1956 or 2019. I don't like the Heisei one, for some reason.
I like virtually all of them, but 1998 and 2019 are the best.
1974. I'll be honest and say that I don't vibe with Mechagodzilla much in general, but I do like the first one, and the Heisei one to a lesser degree.

SImply talking about design and not their role in the story or how they acted:

Godzilla- 2003 (complete with the scar)

Rodan- tie between 1956 and Monsterverse
King Ghidorah- Monsterverse
Mechagodzilla- Kiryu (Specifically Tokyo SOS version with that kickass grey backpack and drill hand)

Talking about incarnation and how they acted/featured in their movie

Godzilla- Shin, GMK, or Legendary. Idk, I like all Godzillas for different reasons.
Mothra- 1964
Rodan- 1964 or Monsterverse. He's a cheeky prick either way.
King Ghidorah- 1964 or Monsterverse
Mechagodzilla- 1974, easily. GvK a close second.

The Kiryu saga monsters have amazing designs but Godzilla's a brainless oaf, Kiryu works well enough but something feels empty about him and I'm not sure what it is, and Mothra is just there.

I think something is "lost in translation" with the Monsterverse designs. Godzilla's face looks square, feet look weird, and you can barely see his eyes. Rodan looks like a bird. Mothra looks like a wasp. And Ghidorah doesn't look nearly as asian inspired.

This. I hate how Godzilla’s got a tiny, square, nearly eyeless head. Rodan looks so weirdly proportioned, you wouldn’t be able to tell it was Rodan if it were shown with no context or no knowledge of the MonsterVerse. Mothra is my favourite design of the 6 in the MV tied with Kong. King Ghidorah (now I’ve said this a lot) looks too western for me. I’d have preferred the Asian dragon style of Showa. Then we have MG, who I think looks stupid as all hell. I hate his whole face and head, he’s got ridiculous, huge arms for no reason with monstrous hands, and his spines look so bland and boring.

Anything with "Shokogeki" in it's name refers to the designs from GMK, and anything with "Hesei" in it's name refers to the designs in the Hesei era (idk if those are actual suit names, I just saw the GvKG Ghidorah suit referred to as HeseiGhido and kinda ran with it. Gojipedia really needs to make it easier to access suit pages). Anything with "Kiryu" in it's name refers to the designs in the Kiryu Duology (with the exception of Mothra, which has "Tokyo" instead becuz she appears only in Tokyo SOS), and anything with "Shodai" in it's name refers to the designs in each creature's debut film.

"RaishuGhido" refers to the Grand King Ghidorah design in Rebirth of Mothra 3.

"SanDaikaijuRado" refers to the Rodan design used in the Showa Godzilla movies.

I came up with "GyuraRado" as a name for the Rodan designs in Singular Point (to my knowledge, there's no traditional design name for these bois, but the Godzilla design for SP has been named "GyuraGoji" by Japanese fans as a play on the pronunciation of "Singular" in Japan, so I just ran with that).

Anything that starts with "Ani" refers to the designs in the POTM trilogy (technically none made the list, but I did reference some as reaching #6).

Mothra has the added "Imago" at the end because I'm referring to her adult moth designs. I count Mothra Leo as a separate entity to Mothra, but if I didn't, many Mothra Leo designs would be in my Top 5.

Monsterverse designs don't have design names because at this point I'm more used to not using design names for the Monsterverse (although fan names do exist).
