Didn't realize it was so small compared to the rest. Bit of a downer, but scale doesn't matter to me.

Seriously though why couldn't they make him look like G 1995 and not a 60s Godzilla.
I wished they went left field and do an Electromagnetic Godzilla already.
That would definitely be worth buying and would go much better with Mecha Godzilla

Oh No, it's the SHMA 1964 all over again.

WHY did they make it smaller than the Showa MechaG bank?!? Sure, MechaG should have a LITTLE height on Goji, but that's ridiculous!!!

I was excited to repaint this but not in this tiny proportion...

Gentle Giant did the sculpt, they're probably not in tune with Diamond's scale.

Anyhow I'm still intriqued to redo the face and neck. Wished it was larger.

Gentle Giant sculpted all of the Godzilla banks.

My only guess is, because of Godzilla's large tail, they had the shrink it in order to keep it under the $40 price range. But the 1989 bank is the biggest, has a fairly large tail, and still costs the same. Maybe they had to make up for costs somewhere.

Don't see why it's so big a deal. They're just banks, not expensive X-Plus figures.

It's $40 only $20 away from the price of SHMA Rebirth Godzilla, SHMA 1964 doesn't get a pass why should this?

The bank isn't being made by a prolific Japanese company with 35 years experience in Godzilla toys making a figure sculpted by Yuji Sakai.

And considering this bank series also includes busts and probably the stiffest, oddest looking original Mechagodzilla in creation, I don't see how scale is really something to cry about. They're not action figures or statues. They're banks.

And even then, it's really not that far off.

It looks fine. Showa Godzilla was smaller than the Heisei one anyway.

But like Legion said: they're banks. It doesn't matter.

Fair enough reasoning. You can buy them all, but they're not supposed to be part of a set, so they wouldn't need to match. They're supposed to be enjoyed individually, even if you don't store money in them.

I was thinking, since Diamond partnered with Bandai America, could it be possible that they'll start making 6-inch vinyl figures now? Imagine if they made them in the same speed as the banks. Heck, I'd re-buy some of the current banks as scaled-down figures, if the detailing improves.

I'd rather we don't get yet another six-inch Heisei Godzilla and Burning Godzilla.

That's why I said some. I was thinking the Rodan bank. Actually that's the only one I was thinking of...

But looking back it seems like Diamond is only distributing Bandai's products. Ah well.

The Rodan bank is out now. Midtown updated the listing as in stock, but they probably won't be shipping until next week.

And now it looks like JJ is out, too.

Hopefully there will be a new bank at Toy Fair.

Man, Rodan sounds tempting and looks it. It's a great sculpt. I'd pick him up if I had money right now, but the holidays have been a killer.
