Gonna move all the big guys to a new shelf, and my new NECA collection to a new shelf also.

Pretty basic, but I'm happy to say everyone of them is played with by my 2 year old daily, except the NECA anyway.
Pretty sure he would rip it to shreds.

Most of my 500 series. I am currently working on arranging the bottom shelf to fit the rest that aren't in the picture.

I have a display case like this as well, but figuring out how to level the figures at different heights is somewhat of a chore. What kind of "stairs" are you using?

Re: Display Your Collection
I use various clear containers ranging from those that are used to put in baseball cards, hockey pucks, beanie babies, to toy cars.
These clear containers that I was using temporary for these kaiju toys are normally for beanie babies.
My favorite are the acrylic risers. But these cost 2 to 3 times than the above mention. The advantage to these is that they are thicker and tails fit through better. The thickness is important so if it's a long section, then the weight of the toys sitting on top of it do not start sinking it in over time.

Yep, the paints are different for the box set. Some photos I took to show the difference on some of them.Desolation MM wrote:Just looking at your pics, I guess there is a big difference in the paint on the Tyrant Utilitive Box Set kaiju and the normal releases.

Criminey, I'm now realizing that I haven't got many "collection" shots and that most of them are years old now. Gonna have to take some pics of my ever growing horror at some point, but here's a few old one's just 'cause.

Nice collections here, though I confess my noobness in that tons of these critters are completely unfamiliar to me. But I also have never seen Ultraman, but I'm guessing a lot are from there?

Anybody here have kids that play with their stuff?
I let my son pretty much go at all my vinyls, keeping in mind they are all loose figure stuff really isn't worth a ton.
Keep the Neca stuff away from him just because of the track record they have for issues.
Makes me lug the big ole Jakks down from a shelf pretty much daily to try and beat up.

If memory serves me right, goji89 said his son played with his SHMA Godzilla 1994 1st Edition and he hopes his son'll play with the NECA 94 instead of the MA 94.TheRadness wrote:Anybody here have kids that play with their stuff?

Re: Display Your Collection
Nice Kenner Aliens collection MM. I have most those except the Bull Alien. Also makes me wanna bust out my Kenner Jurassic Park collection.Desolation MM wrote:On the box set versus normal releases, I'll probably just stick with my box. Too many kaiju I still need to get.
Anyway, I did some shelf re-organizing this weekend and made a lot of room. So much room I was able to make a sort of nostalgia shelf for myself, utilizing some of my favorite things that have survived since the 1990's. Been wanting to put these on display for a while now, and it makes a great placeholder until I can get a real Alien/Pred shelf started next year.

I found room for my new Microman figures and I think they fit in nicely here.

I also moved my Power-Up figures here as well, letting them stand out on their own without being cramped in with the other Trendmasters figures. Yes, I need to fix this shelf however. Just need a sharpie marker, haha.

Re: Display Your Collection
TheRadness, both my kids play with my figures. I don't let my 10 year old son do much with my NECA Pacific Rim figures (he seems far more interested in those than the Godzilla ones) but once in awhile I let him play with them for a little bit, after I remind him of the possibility of loose joints and not to smack them together like he does his Transformers.
My 4 1/2 year old daughter mostly likes to arrange them together, mostly biggest to smallest (Jakks obviously gets top billing) and calls them "happy family" and tells me what each one is. The Jakks is either the mom or the dad, and the rest are little babies and brothers and sisters. She tends to stay away from my new Battle-damaged Knifehead though, saying "He's an ugly monster! You put him next to daddy Godzilla, so they fight."

haha sounds like my kids!
The lil dude is only 2, and he has free range over all the vinyl figures in the collection. His favorites are an old Rodan and anything Mecha G.
He'll play with them up until he's got 4 or 5, then he starts posing them and staring at them.
I showed him the trailer to G14 the other day and now he only identifies him as Gozila LOUD.
I keep my Neca figures on a different shelf, and everyday when we get up the first thing we do is turn on the light and go look at em for a couple mintues!
My 6 year old doesn't really care for Godzilla, but loves Mothra and the merch along with it.
The Grandparents are getting my son a Godzilla Plush and the Daughter a Mothra plush for Christmas!
