This paperback is an almost exact reprint of the original hardcover copy of this book that McFarland released 10 years ago (the hardcover copy came out in 1997 and the paperback copy, which is being discussed here, came out in 2007). For those who missed it the first time, people now have the chance to add it to their collection. Although a bit dated, it provides impressive information about the first 22 films of the Godzilla series and it's from an author who has done vasts amount of research on the subject, and who recently provided the commentary for the release from Classic Media of the DVD of Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster. Furthermore, while the price may be a bit much, it is better than the retail of the hardcover copy when it was released in 1997.
