I'll probably pick this up. Still haven't picked up the standard edition or Ghidorah yet, but those are on the list as well. For some reason j really enjoy the look of this figure.
Tbh I agree the line seems to be dying off. Shame because this is the line that got me back into collecting as well. But it's been a boring couple of years.

How fast is it expected to sell out in Japan? Is it worth pre-ordering an import just in case and cancelling if they announce a US release or is it safe to wait it out a bit?Naruto65 wrote:Waiting for confirmation from Bluefin.
MandaSaurus wrote:@Maritonic: No, most people's aren't. But I have an eye for detail that few here can match. I've been collecting longer than most of you have been alive. I'm also nearsighted, which means that I see things up close CRYSTAL-clear, which means I can point out details & differences like the guy who sculpted the item. So, forgive me if there's only a handful of folks in these forums whose opinion I put on a par with MINE...

All of these middleman services have a "no cancellation" policy. This won't sell out like the Poster Version. That was limited to 3000 pieces.GhidoGoji wrote:How fast is it expected to sell out in Japan? Interestingly enough, the Rodan and Mothra Set actually sold out in the USA within 2 days of solicitation and japanese preorders were live until the preorder window closed as scheduled.

Most Godzilla lines seem to be dropping 4-5 items a year. I don't see a difference this year.

They do like 1-3 releases a year right? Crazy stuff.Godzilla21 wrote:You obviously don't collect X Plus_JNavs_ wrote:Most Godzilla lines seem to be dropping 4-5 items a year. I don't see a difference this year.
Added in 2 minutes 32 seconds:
So I ordered Ol-Frozone Shinny boy a week ago, and other than it taking absolutely forever for it to get here from Cali, USPS have the package under "Direct Signature required", I've never had to sign for a figure before lol... A live animal? Yeah, I've signed for them, but a figure? I guess it must be pretty heavy huh? I think when I checked the specs online it came out to 5 pounds, which is crazy for an SHMA.

SHMA on average is about 7 releases in a year. This year was 6 releases. The best year was 2017 with 13 releases.

On some level I'm thankful for the slow down as it allows me to keep up. Otherwise I'd have to pass on even more figures than j already do. So maybe I'm eating my words here.

There's more to come. I was going to put 2020 placeholders on the site but thinking of holding off for now.
Update on USA release, received the HiRes images today from Bluefin. While they didn't explicitly say yes, normally when a product is not going to be made available, they make sure to say so.

I gotta be honest here. Watched a couple reviews on this Mothra/Rodan set, and I’m really really excited to get my hands on Rodan. Definitely looks like there’s more to be desired with some of the paint, but overall it looks really solid. Can’t wait!

I wonder if Naruto knows if the Angels are truly scrapped or might resurface...

I don't. In 2015 we asked about them and the answer was that nothing is ever scrapped, only shelved or re-developed for a later release. Also licensing issues.

Well it looks like Bandai has the license back....
I shouldn't get my hopes up though, but I wanna believe.
