what they witnessed.

"Uh, bro I asked a question. You hit me, what if I was a regular guy." Chris exclaimed. He gripped the car roof as the metal bent.

Too busy putting on a show to notice Rips, sweating in fear, pulling a pistol from the glove compartment. Quickly then Rips pointed the gun at Chris as Gii smiled.

"Now, listen here ya little freakazoid." Gii said.

"Who the fuck says freakazoid?" Marcus said.

"Shut up! Your gonna crawl back to whatever crazy place or whatever crazy hole you freaks came from and..." Gii was interrupted.

All of a sudden the other door was ripped off by Chase who grabbed Rips. This unfortunately startled the Rips who pulled the trigger. The bullet flew right past Gii who flinched and at Chris. However, the bullet bounced off his skin. Much to the shock of Gii and the pleasure of Chris.

"Oh...oh shit!" Chris stopped panicking noticing he didn't feel any pain and looked at the hole in his suit.

He realized the bullet had flattened against him. It stung for a second, but the bullet hadn't even made a scratch. The animal DNA embedded in them had given them heightened durability.

"Okay...um. You guys do know you're done for right." Chris said nonchalantly dusting himself off.

Gii immediately put his hands up. Pleading for the heroes to let him go.

"Hey man. Just leave me be! I'll give back everything. I can't do jail again!" Gii cried.

"Wow, that's crazy bro. I don't remember asking." Chris replied with a smile as he chuckled and knocked Gii out.

Lower Manhattan, Police Station

It looked like a normal day outside. The officers were in front of the building enjoying the peace and talking. Without warning, several people looked up wide-eyed and screaming. A few even running away but most pulling out cameras to record. A Pterodactyl was flying overhead carrying two men in its clawed feet.

The winged creature swooped close to the ground. Dropping the two men onto the steps in front of the police station. Then much to everyone's shock transformed into a costumed man and landed gracefully onto the steps, it was Marcus. The police immediately scrambling to aim their guns. Then another voice came from overhead.

"Relax, we just dropped off two criminals. " Chris's voice rang as he jumped down from the police station roof.

His landing force creating a few cracks in the ground. The police, who were noticeably terrified, pointed their guns at him.

"Put your hands in the air now!" one of them said.

"I hope this isn't a race thing." Marcus said as he shook his head in disappointment.

Chris listened and put his hands up. But Chase dropped down, yanking the gun right out of the cop's hand. He tossed it miles away. To the point, only the three could see it.

"Dude, nice throw." Marcus said slightly surprised.

"That things gotta be halfway across the city." another officer said in the background.

Chris put his hands down and shrugged. He then continued to explain himself.

"Excuse me officer with all due respect. I have the evidence-" Chris explained.

"Shut up! You're coming with us for interrogation!" one of the cops said.

"Why is everyone telling me to shut up today?" Chris exclaimed becoming annoyed.

Chris went to take another step but was shot at. He dodged the bullet immediately. Shaking his head he then turned to walk away.

"Stop or I will shoot!" the officer said.

"I don't think that'd make much of a difference." Marcus said as he and Chase joined.

"Shut up! You have five seconds! Stop where you are or else!" the policeman exclaimed his hands shaking.

The three didn't listen. The officer pulled the trigger. The bullet flew at Chris and he smiled. It hit the back of his leg and flattened against his skin. The officers staring in awe.

"I'm not surprised. After today I'm just not surprised at all. Some people are slow and I respect that." Chris said laughing.

"What-what the hell are you?" the officer said.

"Smarter than the New York Police Department, that's for sure." Chris said.

"Come on bro, we're wasting our time here." Chase added.

With that, the trio of brothers blasted off. Running down the road with great speed. Jumping from car to car. Feeling satisfied with their first heroic deed. As they jumped from the cars. To the walls, climbing nimbly over the rooftops. The police prepared for pursuit. But noticed the note on the ground. It read

"The criminals left their car on 5th avenue. Lots of illegal weapons, you're welcome."~C. Squad

--Back Home--

"Think the note was a waste of time? They didn't seem to want our help." Chase said going through the cabinets in the kitchen for food.

The brothers had gotten out of their costumes and into their regular clothing. Chris was holding his costume looking at the bullet holes in the fabric.

"It's all right bro. I can fix that." Marcus ensured.

"It's not that...all this responsibility to protect the innocent. You sure we can handle it?" Chris asked.

"I mean if we don't, who else can handle it?" Chase said.

--June 23rd, 2017--Lower East

The brothers were on their way to school. They stopped in a store for breakfast. On a tv screen, the news played inside. On it a long-haired and dark-skinned news lady. This was Tasha Leemen was reporting. They seemingly caught the middle of the news.

"...can shapeshift into animals like dinosaurs." she said clearly referring to Marcus.

The corresponding brother smiling in confidence. The three continued to pay for their items and walk closer toward the television.

"The two criminals they turned in. Peter Kemith and Daniel Rodey known on the streets as Gii and Rips respectively; had a Victorious Experiments flash drive. We were able to get a limited description of what is on it. Top secret files from Young Industries unreleased products." she said as a picture of Young Industries building went up.

At this moment the brother's faces changed quickly. All they had found out was that the criminals were working for Vikter. They never knew what the job was.

"Now, because of this predicament Vikter Torin, founder of Victorious Experiments has arranged a public event. Spencer Young of Young Industries will attend. A clear attempt for peace between the two corporations. Stay tuned for more information. I'm Tasha Leeman, signing off." she said as the program ended.

"Spencer, they were stealing from Spencer. Guys we-" Marcus was cut off by Chase.

"Look, don't worry. We'll get around to it. Let's not talk about it in public." he said.

"Yeah, we're running late anyway. We gotta go." Chris said as he was the first to rush out the door.

Chase and Marcus following immediately behind. Suddenly though a man in a hoodie ran past Chris. Nearly knocking him down as he ran into the store.

"What the--yo--" Chris stopped as his enhanced sight kicked in. He saw from the man's hand positioning. Realizing in the man's jacket pocket was a gun. He let out a slight chuckle.

"You guys...go to school, I'll catch up. Imma break in the official suit." he said.

Chase and Marcus smirked as they shared a mental moment. They knew instantly what was happening.

Chase and Marcus walked away calmly. Chris looked around, ran into an alleyway, and took off his clothes to reveal his complete costume underneath. Tossing his book bag onto a fire escape. He put on his mask and took a deep breath. A feeling of righteousness sweeping through.

Meanwhile in the store, the man with the jacket walked around observing things. It took a while but the Shopkeeper finally asked.

"Are you looking for anything specific?"

The jacketed man replied with a frown and pointed his gun at the shopkeeper.

"Yeah, I can't seem to find your money section." the thief replied.

Just then Wild Man came in the door. Slowly walking toward the criminal. The thief pointed his gun at Chris.

"That was a horrible line. I bet you spent all day coming up with it. I'm gonna let it slide though." Chris said as he continued walking till the gun was pressed against his chest.

"You should put that down before you get hurt." Chris's smile faded as he stared the criminal down.

"D-do you want to die? I will shoot and put a hole in you!!" the thief exclaimed.

"Try me." Chris replied.

The thief fired a shot. It flattened against Wild Man's chest shocking the man. The suit undamaged as well, thanks to Chase's upgrades.

The last thing the criminal saw was Wild Man's fist before everything went dark. When the robber awoke he was in the back of a police car. Lying down with a massive headache. Awake he felt the pain and screamed as he realized his nose was broken.

Chris got to class and scattered to sit behind Marcus and Chase. Trying his hardest not to be noticed coming through the backdoor of the classroom.

"10 Minutes." the teacher said.

The teacher was just starting to take attendance. The students seemed confused.

"Hm, Chris you were 10 minutes late. Anything you'd like to share with the class?." he said.

"Uhhh--" Chris froze temporarily his mind scrambling for an excuse.

"Of course you don't. Now quiet, and pay attention. This kind of tardiness will not be tolerated again."

The lesson continued and Chris sighed in relief. Later that day Chase, Marcus, and Chris were eating at lunch.

"So whatever happened to Terry?" Chase asked.

"Oh, he got put into an Asylum apparently. He kept telling everyone I could turn into a dinosaur. Naturally, no one was having it." Marcus explained slightly cringing at the thought.

"Sheesh, what about his friends?" Chris asked.

"Guess they heard about Terry and decided they were better off quiet." Marcus stated.

"Hope he's okay though. He didn't deserve that. If I had control, I would've never gone so far." Marcus said.

In the NewState Asylum where Terry was locked away, he sat in his cell. Tied by a straight jacket. He shook back and forth singing to himself.

"I know Marcus's secret, he's gonna die I can see it." Terry sang repeatedly at the top of his lungs.

The guards banged on the door. Causing Terry to stop and lunge at the door head first knocking himself back.

"You wanna go Marcus? I'll beat your ass just watch! Just you fucking watch! I know your secret freak!"

The guard shook his head thinking Terry was far gone. When he was merely overcome with rage. He would escape one day. To get revenge on the one who destroyed his life.

--6PM, Later That Evening--

The public meeting between Vikter and Spencer's respective companies was officially in motion. A dangerous aura of hostility clouded the air. One could say the whole setup was a bad idea. But on who's end, was the mystery. Chase, Chris, and Marcus were all in attendance watching.

Chase is seemingly more stressed than his brothers. Gifted with great intelligence like his father before him; Chase was secretly tasked with assisting and even innovating new inventions for Spencer's company. An illegal practice due to Chase technically being a minor still. The meeting began with Vikter speaking first.

"I assure you, I would not attempt to steal from you Alden. I assure the public as well, a mere matter of fact. However, instead I have a different option, beneficial to both parties."

Spencer scoffed at the obvious lie. He continued to listen. Being professional in the situation. Vikter continued to talk.

"I've been thinking two of the biggest companies in the world should work together. Just think of the possibilities. We could revolutionize the world together!" Vikter then turned to the crowd.

The crowd clapped in response. They believed Vikter. Though Spencer could've called him out right then. Vikter would've called him out as well. Vikter knew Spencer's secret. He still didn't have to agree, simply let Vikter keep his info. But he thought to air on the side of caution. There are just as many ups to downs in this predicament. It was becoming hard to assess.

From his seat, Chase stared at Spencer. Accidentally locking eyes with Spencer who shook his head lightly no. From the stage setup, Vikter noticed. Marcus saw the stare off and elbowed Chase. Chase briefly looking furiously at Vikter before turning away. Vikter noted the young adults. But there was no time to question. He continued to talk.

"Well Spencer, the public is waiting. Would you like to accuse me further?" Vikter asked with an expression that filled Spencer with rage.

Finally, Spencer opened his mouth but just then a shot rang out. A bullet had gone straight through Vikter's shoulder. The crowd panicked and began scrambling to escape.

A group of at least a dozen men came into the area with guns. One was well dressed as he walked through the crowd with his light blue colored tuxedo, a crispy white tie, and grey long sleeve button-down underneath. For doing dirty work he was fairly clean. At least 6'2 he stood tall and intimidating. Messy unkempt blonde, yet graying hair flowed back down to his shoulders. He shot his gun in the air and spoke to the crowd.

"If you want to live you best get the hell outta here! Everyone clear the premises, except the millionaires." he said smiling at Vikter as Vikter looked on intensely. Showing an admirable amount of bravery.

Everyone listened and ran, including Chris, Marcus, and Chase. They prepared to get into costume. Spencer tried to leave but was stopped by one of the gunmen.

"Two rich and famous people, double the ransom. Your both gonna pay us big bucks or die right here." the man in the tuxedo said.

Just then the C.Squad dropped in distracting the man and his gunmen.

"Did you just say big bucks? What is the '40s?" Chase said.

"The C.Squad?!" the well-dressed man said.

"Oh, finally a criminal who watches the news!" Marcus exclaimed sarcastically.

"Now your turn. You people are who exactly?" Chris asked.

The man laughed and waved his left hand. All of the other gunmen pointed their guns at the C.Squad.

"Wow, trained lab rats I see. Very intimidating, super scary." Chase snarked.

"My name is Harold Sterling. Leader of The Safe." he replied.

"Oh, I get it. It's because you guys steal lots of money likely." Chase laughed.

"These clowns are the heroes? Just another couple of bullets to waste." Harold frowned and grazed his golden hair.

"Gun 'em down men, I want to see how many bullets they can take." he ordered.

In seconds the gunmen were opening fire. While Vikter and Spencer ducked for cover. The trio sprang into immediate action jumping into the air to avoid the oncoming barrage. Wild Man came down on one mans face knocking him out instantly with a punch.

He then proceeded to turn and face two men behind him and turn into a bear. Their bullets bounced off his skin. He easily swatted them aside. Turning to notice another group of gangsters hopping out of cars. Marine kicked one criminal in the chest and grabbed his arm swinging him into another man running at him. He punched one man so hard. He flew back knocking down a group.

The Fossil ripped a pole out of the ground and used it to knock down goon after goon. He flung it into a group of men in a spinning motion; knocking them all out of the way. Harold noticed his forces dwindling.

"Hm, not bad newbies. Not bad at all." he said as he turned to escape.

Marine headed for Harold. With swiftness, he hopped over the goons' heads. He transformed into an Octopus, aiming to land on Harold and capture him. However, Harold took out a small tube-like weapon and threw it at Marine. Instantly upon contact, it rocketed him back. Beginning to beep and hum loudly.

"Oh shi-" Chase couldn't even get his words out as it exploded.

Hurting Chase and taking out some more of Harold's men in the process. Chase back in human form stood up. Cracking his neck from the pain. He surprisingly leaving

"Well shit, that packed quite a punch." Chase smiled as he stood, brushing the rubble of his suit and cracking his knuckles as one of the remaining gunmen ran behind him.

The man tried to hit him with the gun. But Chris in bear form dropped the car on the man. Causing Chase to jump back in shock.

"Your driver is here." he said turning back to normal laughing.

"Talk about overkill, sheesh." Chase said turning back to the fight.

All of the men were down; unfortunately, Harold and the rest had escaped. The cop cars were heard in the distance so the Squad helped Vikter and Spencer up.

"You guys okay?" Marcus asked.

"I'm fine Vikter may need medical attention. Thank you...all of you." Spencer said feeling the three heroes familiar.

The three froze for a moment. Feeling as if they would expose themselves. But then Chris broke the silence. Hearing sirens in the distance with his superhearing.

"I can hear the cops arriving, they should be able to get Vikter treated in time."

There was a weird silence as the heroes, security, Spencer, and Vikter there for a brief moment.

"I don't really hear-" Spencer was stopped as the sirens were heard a second later.

Spencer wanted to question but chalked it down to the weirdness of today. The three quickly stood backing away from the two billionaires.

"It was nice doing business with you, sir." Chase said. The trio left just as the cops had arrived.

A few days after the meeting endeavor, the C.Squad became even more famous for rescuing national figures. Trending across the news and the world. Back in his office, Vikter threw a fit. He rolled around his chair almost childlike in a way. In an attempt to calm himself.

"God, dammit, my idea failed thanks to those stupid heroes! No...no, they're not heroes, they're nuisances. Some random idiots in spandex probably thinking this is all a game." Vikter said as his chair tipped over and he fell.

Lewis watched from his chair shaking his head in disappointment. Vikter seemed to have perpetually bad luck. He was never able to get the respect he felt he deserved. He never got it from his father. It showed that his childhood was one of high expectations. Still, Lewis owed the man a lot and had high respect for his boss.

"Well, sir at least one good thing happened to you." Lewis said.

"What is that?" Vikter said in a mocking tone as he stood off of the floor.

"We have the enhancer serum plans we managed to steal from Young Industries. We've already started production and should have the testing ready for next week." Lewis stated.

"A week? The heist barely happened a month ago." Vikter stated in surprise.

"Well, Spencer's men had most of the work complete. Our scientist made a few tweaks, but overall not much work had to be done." Lewis responded.

"Hm, that's good. I could hold an announcement for this and make up for the otherwise unsatisfactory failure I previously had." Vikter smiled.

"Exactly, this could put you back at the top sir." Lewis replied.

"Yes, it could. Thank you Lewis. Alert the staff to arrange the announcement. Really get the word out. Let's drive those bastards out of business." Vikter ordered.

"I'll get right to it boss." Lewis said as he left the room, leaving Vikter alone smiling as he thought to himself.

Vikter knew he took a loss. But had far more plans to his end. Spencer was one small obstacle. The first he deemed he needed to destroy before he moved to greater things.

Chapter 5- The Ballad of Vikter

--June 16th, 2017--2PM Times Square--

On the day of the announcement, several hundred people showed up in person. Unfortunately nowhere near as many as last time. Vikter held the announcement outside as usual with most of his announcements. There was dense security, almost blockading the perimeter.

Spencer was watching from home sitting on the couch drinking a beer. He was disgusted that people were still supporting the man. Vikter was once a friend. Years ago if Vikter offered a merger, Spencer may have accepted. But as time went by Vikter was corrupted by money and power.

The two have helped each other in the past. But at this point, Spencer didn't care. Vikter was beyond a lost cause and on top of it a thief. If he wanted the serum he could have it at this point.

"And he does have it." Spencer said in rage at himself, throwing the bottle at his tv shattering the screen.

"Hello, citizens of New York! Including those of you fine ladies and gents watching at home. You all know me as Vikter. Recently, I was accused of theft." Vikter was silenced by the boo of the masses.

He loathed the crowd in his mind for a slight second. He hadn't realized his approval dropped significantly. He let his smile slip for a second. Quickly he regained his composure to continue.

"I want to let you know these accusations are false. Allow me to be the man you know me to be. A man who strives for a better future." Vikter stopped as the noise lowered.

"I am announcing, the next step in evolution. Regardless we have The Victory Solution!" Vikter exclaimed as he waved the crowd's attention to a huge display screen behind him.

The screen displayed the Victory Experiments logo. Showing concept images of the serum and the planned effects on a human subject. The display showed the serum being injected into a CGI animated human figure. Lying on what appeared to be a hospital bed.

Afterward getting up and performing basic movements such as walking, bending knees and jumping, and then even dancing for a short period. Everyone in the crowd joined in and chuckled a bit.

"Hmph, yes, we like to have fun here. The Victory Serum will enhance any normal man's ability to its fullest extent. Anyone who has any severe health problems will be cured. For my senior citizens out there you will feel and be able to move as if you were still twenty. Early tests for this project will begin in a week or so and we plan to have it ready for public use by next mo--" Vikter stopped when a large boom noise was heard as if an explosion had just occurred.

"Not again, what is it this time?" Vikter thought to himself in fury

--Meanwhile Outside, 20 Minutes Ago---

The C.Squad was patrolling the area. Making sure the Safe wasn't planning another attack. Thinking Vikter was a target. The people below were cheering, as the C.Squad traveled from rooftop to rooftop. They discussed how dangerous the gang might be.

"We have to stay around the perimeter. I doubt The Safe is a one and done type of gang." Chase said.

"Vikter rubs me the wrong way, we should be watching Spencer." Marcus said.

"Spencer is safe, on a mandated quarantine in a remote location." Chase said.

They landed on a building in front of a highway. Coming to rest as Chase continued.

"Besides, we're here for The Safe. Not Vikter, he's just the bait. More or less."

It was then the group heard a woman scream. A child was down in the street. He ran from his mother and a bus was coming. Marcus was the first one to jump. Turning into his Pterodactyl form and flew at near blinding speed. Shattering the windows alongside the building as he flew down and upwards toward the child.

It appeared he would be too late. The bus was mere seconds from hitting. But the driver managed to hit the brakes. It wasn't enough as the bus was already full speed. It slid a bit, but it was exactly what Marcus needed. He swooped in saving the child at that moment.

"Hey bro, be careful next time. Don't wanna get hit by a car right?" Marcus said as he turned into human form.

The child and his mother both in shock as they embraced. The mother began to ball in tears.

"Thank you, thank you so much. I owe you everything!" she cried.

"I mean if anything get junior a leash?" Marcus chuckled.

The kid turned around. Walking up to Marcus, a bit shy to say the least.

"C-can I have your autograph?" the kid asked.

"I would but I gotta go and--" Marcus was stopped as Chris and Chase both walked up behind him, eyebrows raised.

"Okay, I get it. Got a pen and a paper?" Marcus said.

"Here, you can have all of our signatures," Chris said as he reached into his belt pouch.

The kid smiled as they signed a paper for him. As they did a metal clanking noise was heard. Chris was the first to react. He looked to the right and saw a grenade.

---Current Time--

"What the--" Chris stopped himself. Reacting quickly he grabbed the boy and his mother.

Jumping out of the way with Chase following. Marcus stayed grabbing the grenade and instantly taking off into the air back into pterodactyl with seamless transformation.

He wasn't fast enough to toss it before it exploded. He took the full force of the explosion, hurtling back to the ground in human form. His suit intact but slightly singed and steaming. Through the chaos in the roads below, where civilians and drivers alike stopped to observe and debris came down overhead a figure. A familiar face at that.

The leader of The Safe, Harold yet again. But he had on armor as well. The armor had specified grenades, on a belt around his chest. He held a small gun, that appeared a bit different. It didn't shoot bullets. He had an explosive launcher on his back as well. It was a display of power. The Squadron was intimidated.

"Did you just try to blow me up?! You could've killed a child you lunatic!" Chris exclaimed as he gestured for the mother and child to run. The mother hesitated for a second. A bit in shock before quickly grabbing her child and running.

"Are you dense, boy? I murdered family, friends, and innocents. It excites me, that's where the money comes in. Any more stupid questions?" Harold replied.

"No, we can skip to me kicking your ass now." Chris retorted.

"Oh really?" Harold said with a confident demeanor.

He put his index finger and thumb in his mouth and whistled. Men came out of the cars parked along the street. They were all heavily armed. With rocket launchers, bombs, and automatic guns. The civilians began to panic. Some running away, others driving off and some simply taking cover in nearby buildings.

"So which one of y'all doing the ass-kickin' again?" Harold said.

"Still me!" Chris growled running towards Harold as he jumped in the air.

Instinctively Harold replied by shooting grenades at Chris. Which Chris dodged by turning into an Eagle and flying higher into the air. However, a rocket hit him from one of the other goons. The rocket exploded against his side. Chris went flying into a nearby store destroying an entire aisle shelf.

Fossil roared as he turned into a T-Rex using his tail to knock some men away from him. He saw Chris getting injured and in rage stomped toward the man. The rooftop goons let loose hellfire. Attempting to overwhelm the Squadron with sheer numbers. But their suits alone were too stubborn to damage. They were becoming more resistant as well.

Being injured so many times, their animal DNA developed a harder exoskeleton. As they conquered more challenges they adapted. They were only just learning the limits of their power. As the brothers closed the distance between them and Harold. They expertly dodged lethal weapons. Allowing their suits to take any plain bullets to conserve stamina.

"I'll help Wild Man, you get the big bad." Marcus said to Chase as he jumped into the air.

Transforming into a Pterodactyl he flew across the battlefield. Knocking men into the distance. Using his claws to toss cars across the road. Knocking several goons away at once. He turned into a raptor. As he got closer to a group surrounding a Gorilla shifted Chris. Some of the group noted Marcus coming.

They turned to face and attack. But it was to no avail. Swiftly dodging shots Marcus delivered precise slashes. Cutting off arms and slashing legs. He tossed one goon at Chris who grabbed his face smashing it into the ground. Then Chris turned to backhand one man so hard he knocked down two more.

Chase meanwhile was dodging shots from Harold. The maniac ran down the block. Shooting to keep his distance from Chase. Chase easily dodged the shots, leaping over Harold's head with great agility. Harold smiled and began shooting the small gun.

It was a highly advance superheated minigun. Basically might as well have been a laser gun. The sound of it loading up sounding like sizzling heat. Marine was pushed back as Harold let loose a barrage of red hot ammo. Slowly shredding Marine's suit and managing to hurt him badly. Chase was sent barreling back. He landed on his feet however standing once more to fight.

"What's the matter, fish boy. Too hot for ya, should I turn down the heat?!" Harold said as his other henchmen caught up.

They began to seemingly overwhelm Marine, who was forced to his knees. Harold was laughing triumphantly. He was going to shoot a few more shots, hoping to finish off the hero.

But Harold made a mistake letting his guard down. Wild Man dashed out and tackled Harold through a bus stop seating area and into a brick wall.

Fossil transformed into Pterodactyl form, flying into the sky. He shifted into the form of a Brontosaurus. As he landed a ground-shaking shockwave was sent for a couple of feet. Knocking away all the remaining ground enemies. He turned back to human and helped up his brother. Who was bloody and his costume was in pieces. Nearly a whole section of his upper face showing.

"Damn, we should go. Your mask-" Marcus was stopped by Chase.

"I'll be fine." Marine as his brother helped him stand.

Chase stood healing from his injuries and pressing a button on his belt area that caused his mask to organically grow back slowly covering his face once more.

"What the hell?" Marcus looked on in confusion and awe.

"A new plant-based technology I'm working on. Each of us has one extra mask. In the event of an identity crisis. You guys should pay attention more." Chase frowned.

"Ha, good one, not a chance." Marcus chuckled.

Meanwhile, Harold was able to withstand the onslaught thanks to his armor. He rolled out of the rubble, as Chris landed in the area.  Attempting to crush him. Shooting the roof above Chris to return the favor. Chris caught the rubble tossing it at the villain.

Harold blew it up, then aimed his launcher again. It was out of ammo, in that second. Chris noted the opening. Harold reached for a grenade on his belt. But in a gesture of his arm, Chris closed the gap. Grabbing Harold's wrist and twisting it to his agony.

"Hehehe, you...pack a wallop child. You and your friends are...respected in my streets. But don't...don't think this means you've won." Harold said with a smile.

He unhooked his armor chest plate. Revealing bombs under his jacket, enough to annihilate a good portion of the area. The detonator on the index finger of his glove. He could simply press it with his thumb, as he readied to use it.

"You wouldn't." Wild Man said, squeezing Harold's other wrist harder as a cracking sound was heard.

"You...think I wouldn't kid? You're not ready for this war...not yet. Frankly, you might die trying honestly." Harold said admiring the hero's determination.

"But you'll die today. I think I might survive the explosion." Chris retorted hoping to intimidate the enemy.

"But you won't dare boy! There are innocents around and police coming. You kill me, I kill a thousand or more! Not just me, but my men detonate too." Harold smiled not only calling Chris's bluff. But terrifying the hero with his display of murderous intent.

Chris was new to this still. The interrogation wasn't exactly his forte. Chris growled enraged, he had lost. He pushed Harold back as the criminal stumbled a bit and caught himself. Harold held his wrist, it was broken. He scoffed and looked at Chris staring intensely.

"The Safe is a near hundred-year-old organization. You could never stop us as we are now. Our roots are deep in the criminal underground. As long as one member remains, New York is ours." Harold said.

"Shut the hell up." Chris said clenching his fists.

Marcus and Chase had caught up, exhausted and pissed off. Chris raised his hand. Explaining that they couldn't attack Harold. They instantly all felt the same sense of frustration.

"Look at you few, tired and worn out already. Put me away, a bounty is on your heads real quick. You wanna stop me all messy like. Leave all my loose ends untied. At least do it the right way." Harold smiled as he walked directly past the group.

Keeping his finger close to the detonator at all times. Then almost as if he had planned it; an escape van pulled in front of the damaged building. Harold got in waving goodbye, as it drove off. The Squadron was helpless to do anything but look on.

They kept Vikter's event safe at least. Preventing yet another disaster. At the end of the day, they won because they did what was right. But more importantly, they gained more experience.

"We drove him away at least. He knows we mean business too. I think we have a chance." Chase said.

"Maybe, what he said about a The Safe. We might be in a little over our heads." Marcus replied.

"We were in over our heads the moment we decided to fight crime. We're hundreds of people's best hope at peace. No turning back now." Chris stated.

Never before has more truth been spoken. The Squadron had started a train. Later that afternoon the police examined the crime. The entire block and beyond torn asunder. Marcus's shockwave took down many enemies. But caused an unprecedented amount of collateral damage.

Shattered bones, fractured skulls, and blood, an unnerving amount. Bullets littered innocents, unlucky enough to get caught in the crossfire. Some bodies were injured in the process of the brawl. The Squadron are heroes with an agenda no doubt. But their inexperience left high powers worried about their outings.

Jim Yard, Chief of the Police was present at the time. He was on the older side. With a black and slight grey streaked beard and mustache. Short black curly hair with grey streaks running through and blue eyes. He had a muscular yet weighted build. You could tell age took a bit of a toll on his physical prowess. However, none of this stopped Jim Yard from being one of the greatest police officers that the force has ever known.

Unknown to his team he was secretly retired superhero Severe. Originally living in Chicago working for a special division of the police task force. He was far more adept as a protector than any average policemen. However, he retired due to losing his family in a horrible accident he recalls as a gas leak killing his children causing his wife to leave him. Though this is far from the truth.

He examined the area and the bodies of unconscious and unliving victims on the ground.

"This isn't like heroes. This seems more personal. These men were brutally beaten. Some even dead, it's..."

"Murderous, we have to put a stop to this vigilantism." another officer interjected angrily.

"Maybe, take note they are superhuman. Being threatened with firepower like this. I couldn't fathom the amount of fight or flight decisions you would have to make." Jim retorted knowing very well he might.

"Are you defending them? This is a direct violation of everything we do!" the officer yelled in a rage.

"I'm not defending anyone. These men have weapons the police force can't even access. If something or someone tries to kill you. Self-defense can always vary in damage. This goes for all sides, unfortunately, even us." Jim stated back sternly.

The officer was silent. Jim had to kill before. Several times as innocents and criminals alike fell in line. The Safe, The Law and numerous other evils.

"Do you think Harold was present?" a different officer asked.

"Of course, he probably escaped as usual, cunning bastard. But no more, because next time I'll bring him in myself." Jim said with an intense look.

--Victorious Industries, Vikter's Office 11PM--

Vikter was browsing the internet. What was trending, not his revolutionary announcement. But instead the C.Squad. Search engines, video streaming, and any format of social media. It was all the C.Squad. But there was one thing that sent him over the edge. A video that was trending was a conspiracy theorist, claiming Vikter to be a thief. It had been days and he just announced a life-changing project. Vikter closed his laptop and flung it to the ground. Seconds later Lewis walked in.

"Sir, I have jarring news. The testing with the primates. It's took an unexpected turn." Lewis said causing Vikter to jump to his feet in rage.

"What do you mean unexpected? We were just on track for an early press release!" Vikter said fuming with anger.

"We'll need more time to test it on them. I'll have more data by next month maybe mid-September even." Lewis replied calmly.

"What!? You said next week a few days ago!" Vikter exclaimed.

"Yes, but these side-effects started showing. I can't describe it, but...we've lost a man."

Vikter was taken a bit aback by the words. He went to reply, but Lewis raised his hand. Simultaneously, he pulled his phone out. Showing Vikter a video of the lab monkeys. Two in separate metal cages.

"Four weeks after the first test, the primates began showing signs of improvement. More stamina, speed, strength, and so forth." Lewis was stopped.

"So what exactly-" Vikter's attention was caught as the monkey screamed.

Bashing its arms against the gates with its body steaming. The gate was shattered by its strength. As it launched at an unsuspecting lab worker. The man struggled as bullets shot at the monkey. Only serving to make the creature more enraged. As the man had his skull crushed.

Then his body flung across the room. The monkey screamed a few more times, flinging itself across the room. Then suddenly falling and combusting. The camera had been splattered with blood and the video ended thusly. Vikter was speechless. Not a phrase could describe his level of disbelief.

"I'm not sure if it's just in the primates' DNA. Smaller animals die days after administration though. I'd rather not test it on larger animals." Lewis was cut off.

"Work on this path Lewis. I'm pouring more funding into this project. Did you see the raw power? Imagine a human test subject. Imagine what they'd be able to do." Vikter said not even hesitating to manifest an unnerving smile.

"You...you can't be serious. What human would even agree to such a radical experiment? It's unethical and probably illegal." Lewis exclaimed. Vikter bit his tongue briefly, immediately smiling once more.

"Test it on me then." Vikter stated. Lewis looked at him as if he insane. But quickly realized he was serious.

"Sir, you need a break. I understand your goals but we're far over budget already. The loss of profit and buyers from our last incidents alone. Any further money poured into this will ruin us." Lewis asked.

"Ruin me, let's face it. I'm the one the public hates. I'd have my most trustworthy man to take my place." Vikter stated, his tone rather depressing.

"Sir, this would be a suicide mission. Surely you want some time to think."

"Lewis, do this for me! I'm your boss." Vikter scowled. He pulled himself back attempting to remain peaceful.

If he didn't trust anyone in this world he could trust Lewis. It was a bridge he didn't want to burn. He knew soon his reputation would take irreparable damage. Lewis was terrified as he knew Vikter would rather die than that. Vikter always had a mad mind. This sudden blatant disregard for his well being. It was pure derangement.

Lewis felt this and was worried about the outcome. Juggling all the variables in his head. Regardless he placed trust in his boss. Vikter had the remainder of all contract funding used. Company profits and accounts diminished. Preparing the process took a few days.

There was a grueling nonstop effort from him, Lewis, and the workers. Vikter personally overseeing certain aspects to ensure his safety. When the day came Vikter was present and in a terrifyingly calm state.

The experiment took place down at a lower level of the building. Almost similar to a bunker. In the lab, Vikter was hooked up into a large tank-like machine. Needles were placed in his shoulders that would inject the serum. And he was strapped down against a table like platform and gagged with cotton to prevent him from shattering his teeth. He wore an oxygen mask to regulate breathing and a machine monitored his vitals from a distance in a smaller section of the room. Vikter stood straight and was lowered horizontally.

"Vikter, we can still stop this. Are you--" Lewis was cut off.

"I am absolutely positive. Do it, if this does not succeed then hopefully you'll be able to go right where I went wrong." Lewis sighed and nodded and pulled a lever to activate the injection. Slowly the serum began administering into Vikters bloodstream. Vikter began squirming a few seconds after.

"Aha, this isn't so bad. If anything it tickles." Vikter spoke laughing off a slight pain.

"Alright, vitals are good so far. Starting stage two." Lewis said as he pushed another button.

Shocks of electricity were sent through Victor's body. This was to speed up the process of fusion within his DNA. Vikter began to scream in pain immediately as he felt his body boil. The heat of the energy nearly overwhelming him. He shook uncontrollably as his veins began to show all over his body. Lewis reached for the power lever in terror.

"Dear God, Vikter we have to---"

"Don't....you dare!" Vikter grunted in rage and pain as Lewis relented.

Vikter regained himself as the shocks came to a halt. He shook for a bit more. Seemingly falling unconscious, his vitals active and stabilizing. The needles injected another chemical agent to nullify his immune system. Effectively preventing his body from rejecting the foreign entities. Hopefully also speeding up the bonding process. Finally, it was over as the process came to an end. The machine began to shut down. The tank opening to release Vikter.

"The procedure is complete. The serum is in your DNA." Lewis said checking the readings. The straps came off of Vikter on the platform.

Vikters eyes opened immediately. Noticing a new feeling as he stood on the floor. He took a few steps, looking around before speaking.

"I...I can't see." Vikter said, his voice trembling in fear.

Lewis's eyes widened as he rushed over to aid. However, Vikter noticed and held his hand up.

"Wait, it's coming back...it's all...yellow." Vikter stated.

His eyes glowed yellow and turned normal. Scaring Lewis who took a step back.

"Sir you need he--" Lewis was was interrupted as Vikter screamed in a fury smashing the steel lab table in two.

He went on a short rampage bashing jumping around the room. Bashing himself through walls and seemingly defying gravity for moments in the air. Before falling to the ground and curling into a ball. He grabbed his head coiling in pain. Within his mind, he battled the feeling.

The serum administration almost driving him to insanity. But luckily he mind was strong enough to overcome it. Lewis noticed Vikter regaining himself and approached. He helped his boss up as Vikter regained control.

"I'm sorry, for a second I nearly lost myself. This power I feel, it's almost too much. I've never felt so nimble and yet so heavy." Vikter stated as he walked over to a wall.

He delivered a massive punch, shattering a huge hole in a wall meant to withstand nuclear detonation. Lewis's eyes widened in fear, he had created a monster. Vikter laughed his hand unscathed as he jumped into the air floating briefly before coming down. He laughed more maniacally as he turned back toward Lewis.

"I've done it, Spencer wanted to cure humans. Hm, what waste we need order, not medicine." Vikter spoke as Lewis realized what he had done.

"Sir, what are you suggesting?" Lewis asked realizing it was too late to back out.

"We can rule Lewis, with my name power I could easily destroy those pesky heroes. Murder Spencer and become the powerful figure I was meant to be." Vikter said as he chuckled.

He walked past Lewis jumping into the air and smashing the machine. Destroying the source of his power. His raw brutality terrified Lewis even more. He had secretly hoped Vikter died or at the very least got injured in this process. He didn't want something like this running around. Alas, now there were consequences to face.

"Destroy all remaining files on this serum. We never speak of this experiment again. Also, prepare the press release. I'm planning to do my announcement. Albeit a few tweaks to it." Victor ordered as Lewis simply nodded, knowing better than to speak against Vikter now.

Vikter flexed his arm a bit. He would finally be able to show Spencer his superiority. But the Squadron would try to stop him. He wondered how his life got intertwined with the hero's endeavors. How they managed to show up and save Spencer in time. Then he remembered, his mind flashing back to the three boys staring at Spencer. He had written it off as innocents with no correlation.

He then remembered what the files he stole had said. The child who helped Spencer with his experiments.

"Lewis, the child in the files that helped Spencer. Did the files come with a name?"

"Uh, three actually. Chase, Marcus, and Chris Callan. Says the other two were unrelated to the project. Chase was slightly involved." Lewis explained as he realized what was happening. Vikter noted Lewis's expression and smiled beginning to chuckle.

"Sir, you don't think they-" Lewis was stopped as Vikters eyes glowed yellow in a rage.

"Who else could it be Lewis? A bunch of children are his bodyguards. They couldn't fathom the amount of damage they've caused to my image. The news reports of Gii and Rips capture in my hands. The fact they were fighting The Safe not far from my event! All because they are connected to Spencer!" Vikter exclaimed in fury.

"What are you going to do with this information though? You can't kill them, they're kids. Heroes in fact, that." Lewis urged.

"They know what they've gotten themselves into. I'm going to murder them. Then blow Spencer's head off." Vikter stated as he slipped further into his nefarious intent.

He may have retained his intelligence. But this wasn't the Vikter that Lewis worked for. The serum affected his mind. Lewis was becoming frustrated. This was too much even for him. He had to speak up even if Vikter was unstable.

"Vikter, you cant do this. This is not the vision your father had for you."

"What do you know? This is exactly what he had in mind for me! Torin men were always men who ruled by fear! As I feared him, people will fear me!" Vikter said stopping himself as he realized what he said.

He looked at Lewis, his eyes still glowing as he shook his head. The glowing ceased and Vikter came down off a brief power high. Lewis realized the deep-seated issues Vikter retained. Possible mental scarring that was only worsened by this procedure. This wouldn't end well.

"I...I won't kill any innocents Lewis. But Spencer must lose as I have lost. When the heroes are out of the way, the world will know the true king."

Lewis wanted to say no. He wanted to disagree and run away. He thought perhaps he should've been the guinea pig. Then maybe someone with morals would have the power. It was too late for that now. Far too dangerous he saw. He merely nodded in agreement.

"No innocents, complete your mission then leave everyone else be. I can't stop you and I've been by your side this long so I trust you." Lewis said knowing very well he was more skeptical than ever.

He would have to buy some time. Play his cards right. He feared whatever Vikter had become to be stronger than the Squadron. He hoped his thesis to be wrong. He hoped whatever had just come of Vikter was not to last long.

Chapter 6- Anything Can Be A Threat

--July 22nd, 2017--School Library--

The brothers had unlocked new abilities and creatures. Even getting to know their powers a bit more over the weeks. Chase, Chris, and Marcus had found out they passed the Finals. They were going to be graduating this year. High school came and blinked away. They would soon be on to college. They sat in their living room laying across from each other. All on a different couch in a U-shape around their television. Chris flipping through the television channels with the remote in hand.

"Can you imagine how stressful a campus is going to be for us?" Chase said.

"Yeah, I would expect. Especially considering puberty had other plans for us. " Marcus assured his brother.

"Guys look what's on TV!" Chris exclaimed from the living room.

Chase and Marcus went into the living room. On the TV was the news lady Tasha Leeman was reporting. A picture of Vikter is displayed on the news.

"Yes, folks. It's happening. Our beloved figure Vikter is resigning his position to his co-leader, Lewis Dunkin. We will now go to our live camera as he gives his speech." she said.

The camera switched to a view of Vikter on stage.

"Hello, my loyal customers and citizens. Yes, I am retiring. I feel my luck has run out and the company needs a new touch. But I'll still be around to protect my city. However under a different alias." Vikter said.

He grabbed the microphone off the stand and pushed the podium aside. It flew across the stage nearly hitting alumni standing on it. Then he walked forward, eventually off the stage however he never fell. He stood in mid-air much to everyone's shock. People began gasping as the camera's flashed and phones snapped videos and images.

"The Vikter you know is...no longer. V-I-C-T-O-R, The Victor is my name now! I would like everyone to address me as such" he said walking on air with seamless posture. His voice booming across the air.

He dropped the microphone from his hand. Vikter ripped off his shirt and pants revealing his shining silver costume with a large black V on it covering the majority of his torso and going over to another V on his back. He had black boots with white lines around the soles. He had no gloves or a mask. But he did have a disturbing grin that refused to leave his face since he got behind the podium until now. His face looked as evil as it could be. It was the look of insanity in a man.

"I...am sorry for the events that are about to take place. But I hope none of you get hurt." Victor said, still with a smile.

Victor's eyes glowed a bright yellow as he flew over the crowd and slammed into the ground causing a quake that made several runners fall. He then picked up a car off the ground grabbing it by the roof and tossing it at the crowd. The people panicked running and scurrying out of the way as it landed exploding and knocking the closest runners away. He then began to tear the streets apart flipping vehicles and flying through buildings. His face void of any care for his actions. He looked down at the fleeing crowd and spotted the cameraman. Frightened the man turned around and began to run only to get a few feet before bumping into Victor.

"Put the camera back on me. I have an announcement to make." Victor said as helped the man up and gave him his camera.

The terrified man simply nodded I awe of the danger he was possibly in and began to film again. Tasha Leeman was at the news building and reported the footage.

"We are once again getting live footage back. Apparently from the scene of a horrible attack from...Vikter Torin." she stated as the footage went live.

"My name is The Victor. I've come to claim the respect I deserve. You all know there are only three people in this ungrateful city who could possibly stop me. But if they don't show up." Victor reached out and crushed the camera man's head, the network cut the footage on the news. Just after his lifeless body fell to the ground alongside his camera.

"You promised you wouldn't kill anyone Victor!" Lewis said from a headset in the madman's ear.

"The casualties are necessary to make an example. The Squadron is next, then no more have to perish." Victor smiled as he continued to wreak havoc among the city streets.

"Fine, but remember our agreement. Kill me if you want, but I won't be associated with a murderer." Lewis said with regret in his voice.

But deep down Lewis knew, he was trapped. Victor had gone mad with power officially. Speaking back in this state would have proved a fatal mistake. Lewis was playing it smart and buying time for the situation. But at this moment he knew he needed to escape association with Victor.

"I don't have any jokes for this one. We gotta...he's insane." Marcus said watching in shock from home with his brothers.

"He is tearing New York asunder. Let's go, now!" Chase stated, Chris and Marcus got serious nodding in agreement.

They began to go down to their basement and put on their suits. They soon ran out the door and jumped into action. Chris flying off as an eagle while Chase hopped on Marcus's back to fly off as he became a Pterodactyl. Off to go handle the unexpected evil. All the while Victor caused more destruction. Destroying a building by tearing the pillars from underneath it. He watched as the people ran away, out the crumbling structure, in sadistic entertainment. Soon the police arrived and Victor dropped down from the air. Several feet away from the officers. The police pointed their guns at Victor. Before they could even make another slight movement he speeded closer. Appearing only arm's length from the officers before they could react. They immediately opened fire without a second thought.

The bullets however had no effect not even phasing the monster. Victor simply stood there until they stopped. The villain not even scratched, he yawned in boredom. He was untouchable. As they calmed down, he spoke to the officers.

"Leave with your friends. I'm not trying to kill any more innocents. But a particular trio of nuisances must die." Victor stated.

The police were all ready to accept the villain's act of mercy. Most immediately relaying messages as others hopped in their cars. But then the sound of vehicles and helicopters was overheard. Victor had enough, the S.W.A.T. Team had arrived. Several heavily armored trucks and five helicopters poured in. All edges of the street surrounded.

"I'm tired of this, all of this. I want the C. Squad, you humans are nothing!" Victor exclaimed in rage as his eyes glowed violently.

With a burst of air, he flew forward directly through one of the trucks. Ripping it in two like cardboard. He flew into the air with one body, throwing it up into a helicopter window. It smashed through, causing the pilot to lose control as the vehicle fell. All the while officers and SWAT alike watched in horror. But then, before the helicopter even touched the ground. In flew Marcus as a Pterodactyl, using his claws to burrow into the helicopter roof. Stopping it from exploding and killing any more SWAT.

"Ugh, finally! I was beginning to think you'd never arrive. I was getting bored. Where are your brothers?" Victor stated, showing excitement.

Marcus set the helicopter down safely, then turned to normal standing atop it. With a graceful yet powerful leap, he took off landing right in front of Victor.

"They're around. How do you know they're my brothers?" Marcus asked.

Victor laughed in the air and slowly descended toward Marcus. He landed close and leaned in. He whispered in the hero's ear.

"I know who you all are Marcus. I did some research." Victor said.

Marcus's eyes widened as he backed up. Someone knew, but not only that an insane supervillain knew. Marcus's mind flooded as his worst nightmare was immediately realized.

"How-" Marcus stumbled with his words, clearly breaking a sweat.

"Don't worry I won't tell anyone. I'm not a villain, I'm simply seeking retribution. For this plan to succeed, I must eliminate you." Victor smiled.

"What the hell happened to you? You have all this power and you're gonna destroy the city that loved you?" Marcus replied.

"Accidents happen child, but no losses only lessons. I want to assert my position as a world power. I can't do it with heroes in the way. You must learn what is necessary must be done. Shall we skip to the teaching?" Victor said.

"Sure, let's solve some problems." Marcus said cracking his neck.

He put to fingers in his mouth and whistled loudly. Chase and Chris both hopped off the nearby roof's landing next to their brother. Victor clapped slowly, simply eager to fight.

"Torin, let's get you help. Power like yours, you can't hurt people with it. It's wrong to pick on the defenseless." Chase said.

"Vikter Torin is dead! I'm not a bully. If people want to block my goal. It does not matter who they are. They must learn." Victor said as his eyes glowed yellow once more.

"Well then, I guess we're done talking." Chris said cracking his knuckles.

Chris with no hesitation and determination in his eyes ran at Victor and jumped into the air to punch him. Victor easily blocked it with his hand; grabbed his fist and threw Chris to the side. A news copter above the area caught the fight footage. Lewis saw off the simple movement the kids might not stand a chance. Regardless he hoped they'd manage.

Chris landed on his feet and looked at Victor. He was shocked a bit at first. He had put a lot of strength into the punch to gauge Victor. The villain had barely moved an inch though. Smirking to himself that the pampered guy wasn't a pushover. It was gonna be a good fight in Chris's head.

"Being rich had its benefits. The best self-defense classes money can buy. Where exactly did you learn to fight? The school cafeteria, I assume?" Victor replied taunting Chris.

Chase and Marcus tried to enter the fray but Chris put his hand up and stopped them.

"No, this one's mine." Chris replied angrily as he ran at Victor.

He tried his best to punch Victor in the face but all his punches were blocked. Chris went down to swipe Victor off his feet with a sweep kick. Unfortunately, Victor's feet weren't on the ground, he was floating. While Chris was still down Victor kicked him in the face. Chris fell back and Victor picked him up by his neck. He slammed the hero into the ground repeatedly.

"What's wrong, not so tough now are we?" Victor said as his eyes glowed yellow once more.

Wild Man roared in rage and kicked Victor off himself. Transforming into an elephant then forcing Victor to lose his balance and ramming the villain through a truck. Wild Man turned back human and began to punch Victor repeatedly with no strength held back. The force of which made Victor sink deeper and deeper through the truck. Eventually breaking the truck floor, into the ground with each punch. Victor grunted and in a flash of yellow light, Chris was sent flying down the road. Right to his brother's feet. His entire chest steaming and the area of his costume seemingly melted.

"He...has... eye lasers." Wild Man said groaning in pain.

"Well, we have new stuff too." Chase said in confidence.

Chase and Marcus went in this time. Chase running at Victor directly. Their training had allowed them to not have to form the entire creature. But even only parts they needed. Marcus sprouted Pterodactyl wings and flew high into the air. Chase's fist charged with electricity. He delivered an electric punch. Victor was unimpressed as he quickly grabbed Chase's arm and bent it. A cracking sound was heard as he pushed Chase aside and then boosted into the air with groundbreaking force. Punching Marcus in the stomach sending him crashing onto the ground.

"Who the hell does this guy think he is?" Marcus said as stood up dizzy and transformed once more into the same form.

While Marcus chased after Victor; Chris after healing a bit stood up immediately and helped Chase up. Chase then, much to his agony popped his arm back into place.

"Okay, so he's a little more adept in battle than I thought. What do we do now?" Chris said helping his brother.

"We go with a plan." Chase replied.

Marcus had been flying after Victor for a while. Victor eventually got bored and turned around shooting a barrage of yellow rays at The Fossil from his eyes. Marcus managed to dodge the beams but eventually was brought down by Vikter who used the distraction to deliver a monstrous kick to the hero's neck. Marcus fell unconscious for a brief moment. He was sent crashing downwards as his wings retracted. Chase jumped in the air and caught his brother.

"You alright Fossil?" Chase said.

"We are getting spanked bro." Marcus said standing up to gather himself.

He shook his head but quickly fell back down to his knees.

"We need a plan now everyone lean in." Chase said.

Chris, Chase and a struggling Marcus huddled up to quickly share a strategy. Victor landed on the ground and laughed.

"Y'know fate is pretty funny when you think about it. I wanted to get rid of you and fate gave me the power to do so. It's almost as if I'm destined to do so. It's ridiculous in a way!" Victor laughed as he walked down the road towards the heroes.

But then he stopped. Curious as he noticed the three whispering to each other. He shook his head, feeling slightly disrespected.

"What are you doing?" Victor asked.

"Are you really asking like we'll tell you?" Marcus replied.

There was a small pause as Victor much terrifyingly laughed. Seemingly entertained by the retort.

"Fair point, livestock." Victor said as he continued to run at the C.Squad.

"Okay, round two dusty." Chris said running at Victor breaking from the huddle.

Victor traded blows with Chris for a bit. Victor weaved the first punch. Ducked the second, blocked the third. But they were now faster and had more weight behind them. The beast-like hero's rage allowed him to land a few hard hits. Connecting one in the jaw, while Victor stumbled back, one in the stomach.

Victor was taking many hits as Chris seemingly poured on blitzing speed. His brothers noting as he landed hit after hit. But before he could gain an advantage; Victor would land a series of jabs of his own in Chris' stomach. Speed making Chris's seem childish by comparison. A strength that caused the hero to fall to his knees. He realized Victor was gauging him now.

"I must say I'm impressed. I didn't see any of these moves when you all fought The Safe. I'm almost reconsidering killing you. You should all join my cause. We're far beyond this." Victor stated.

"Really, that's such a relief. I was just thinking of swearing my loyalty to a murderer." Marcus said.

Marcus ran up behind Victor and turned his arm into an Ankylosaur tail, knocking Victor away into the air.

"Agh! Enough!" Victor said as he stopped himself mid-flight and charged his energy blasts from his eyes.

But he was confused when he saw Marcus, Chris and Chase all gone. Just then The Marine tackled Victor out of the air in form of a massive shark clamping down on Victor's entire torso arms included after jumping off a nearby building. He turned back to human form. As he delivered several shock punches to the villain repeatedly as they fell. The force of each punch seeming like a lightning rod in the sky.

Victor grabbed Chase by the neck. To which Chase responded by transforming into an entire whale. Victor once more lost control of the situation as the weight became too much for him to handle in the heat of the moment and the fall quickened. Victor eventually mustered the strength to slow the fall a bit but was instantly tackled by The Fossil before he could touch the ground and buried face first in the concrete.

Marcus grabbed Victor by the leg and swung him into Chris who turned into a gorilla and slammed the psychopath down with both fists. Victor attempted to stand, but Chase ran and jumped on his chest burying the man deeper into the ground and causing him to spit blood. The three then practically began to overpower the villain with numbers. Attacking him on the ground with the full extent of their strength. The strength that would kill a human but with this man; they could truly let loose. Weakened from the sudden onslaught Victor lied on the ground injured and bleeding from his nose and mouth. He grabbed the Fossil's leg and struggled to stand. He was simply kicked back by Marine.

"You three...haven't won. You haven't even slow...agh..slowed my plans. You've only made your fate...worse." Victor said as he struggled to sit up straight and smiled.

"Maybe, but now you see Victor. There's one thing we have that you never will. We have a team. Our bond allows us to overcome anyth--" Chase was cut off as Chris dropped a bus on Victor.

"Bro...what the fuck?" Chase said annoyed.

"Sorry, that was super corny. Any longer and he would've died of boredom." Chris said.

"Mraaaaaah!" Victor yelled as he used his lasers causing the vehicle to explode away and sending the group flying back. He flew into the air his eyes burning with rage quite literally.

He looked at the group, they were prepared to fight him to the last breath. He knew he wouldn't be able to beat them, not like this. As much as he hated to admit. He was weak, they caught him off guard and his advantage was lost. He needed a plan, he needed time, and much to his disgust he needed help.

"I'm done, enjoy your victory Creatures. It's the last one you'll have against me." he said as he flew off, a sonic boom in his wake nearly sweeping the heroes back a bit.

"After him!" Marcus said as he prepared to transform but was stopped by Chris.

"No, don't he'll be back for us. When he does we'll be ready. Right, now we get back home and rest, we're all hurt." Chris stated.

"Agreed, he's hurt so for now he's probably not going to risk any stunts. I take it his retreat means he doesn't have immediate healing." Chase said.

Marcus thought for a moment and nodded in agreement. They all needed to recuperate for now.

At home, Chris took off his shades his costume was still on as he looked in the mirror. There were some bruises from Victor's beam, they were healing though slowly. Chase sat on his bed and held his arm as it healed. But still the fact someone was out there who could hurt him so severely. It was enough to terrify him. Marcus sat on the couch in the living room, in his costume, also damaged and torn.

"So, can I turn on the TV? The quiet is weird." Marcus said.

There was silence. Marcus shrugged and turned on the TV to see the casualties caused by Victor's attack on the news.

"And even the C.Squad's late intervention could not help the people who were injured in the crossfire. This villain is still out there. How long will it take for him to come back and attack?" Tasha Leeman said as the footage was shown of Victor beating up the C.Squad.

"And will the so-called heroes The C.Squad be able to stop hi-" Marcus turned the channel to a cooking show.

There was even more silence as Marcus shook his head and sighed.

--A Month Later--

Weeks had passed since the incident. Summer Vacation was in full swing. The brothers had taken a break for a long while after the Victor incident. Chase was downstairs upgrading the suits. He hadn't stopped since the incident and barely been upstairs. Marcus and Chris sat in the living room.

"So, should we keep an eye on Lewis?" Chris asked while he and Marcus were watching basketball in the living room.

"Who?" Marcus said confused.

"Lewis, y'know the guy who runs Victory Experiments now. Chase told me he was always working for Victor. He probably still has connections to Victor too." Chris stated.

"Huh, good idea and I guess so. I mean personally, I don't think he'll be a threat I never heard of the guy." Marcus said.

"We just went up against a guy that can shoot lasers. Out of his fucking eyes. Anything can be a threat at this point." Chris said.

Chase came upstairs from the basement. He had construction googles pulled up over his head and was sweating a bit from the workload.

"Okay, I just finished repairing the suits. If you guys wanna go out patrolling, I'm working on something so I'll be in the basement." Chase said.

"What are you working on? You've been down there for weeks, breaks exist." Chris asked.

"A computer database, we're going to be facing a lot in the future and I wanna keep track of all the crime we might, did, or will probably run into." Ernest stated.

"Sounds useful, but I can't imagine that's all you worked in down there." Marcus asked.

"Of course not man, you know me. Right now thanks to my connections at Young Industries I've hacked into just about every camera and police radio in the area of New York City and if I need to, beyond. If anything comes up we'll be the first to know." Chase stated.

Suddenly an alarm went off. It was Chase, Chris and Marcus's phones.

"How, did you hack our phones?" Chris asked.

"Doesn't matter it to send the app. Also to keep track of your personal conversations. Nothing too invasive." Chase joked.

"Okay, the Wireless Crime Alert works, nice! Let's see, there's a bank robbery on twenty-second street. Two miles from there, mugging in Central Park. We also have...uh...wow." Chase's eyebrows rose in shock as the alarms became so frequent his phone was buzzing.

Marcus's phone was flooded with notifications as well. As it vibrated out of his hand and dropped to the floor.

"Holy shit that's a lotta crime. What are the police doing, playing FIFA?" he chuckled.

"Okay, how about we split up for the smaller crimes. Then for major threats like Victor, we assemble." Chris stated.

"Smart strategy brother, so I'll handle the Central muggers. You two pick a crime and....hold up forget everything." Chase's demeanor became deadly serious.

"The Safe is attacking the streets again, a bank heist. If they pull this off they could get away with over 3 billion." Chase exclaimed.

"Shit, maybe we should rob a bank." Marcus scoffed receiving confused and surprised looks from both his brothers respectively.

The three chuckled a bit and then got serious. They all suited up the new suits slightly more padded with the same designs and thicker yet more flexible and smooth material. Nearly resembling leather in feel but cloth in motion. The shades they wore on their masks showed a heads up display of the crime alerts.

"Hey what are these three lights on the display?" Marcus asked.

"Oh, well if you look closely at each letter. W, M, and F representing our respective names. If they ever flash rapidly, one of us might be in danger or just calling for backup or intel. If they ever go dark it's bad, plain and simple." Chase said.

"Anything else you come up with rocket man?" Chris asked.

"Funny you should say because, speaking of rockets, I thought since my transformations can't actually fly. I found a way to do it myself." Chase smirked.

"You're lying." Chris said already knowing what Chase meant.

"Wanna race and find out?" Chase challenged and not too soon after the three were flying through the air.

Chris in eagle form. Marcus as a Pterodactyl and Chase flying with his newly invented jet propulsion boots. Chase easily outclassed his brothers in speed.

It was yet again members of The Safe Gang had attacked. They had massacred several civilians already by launching rockets into the bank and taking down a wall. They were inside the bank stuffing money into bags. One of them fired off a shot at the roof.

"If anyone so much as twitches a finger. Everyone here is going to die painfully." one of the thieves laughed as his friends had finished stuffing their bags and began turning to run out when they saw the Wild Man and the Marine.

"You guys never learn do you?" Chris said.

"No, we don't." the man said as he reached in his pocket and grabbed a grenade and threw it at the crowd.

Marcus flew in turning human mid-flight and kicked them grenade away into a wall where it exploded. It landed in front of the opposite wall to the one the criminals had already demolished. Just then suddenly the entire roof lost support and began crumbling. The pillars in the middle of the bank giving away. As did the entire building. A large chunk of the roof almost fell on the hostages but Chris and Chase caught it.

"It'd be REAL cool if you all got out of here." Chris said as he and his brother held up the rubble.

The people ran out of the building. The roof giving around them. Chris turned into Gorilla form and tossed the rubble behind him. He then sprang into action shifting seamlessly into a Hawk; flying directly through a large chunk. Causing it to shatter into nonlethal fragments. Chase flew past grabbed the final pillar that was collapsing. Holding up the entrance as the people escaped. Marcus turned to help his brothers.

"No, get the robbers! We got this!" Chase said as he struggled with the shifting weight of the object.

Marcus nodded and transformed into Pterodactyl form and flew out of a hole in the roof caused by the destruction. Over the building and onto the road. The truck began driving off as he chased after them. He caught up easily. Landed on top of the truck and ripped the roof off.

"What's up?" Marcus smiled tossing it into the water as the vehicle entered over a bridge.

Every man in the group pointed a gun at him. He jumped down and punched one in the face before he could start. Another shot him in the back with a large machine gun. The machine gun firing off rapid heated ammunition causing the suit to glow with heat but not tear this time. Chase added better weapon proof padding and heat proofing.

"Ow, hot hot hot!" Marcus turned around and grabbed the gun tearing it in half.

He smiled at the shocked criminal. He kicked the man so he flew out the side of the truck. Off of the bridge and into the water below. Marcus dusted himself off

"Listen guys you're gonna have to try way harder if you wanna win." Marcus said as he turned around.

Only to experience two more men holding rocket launchers. Before he could utter a word or think of what to become, the rockets were fired. Blasting The Fossil out the back of the truck and down the road. He soared back as his suit smoldered a bit from the damage. The riders escaped as Marcus got hit by a larger truck. Caught off guard he was flung into the window of another car. Causing the car to stop and halt traffic in the process.

Two cars were on a collision course. Marcus watched as a third car flipped over into the air after crashing into a fourth at ridiculous speed. It was about to land on civilians. The traffic jam had built to a halt so that issue was stopped. All analyzed in mere seconds to process. Marcus turned into a brontosaurus.

Putting his long tail between the two colliding cars, providing a cushion for the crash. Then using his mouth to bite and latch onto the flipping car, mid-air. Saving the innocents and dropping it gently to the ground as the driver crawled out. Marcus turned back to human as the people in the crowd all cheered for him. He saved a few pedestrians. But innocents died today and the culprit escaped.

"Aw damn, they're gonna be pissed about this." Marcus stated.

Back at the Bank which had completely collapsed, Chris and Chase crawled out of the rubble.

"I should've switched places with Marcus." Chris spoke as he started spitting cement fragments from his mouth.

Meanwhile, on a nearby roof, the brother met up.

"What happened?" Chris asked.

Marcus was silent. He began to speak and try and explain himself.

"While I was fighting them. They caught me off guard with rockets. I fell out of the truck-" Marcus didn't even get a chance to finish his sentence.

"You let them getaway! How the hell!" Chris exclaimed as he pushed Marcus in rage.

"They caught me off guard! Get off my back, we let a whole building get destroyed today. Millions in city damage and civilian casualties. Where's your excuse?" Marcus pushed Chris back

"Excuse, this is the only lead we had on people who tried to kill Spencer! And you think I need an excuse?!" Chris exclaimed walking back towards Marcus but Chase stepped in between them.

"Okay enough! He made a mistake. We let the entire damn bank crumble down anyway. We're new to this, there are consequences to this job and benefits. We did save the majority of those people. I don't know about you guys but that's good enough for me." Chase stated.

The two looked at Chase and back toward each other. Chris spit on the floor next to Marcus.

"Next time you get aggressive with me. I'm knocking you out." Chris said as Marcus was unfazed with an angered look on his face.

They all began running jumping off the roof to fly off into the, now at the time, night sky.

--ElseWhere, SafeBase 1--

Meanwhile back at one of The Safe's bases, they brought the money to their leader Harold.

"Good, you have the funding. Now to begin our project. The C. Squad and all the other heroes won't know what hit them. Isn't that right John?" Harold said.

"Yes, sir." a voice said. It was a man seemingly in his 20s.

He had short blonde short hair. He was at least 5"11. He was a man of caucasian descent. His eyes looked as if he hadn't slept for days. And his clothes looked no better. They were worn and dirty as if he was held against his will.

"Good boy." Harold smiled.

The man went back into his room where various workout equipment and training devices were visibly scattered across the floor. He began punching a bloodstain soaked punching bag.

And no one knew but this man was the son of Police Chief Jim Yard. John Yard lost his family fighting the Figure. His daughter and wife were murdered by The Safe. His son was thought to suffer the same fate but somehow survived. He now worked for the Safe as one of their top assassins. John had recently been recruited once more to receive upgrades and battle the C. Squad. Harold hadn't told him though so John thought it would be a regular heist. Both heroes and villains alike were in for a surprise.

Chapter 7- Storm Brewing

--Miami Beach, 11:40AM--

Meanwhile on the beach was a very skinny, white, and long-haired homeless man. Wearing a large black garbage bag. The homeless man was trying to steal food from beach visitors. Only when they left their towels. The police eventually saw him. Chasing him down off beach, onto the streets. He eventually lost them in an alleyway. At that moment, Victor flew in and landed in front of the man. The sound of his feet hitting the concrete ground made the man jump. Victor grabbed the man by his plastic garments and slammed him against a brick wall.

"Stand up brother. You look pathetic." Victor dropped the man to his feet.

"V-Vikter, what is...you've...changed." the man said recognizing his brother.

"I no longer use that moniker, Virgil. My name is The Victor now. I am better than I was before. Even so, before I became what I am now. I was surely still better than...what you are now." Victor replied as his brother stood up and walked over to his brother slowly.

"You're the one who fired me. You ended my research. You're the reason I'm....this!" Virgil said banging on his brother's chest.

There was pain in each step and no power behind his hits. He was a broken man. It was possible he could be fixed, at least in Victor's eyes. After all, they were related.

"I know and honestly, I apologize." Victor put on a truly convincing smile.

His brother stepped back again and shook his head in disapproval.

"You're lying to me. You don't regret anything Vikter. I know you, and I'm not calling you that either. I read the papers, you're a murderer." Virgil said.

"I'm a visionary who failed to see. I was too blind to see that your work, was actually genius. I'm willing to fund it. If you would like to continue the project." Victor said.

"You said it was impossible. You said I was crazy and that no such thing could ever be feasible." Virgil stated.

"So is this, but here I am before you." Victor floated in mid-air and his eyes glowed yellow with heat.

His brother was so shocked he took a step back against the wall. Hearing about it was one thing. Yet seeing his brother like this was almost too much to handle.

"If floating in the air is possible, I'm sure controlling air can be too. Come my brother and everyone who ever rejected you; said your idea was too obscene will pay. You'll be just as powerful as me." Victor stated as he reached out his hand.

Virgil looked at his brother and grabbed the villain's hand. Victor pulled his brother into the air and flew off. They arrived at the Victory Experiments building. Victor gave his brother a completely new look. A nice suit, a haircut making his long white hair short so he could see past and cleaning it. Even feeding his brother who had been living off scraps for months. A day passed as Victor even allowed his brother a full night's rest in the lower labs having a room set up for him. Victor eventually showed his brother to the secret lower level labs. On the wall, there was a computer screen with profiles of the C.Squad open. It was only pictures and didn't list their identity that only Victor and Lewis knew. Virgil was shocked to see what his brother had become.

"You're like a supervillain." Virgil said.

"No, the difference between me and a supervillain is that I'm real and my cause won't end in sixteen pages of a comic book." Victor stated as he pulled up the blueprints for Virgil's air control device.

It was called "Project Windbreaker" the main point was to build a machine that could manipulate the atmospheric pressure to control the wind or at least guide it. However, it never started before Victor labeled it "impossible" and when he found out his brother asked Spencer's company for help who immediately rejected. He was fired and thought to be insane by every other company he asked to fund his project.

"With my resources, we'll build the machine. You will harness the power of nature itself." Victor stated.

Virgil looked at his plans, actually surprised.

"You saved my blueprints." Virgil mumbled.

"I saved everything, Virgil. I wish I had never let a petty rivalry separate us. I attempted to reach out. But you had blocked me from contact. I assumed you would want nothing to do with me." Victor stated standing from the keyboard.

"I didn't, I was blinded by hatred. Didn't realize I may have pushed away the help I needed at the time." Virgil said.

"You can always reach out to me brother. Torin men are never to be beggars. We choose our destiny, remember this." Victor stated.

"I'll be sure to." Virgil replied.

"None of your past matters anymore though. The same I can say for myself. All that matters is our future and I see power, limitless power!" Victor exclaimed ecstatically.

"Agreed." Virgil said smiled happy that his plans were being fulfilled. But also having a strange feeling. He didn't quite fully trust this new version of his brother. Regardless he was willing to accept the help.

--Thursday, 10AM, Callan Household--

At the home of Chase, Chris and Marcus they had been out all night doing heroic things. Saving babies, helping firemen, stopping robbers, the usual routine.

"Sometimes I wished I just settled for a job at McDonald's because this hero stuff is exhausting." Chase said taking off his shades, the three just getting home from a stopping terrorist attempt.

"Hey, keeps us busy and keeps everyone safe." Marcus smiled.

"True that, I can't believe how easy it is to get a rocket launcher. Chase, we need rocket launchers." Chris laughed as he groaned in pain.

Suddenly someone knocked at the door. The squad still had their suits on. As if a hivemind the brothers collectively lost their shit, panicking immediately.

"Shit." Chris muttered wondering what to do.

"Grab the raincoat out of the closet." Chase said as he took off his boots and put on his rain boots and Marcus passed him the coat which covered his suit. The person knocked again. Chase opened the door as Chris and Marcus ran upstairs to hide and change. His eyes widened as he turned to see the man was Spencer Alden Young of Young Industries. The man who had been taking care of the brothers thus far.

"Hey, um Chase, what's with the raincoat." Spencer said a bit taken aback.

"I heard it was going to rain today." Chase said confidently.

"It's seventy-six degrees out and it's Summer. What the hell is wrong with you?" Spencer said knowing something was wrong.

"Goddamn internet, can't trust it for any news. Um, speaking of unexpected weather why are you here?" Chase asked scratching the back of his head.

"Listen, I...I wanted to check in on you. You told me over the phone last night." Spencer stated.

"When-oh, oh damn." Chase remembered when he answered the phone yesterday in the middle of his midday sleep. After a long night of criminal activity, he just said "yeah" to everything Spencer asked.

One of those things Chase said "yeah" to was that Spencer could visit apparently.

"Oh well, um, we're doing great lately. Eating right, growing fast, being responsible." Chase rattled on knowing he was just buying time for his brothers.

"That's nice, good to hear. If you don't mind me asking, where are your brothers?" Spencer smiled finding it strange that Chase was the only one there.

"Right here! Chase why don't you get out of that raincoat, you look dumb." Chris said as he walked up in regular clothes with Marcus.

"Good idea. Let yourself in if you want we can chat and eat." Chase said as he left the door going upstairs and Chris held the door to let Spencer in.

Spencer sat on the couch in the living room. His arms crossed and face in deep thought. Across on another couch were Marcus and Chris who sat silent.

"Um, why so quiet? I haven't seen you guys in forever. I heard you all graduated and I'm here to celebrate. " Spencer asked.

"We did, it was hard, but we came out successful in the end." Marcus said chuckling nervously.

"Yeah, sorry it's been a while. So how's the business going?" Chris asked seeming to be the only one calm.

"Great actually, the new Vitamin design Chase helped with is great. He's such a nice young man. I can see me passing the business onto him one day when he's old enough." Spencer stated.

"Yep, that's our brother. A smart guy, sometimes it's annoying" Marcus smiled awkwardly.

"Still, enough about your brother. What about you two. Anything interesting change in your lives?" Spencer asked with a smile.

"We have different hobbies. I play sports, exercise. Personally, I'm getting into detective movies. I think some police work would be cool." Chris said.

"Ah, the field of police work is a good path indeed, dangerous though. Criminals are ruthless these days." Spencer said sarcastically.

"Oh, we've dealt with more dangerous." Marcus uttered jokingly.

Spencer's head turned to the side. He had seen the footage of the C. Squad. Three heroes with special abilities. He noticed the absence of his children during the event. Now was their chance to come clean. So why weren't they? He sighed and laughed to cool the situation.

Chris's smile didn't fade however as he joined the laugh. But shot a glance at Marcus.

"You three, heh, getting into dangerous situations? Other than a couple of school fights; I remember my boys relatively boring." Spencer chuckled as he sat back.

"Hey cut us some slack. The money didn't make us completely soft." Chase said as he walked downstairs in regular clothes as well.

"Chris here is into parkour, a very dangerous activity. Involves lots of flips and jumping from high places. People have broken their necks doing it, y'know. But...but Chris is safe with it." Chase said as he nervously laughed.

"Wow, uh cool to hear that. I-" Spencer stopped as his watch beeped.

"Ooo, sorry guys. I gotta get back to business have a meeting in a couple of minutes. But you all sound like you're doing great. I'm sure...your father would be proud. I know I am. " Spencer smiled and the three brothers smiled back as the family shared a group hug.

"Thank you...so about the Vikter situation." Chase exclaimed as Spencer was about to rush out.

Spencer stopped dead in his movement. He thought this was it, the big reveal.

"If by some chance no one can protect you...I think you should hide until further notice." Chase said.

Spencer stood there and lightly laughed a bit. He realized it then and there. After all this time, they were trying to protect him too. Just as worried about him, as he was about them. He decided maybe it was for the best he didn't know. Revealing now would only make him a larger target.

"I've outfitted my security with cutting edge technology. I have more firepower at my fingers than you boys see in my public announcements." Spencer chuckled.

"Listen he was toying with the C. Squad...for lack of a better term." Chase said peering out the corner of his eye at Chris who bit his lip in slight enragement.

"If they can't stop him and the police force can't stop him; what makes you think a few guns will save you if he comes knocking. I'm just saying you should consider-"

"Enough Chase, I'm sick of hearing the paranoia. He's a fraud, I could care less of that half-assed excuse for a threat the news is calling The Victor. Let him come near me and I'll be fine, now I have to be somewhere." Spencer began to walk out stopping one more time at the porch.

"You boys stay smart and stay safe. I don't want you getting hurt because of me. I fully trust you to take care of yourselves. He's a maniac so he might come for the ones I care for. I don't know what I would do if he got to you." Spencer said as he continued to walk and get in a slick advanced armored Ferrari like car. Colored fully black like a secret service vehicle.

Two men stood beside the car door and one behind. All three of which holding large advanced guns. Seemingly powered by some source as they were glowing orange.

"We'll be safe pops. We learned a lot more than book smarts." Marcus said as Spencer drove off. He closed the door before he fell to the ground.

Not hurt, but simply socially exhausted. Living without any parents wasn't easy. But Spencer was the closest thing they had to a father figure. That was honestly good enough for them. The Victor situation posed a new issue. Hopefully, Spencer really could defend himself. Unknown to them, Spencer was pretty much completely aware. Only wanting visual confirmation. Further unknown to Spencer, Victor also knew.

He thought deeply on the car ride. He wanted to help his children. He could've given them armor, tools, weapons. But he would make himself a target. Risk their identity being exposed. He'd have to sit on the problem. Knowing eventually they'd have to tell him. For now, maybe he'd help in secret. Bumping up their allowance and maybe keeping surveillance.

Back at the house, Chris leaned against a wall. Rubbing his head trying to soothe a headache.

"Well, that was...emotional."

"Yeah, I kept getting this lurking feeling he was going to know. My body can't take much more of this hiding." Marcus replied.

"We have to, at least for now. I'd wanna tell him too but honestly...ugh it's too much for now." Chase said groaning due to the situation.

"I agree, so to clear the air who's up for a trip?" Chris asked.

Chase and Marcus both raised their hands calmly.

"Bet, if anything we can go to Coney Island. I'm in a mood to be amused." Chris stated.

"Sounds fine by me." Marcus agreed.

Soon the three were on a train to an Amusement Park. Meanwhile Victor and his brother worked on their Air Pressure control device. It was nearly done due to Victor having already started most of it. The general device itself was designed. It was two cylindrical tubes with blue wires connecting the and a spinal interface. By connecting directly via the medulla it makes the user wirelessly able to control the device.

However, he needed his brother's knowledge to make the device stabilize. Also to build a more suitable engine system. He turned it on for a test drive and it began emitting powerful gale-force winds. They would have destroyed the lab had Victor not turned it off. Virgil however realized the machine instantly overheats, due to the amount of pressure it has to use.

Victor never realized that because of his invulnerable skin not allowing him to feel the heat. Virgil corrected this by adding vents that would periodically cool the device. Virgil then put the machine on his back like an Oxygen Tank and had Victor activate it. It immediately embedded itself in Virgil's skin and gave him wireless control and influence over the device. He winced a bit at the pain. But soon gathered himself as the machine powered on.

"Well, test it out Virgi-" Victor was sent flying back into the computer screen and fell to the ground.

"Is it impossible now?" Virgil said as he held his hand up at Victor smiling.

Victor laughed a bit then got up. He saw it coming and laughed as he kind of deserved it.

"No it isn't, nothing is. Especially destroying the C.Squad. They'll get in our way, so as a favor from one brother to another. End their lives for me." Victor smiled.

"Why can't you do it? You're not even going to help? This is some sort of Guinea Pig test run isn't it?" Virgil asked.

"I'll come with you as a backup plan. I just don't want to get in your way. With your power, they won't lay a finger on you." Victor smiled.

Virgil looked at the ground for a bit then looked at Victor and nodded. He knew his brother still likely wasn't trustworthy. But he was correct, the C. Squad is a threat that needs to be exterminated. And a welcome test to his upper limits.

"Glad to see you come around. Let's pay those kids a visit." Victor said as began floating.

"How are we gonna find them? What's the plan in general?" Virgil inquired.

"When they thought they beat me not too long ago. I faked getting jumped so they'd come close. Placing a tracker in their suits. Not only do I know who they are, I know where they are." Victor said.

--Coney Island, 5PM--

At Coney Island, the brothers were on the Drop Tower, they went up high into the air to the point where everyone else below was minuscule. Of course, the brothers being literal heroes who have flown before weren't surprised but rather bored as they dropped down. Halfway down they stopped and went back up, then dropped fast again. Chase and Marcus grilled Chris for convincing them to come. He simply sat there also regretting the decision.

The brothers were relatively immune to the thrill of the carnival after their adventures. This feeling didn't last long though. As suddenly the winds started picking up rapidly. The entire park became a deadly storm of flying objects. People screamed as the pole rocked in the wind. It came down to the point where they had to end the ride and let all the people off. The park was quickly evacuated as people began to run out.

"What's going on?!" Chris yelled as his voice became inaudible amid the wind.

"I would say a tropical storm. But the probability of such without a forecast warning is slim! Still..." Chase was stopped from yelling in the wind.

"Okay, not only have you lost me. But I can barely hear you." Chris interrupted.

As they were talking, the powerful winds began blasting game stands and merchandise into the air. Several people began screaming as the winds sped up and some of them began to float across the ground and into the air. The Squadron looked on in terror. Unable to help in their current state.

Then Virgil landed in the middle of the park with a burst of wind. With his landing, a shockwave obliterated all within ten feet of the villain. The villain stood as people looked on and fleeing in terror. Victor watched from the sky. Out of the vision of the crowds and began smiling in approval.

"We can't have ONE goddamn normal day!" Chris said rolling his eyes. He looked around and nodded at his brothers.

"Good thing you convinced me to bring the suits." Chase said.

They instantly ran away to change. Ripping off their garments to reveal the suits underneath. Virgil used the wind to lift a "Hit the Target" stand and throw it into a spinning "G. Force" ride. The ride came off the railing and spun down the street. People began running away jumping out of its path. It was about to roll into a group of terrified civilians. But it was stopped and lifted into the air. Fossil was underneath it and tossed it aside.

"You okay." Marcus asked one girl in the front.

"Y-yes. I think so." she said.

"You're fine, go get out of here. You and everyone." Marcus said smirking at her.

The girl turned away but then Fossil called her back.

"Hey, call me!" Marcus smiled.

The girl smiled but then a gust of wind slammed into Fossil. He was flung back first into a flagpole as the girl screamed and ran. Virgil used his powers to levitate Fossil and throw him into a small pool stand with toy ducks in it. He dunked in headfirst and immediately sat up spitting out water and grabbing a toy duck off his head which he tossed angrily.

"You are The Fossil, correct?" Virgil said as he levitated himself over with his wind power.

"Yeah, why?" Marcus replied.

"Die." he said as he prepared to blast Marcus with his wind power. However as he raised his hand Chris jumped in, punching the villain in the jaw.

Virgil was sent floating several feet back. He stopped himself, rubbing the blood from his mouth. With rage in his face, he flicked his hand upward, sending Chris flying into the air. Chase was next to attack, tackling the man to the ground. Victor still watching, frowned a bit. Noticing the Squadron to be a bit more adaptive. They had clearly trained as well. They learned to better use their group advantage.

The villain made a slight movement, he was going to end the test. Victor brushed it aside though. As he saw Virgil turn the tables once more. Chase attempted to punch the villain. However, Virgil took a deep breath. Literally blowing the hero away, Chase flipped in the air. Landing on the ground several feet from the enemy. Chris and Marcus immediately closed in again as the three surrounded their target.

"Persistent, but half-hearted, weak. I'm surprised my brother had such trouble with you. The power to rip a car to shreds. Yet you pull your punches."

"Brother, what are you talking about?" Chris exclaimed as Virgil smiled to reply.

"The resemblance isn't obvious? I was told Torin men give off a unique aura." Virgil chuckled slightly after.

"Torin...Victor, you're-how did you find us?!" Chase inquired with a rage.

"It doesn't matter Marine if that's true that means Victor is watching. So he'll get front row seats to the ass whooping." Chris replied as he charged forward.

Marcus and Chase wasted not a second following. The second they got in range Virgil smiled. He spun around extending his arm. A current of wind snatching the three surround brothers up as he did. He spun faster and faster eventually stopping as a tornado was formed. The brothers were helpless in the air. Chris attempted to transform into a bird. However even with the enhanced strength; flight was all but impossible. Even Chase, with his propulsion boots on their highest output, was at Virgil's mercy.

Victor smiled, it seemed Virgil was quickly becoming accustomed to his power. Virgil used his power to cause a massive pulse of air. Dispersing the tornado explosively. The boom could be heard throughout the city. All glass in the area was shattered. The heroes were sent smashing through the park. Flying into roller coaster support beams.

Virgil did not stop there though. He brought the entire structure down on the three with his powers. Attempting to ensure they stayed down. Victor smiled and Virgil felt relieved actually. Despite his powers, he was still only human and in bad shape after so long spending his life on the streets. The superhuman strength of the C.Squad would prove too much for him if he let the fight drag on.

He floated over to the wreckage to check for the bodies. He was slightly scared and incredibly annoyed to see the debris rumble. Wild Man bursting out of the wreckage first. His suit was heavily damaged, and his body sore. He too had the same mindset. This fight had to end as Virgil was powerful. If they weren't careful and quick he could easily gain the upper hand.

Chris jumped at him transforming into a Gorilla. He smashed onto the villain with both arms. However, Virgil blocked it with a wall of air. He then blasted overhead. Sending him landing into a Ferris Wheel. Chase and Marcus rushed him immediately afterward. They jumped to attack, however, Virgil slammed them both into the ground. With such force not only the ground beneath them, but a few bones cracked as well.

"Talk about aerodynamic...wait oh shit. That can be your villain name. The kids will love it. " Marcus smiled as he coughed up blood.

"Oh man, that's not good." he said as Virgil prepared to deliver a death blow.

At that moment, Chris in the form of a snake wrapped around Virgil's neck and suffocated him.

"Shhh, go to sssleep." Chris's snake form whispered in the villain's ear.

Virgil created a small eruption of wind around himself forcing the Wild Man to go flying up once more. As he flew into the air yet again. He mumbled to himself.

"This is already getting old."

Victor watched in amusement, his brother had stopped underestimating the children. Virgil then sent shrapnel and rubble flying at the heroes like projectiles. They were helplessly pelted as Virgil unleashed his true wrath. Wild Man turned into a rhinoceros and began charging through it. Though he was lifted into the air and blasted into the distance with the rest of his brothers.

"You can't ever hope to beat my power. Victor underestimated you, I will not be so unwise." Virgil boasted as his brother watched in disgust of his sibling's words.

He came to realize that if Virgil won this his ego may receive a massive boost. A likely volatile and condescending one at that. Nonetheless, Victor watched still. Knowing he could manage if things got out of control.

"You're already making a mistake your brother did, talking too much." Marcus said as he ran at Virgil and jumped into the air only to be stopped mid attack.

Virgil formed a mini-tornado around Marcus's head using the air to suffocate Marcus. All the while the hero struggled to move. Chase suddenly attacked though, flying in with his rocket boots and turning into a large white shark. He clamped his jaws into Virgil's device. Causing it to be damaged. He was quickly swung off as Virgil spun quickly and blasted the hero away.

Not only was he bleeding badly from the bite. The machine's cooling system was damaged. It began overheating and burning Virgil. He screamed in agony as his brother looked on from the air concerned. Yet also reluctant to help immediately. He wanted to witness the loss. Feeling his brother had yet to learn humility in his new status.

Chris landed in front of Virgil seeing an opening and punched him square in the face, breaking his jaw.

"That's why we pull our punches." Chris said as his enemy fell.

Virgil struggled a bit but still stood. Summoning his winds only to be tail whipped into a prize stand by Fossil in Raptor form. The three stood as Virgil also did bloody and beaten. The machine had overloaded. Now fused and burnt into his back. Melting his flesh and bone as it did. He fell to his knees in agony. Chase quickly changed his demeanor first, becoming concerned and walking to help Virgil.

Victor who had seen enough quickly flew down blasting the ground between his brother and the group creating an explosion that sent the heroes flying back while landing to shield his brother.

As the smoke cleared, the heroes looked on in horror. Getting in a fighting stance yet again. As they expected Victor to be furious. Instead, he seemed to barely notice them. More concerned about his brother's condition. He looked up to utter words that sent chills into the Squadron.

"You will pay dearly." Victor said as he flew off with his injured brother.

The three were almost at a loss for words.

"That was-" Marcus was answered.

"Victor? Yep, it was." Chris said.

"So, sending villains after us now?" Marcus asked.

"Apparently so." Chase stated.

"He could've double-teamed us with his brother. Yet he chose to watch. He's testing us but...fuck..."

Marcus suddenly grunted as he grabbed his chest and fell to the ground. Chris and Chase immediately ran to their brother. He was completely unconscious.

"Marcus? Bro?! Oh no, we have to get him home now." Chase said.

-Victory Experiments Lower Lab, 1AM--

Back at Victor's Lab, Victor put his brother on a futuristic medical table with small V-shaped drones that deployed from the table. They used what appeared to be a special burning liquid. Almost lotion-like in property, it was secreted and absorbed into his injured areas to minimize pain and quicken healing. His brother screamed in pain still, it was barely enough. But soon, his breathing normalized. The machine had fused to his lungs. Sending air through his body. He was able to speak, but still in pain.

"Victor please, God please, kill me now! Separate me from this machine!" Virgil said as he writhed in agony.

He coughed generating a massive airburst from his body. Destroying equipment and causing Victor to slide back a few inches.

Victor was shocked as his brother had seemingly fused permanently to the machine. Beginning to use it more as an extension of himself almost effortlessly. He wanted to save his brother. Though in that moment he realized a sadistic idea. Realizing Virgil was much more powerful now.

"I'll find a way brother. Don't you worry. " Victor said, leaving Virgil none the wiser on his intent.
